  1. Here are mine. Remember I dominated the predictions last year but this year I dont have a dog in the hunt. This is just for fun. Also I ranked by how I think they will place in Final.

    1. Brentwood

    2. Franklin

    3. Siegel

    4. Oakridge

    5. Houston

    6. Soddy Daisy

    7. Collierville

    8. Dobyns Bennett

If Siegel and Franklin are matched up again this year, Franklin may get by them but Siegel has started to play very good soccer in the last few weeks. Shelton has done a good job of getting them to peak at the right time. Of course its all a mute point if they get beat by Cleveland on Saturday. Good luck to all. :roflol:

  2. I DO!!!! :thumb:

    I don't do AAA......

    1. Bearden

    2. Collierville

    3 .Brentwood

    4. Dobyns Bennett

    5. Farragut

    6. Franklin

    7. Houston

    8. ORHS

Is this combination possible with the way the regions play? Wouldn't Riverdale, Siegel, Cleveland or Columbia have to be in the mix.

  3. columbia beating tullahoma doesn't surprise me in the least because i called it

Hey mjuhb do you think tullahoma will ever be able to compete like the have in the past. I'm not trying to be mean or rude, just with the larger schools in rutherford county can their talent pool keep up.

  4. Monday, October 19

Match 1 Lavergne at RHS kick 3:30

Match 2 Smyrna at Blackman kick 7:00

    Tuesday at Richard Siegel Park

    Siegel vs. winner match 2 - 6:00

    Oakland vs. winner match 1 - 8:00

    Thursday at Richard Siegel Park

    Finals - 7:00

Thanks, Good luck tomorrow. At least the weather may cooperate this week.

  5. Game shortened to 60 minutes due to lightening in the area. Remaining Hendersonville tournament games for Sunday were cancelled. Tough game for Franklin after a huge win against siegel on Saturday night.

There may have been a little payback in the minds of Franklin for the last 3 years against Siegel.

I don't want to be nit picky but Siegel is spelled S-I-E-G-E-L....You know i before e except after c..

Hey lets set the records straight. The misspelling was from the quote I was responding to. :thumb:

Believe me the spelling of Siegel has been butchered worse than that. Canesoverhere likes to spell it Seagul....right Cane.

  7. BGA 5

    Riverdale 2

Hopefully a tough scrimmage schedule and non-district schedule will benefit the Warriors come district time. Couple of holes to fill with some youngsters who just need playing time.

Who's the goalie at Riverdale this year?

  8. Two more to add:

Tayler Shelby, Baylor School, ERSA Express 91, UTC

Taylor Davidson, Baylor School, formerly with ERSA Express 91, UTC

    UTC also picked up two more on top of that;

Sydney Dewberry, GK - Siegel High School, UTC

Morgan Murray, Forward/Mid - Centennial High School, TNFC, SRFC Strikers, UTC

  9. I think coniglio is saying these are not predictions of how things will finish, just where everyone should start considering last season and the changes since then with graduation/losses and new additions.

Maybe we need to let the new folks know that every year for the past 5 or 6 years MJUHB has released a girls soccer ranking list for each division on this forum. It's based upon his personal knowledge and research and he's pretty darn good at it too!!!

It has given many of us fodder to chew on during the season and its been fun to see the banter back and forth.

Although I will say to try to keep your criticism constructive and state your reasons you may disagree or agree in a respectful way. Because many of us really like to see MJUHB rankings and if you offend him too much.......well its up to him to post them or not.

The alternative is the Eurosportscoreboard.com rankings and we all know how goofy those can be during the season.

  10. MJUHB:

You're at it early! This should be good fodder for some comments.

I do not know enough about the teams yet this year to comment, but I look forward to reading comments from those who do know something.

Hey Hey MJUHB good to see you back! Very good start with the list. I think you right with your aaa #1 Brentwood being the early favorite. They only lost a couple of seniors but they were good ones. Much of the Brentwood HS team is made up of the Brentwood u16 club team that is very good.

Siegel will have a good core of players but did lose 5 starting seniors that will be hard to replace. I still expect to see them in state contention. Riverdale will be interesting this year. They have a much more challenging schedule which should make them better by the end of the season.

7aaa will be more competitive this year with Smyrna in district and Oakland improving.

Looking to see many of the players in Murfreesboro this weekend for club state tournament.

  11. Sorry Brentwood fans, but Bearden and Farragut are going to be in the state finals once again. Farragut will beat Cleveland and Bearden will beat Brentwood.

Although Farragut has totally dominated Bearden this year, I expect Saturday's final between Farragut and Bearden will be a little closer. Say 3-1 Farragut.

    Sorry, I guess not.

Bearden came out strong but as the game progressed Brentwood had many more scoring opportunities. Good game.

Should be a good final on Saturday between Farragut and Brentwood.

  12. I think these are for football primarily.

From the schedule I received we no longer play Cookeville, Lebanon, White Co, and Warren County. I believe that Smyrna, LaVergne and Wilson Central along with the four Murfreesboro schools will comprise 7AAA for now.

No I dont think thats quite right. I'm pretty sure it applies to Girls Soccer too. Wilson Central and Lebanon are in District 9 with Hendersonville and Beech. Cookville, White Co. and Warren Co. join District 6 and Smyrna and La Verne join District 8 with Siegel, Blackman and Oakland.

That would fit the 09 Riverdale schedule you put up. Can anybody confirm this?

  13. Mr300bowl that challenging schedule will help Riverdale. I always thought it's what helped Siegel in the play off run over the last 4 years. Siegel may have lost some games during the season but it made them a better team at the end.

7aaa should be a more competitive district with Smyrna in the mix and Blackman and Oakland improving. Siegel has some big shoes to fill with their 5 seniors leaving but they still have lots of talent on the team.

    Good luck next season

I'll be spending my 2009 fall weekends in Chattanooga watching UTC. It will be fun to see Hayley and Becca playing together.

  14. That Ryan Zeeck kid was impressive. Very fast and physical. Siegel's defense just could not stop him when he got the ball in front of the goal.

Siegel didnt sub much at all, anyone know why some of their key players didnt play? Siegel also wasted a lot of long low percent shots on goal.

  15. I run whatever ads I can in order to pay for the site. If I have an option I don't run audio ads but if I am not given an option by the company I have to run them. Same thing with popunders. With 61,700 free members and 400 paying members that is the reality.

I understand business is business and I'm surprised at the visitors vs paid members. Think PBS - NPR....I would think that an advertiser would be thrilled with the # of overall visitors. My complaint about the audio is that it was unexpected and I often have my volume turned up so when someone starts talking without me activating it I jump out of my skin. :0 And yes I have a volume control and I will be using it.

Do get me wrong I do like CoachT and I visit more often than I would like to admit. I would ask you to talk to the IP.Board people about adding a off button.

Curious...Do you have someone selling ads locally?

  16. Whose flame just got blown out with this graduating class and whose will shine brighter in 2009?

Ok, I'll bite. But I can only address AAA but remember my 1st place score in the AAA pickem contest last season. I picked Brentwood and Siegel to be in the final early in the regular season. Now that I have finish bragging here are my thoughts for the 8 teams who will make it back to Chattanooga in 09.

From the west both Houston and Collierville. They have good programs and no competition in region and sectional to surprise them like Bearden experienced last year.

From mid tn Brentwood, Franklin, Riverdale, Siegel. Brentwood maintains a strong core of players as well as Franklin. Riverdale looses 2 or 3 starting seniors but should still make it through regionals to the sectional. Siegel graduates 5 good seniors but several underclassmen stepped up in the playoffs and I don't see anyone in the region or sectional that they couldn't beat. Soddy Daisy I'm sure will be competitive and they could knock out Siegel or Riverdale depending on who they play in sectional.

I'm less sure of my picks in the East because I haven't see them play as much but I think it will be Dobyns Bennett and Bearden. Someone may be better informed regarding the west and I'd like to hear their thoughts.

  17. I supposed you were trying to show girls from TN? If thats the point, OK. Since you are a person of UTC knowledge....

Work this one for me..........Why have they had no Seniors for years.? Don't tell me I missed the one above, you know what I mean.

    BURP!

    BURP!

    EXCUSE ME............too much Kool-Aid

h20dog and Canesoverhere I think your retirement is overdue.

  18. Although, you may have to really look for them, they prefer to sit quietly in the stands, sharing company with their father, and only on a rare occassion are they actually heard, and if so, it is yelling support for their sister...

    Right Don ? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    David...

Hey I remember the little red headed boy. A year ago or so TNFC played the Express at Brentwood Academy and this little boy for whatever reason became my best friend and attached himself to my leg.

    Would this be yours Don?? /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
