Yeah i was talking about Cwood players. They ran off the field without shaking hands after getting blown out in MP. Say what you want about my comment, that is classless! By the coach and the players. I actually have respect for WC. They are tough and have some sportsmanship.

I must say that I hate that crybaby bad sportsmen collinwood won.

I'd like to see mTp advance but the truth is they have given up to many points all season. Now that they lost their playmaker on offense they can no longer out score the opposition. They either need a new defensive coordinator or bigger player along the line that can run the scheme correctly. When O linmen are getting to your linebackers your not going to make many stops at the line of scrimmage. Hope they can put at least one more game together though. I'd like to see them win a playoff game.

Wayne Co should win by 2 td's. I do expect LC to score tho. Mp didn't only because of mishandling the ball. WC gave the tigers every opportunity to score but MP didn't want it bad enough. They don't seem to have the desire to win or to put forth the effort to win. WC is a good team but not great defensively as someone said on the first page of this thread. LC will score. I will be impressed with WC defense only when they hold LC scoreless.

Turnovers are always a concern but I believe MP is still in the + column.

 

Congratulations to the MP middle school, they won the conference championship last night over Collinwood. I think in overtime.

For some reason you want to bring the kids morality into the conversation when it's not the kids that do the recruiting. It's the adults. In this case the kid was willing to make sacrifices but it is the adults in the situation that have mislead the kid so that they could benefit from his talents. Adults on both sides of the situation are reaping the rewards and the kid is the only one that is sacrificing. That is what is wrong with this situation If everything was up front and in the open so that he would be able to weigh all the options then it would be ok but that was not the case. The kid was taken advantage of and now he is on the side lines watching instead of getting experience as he should be. And please tell me why a private school gives a kid more opportunity? If a kid does well in public school he has the same change of getting into college as he does from private school, that is grade wise or sport wise. UT had a kicker a few years back from Texas that came from a small school. He said the largest crowd he had played in front of before UT was about 3 or 400.

Talk about someone that doesn't know what they are talking about.

 

 

No one from Ensworth is going to respond mTptigers. They don't want you to know that he is ineligible and can't play varsity this year. Or maybe that is what you were talking about when you said that the kid was the only one sacrificing. I bet they didn't tell him when they were recruiting him that he wouldn't be eligible to play this year. I wish he would see the light and return to MP.

Mt. Pleasant played well enough to win against LC. I think it will take that and a little more this week. I say MP wins a hard fought game.

This may be a good pre-season group but Ensworth will have a DL in the group at the end of the year provided he plays. Antonio Richardson, 6'5" 315, So. Strong and can move.

I think that the Murph has it about right.

 

It doesn't matter who is the toughest region when it comes to going to the championship, someone from the west is going and I don't see it being someone out of region & unless it could be Fayette Academy or Trinity Academy.

 

And by the way, I believe that McKenzie did send Mount Pleasant packing it home last year, or does my memory fail me. It was a great game though and Marco Daily did convince me he was the 1A Mr. Football during that game. Where did he end up?

 

 

Yeah, McKenzie got us in a tough game. Marco went to Independence Kansas CC.

Ensworth gives a full scholorship to lineman from Mt. Pleasant. I'm sure it was because of his academic prowess and had nothing to do with the fact he is 6'5" 315lb sophomore nose guard. But privates don't recruit, we all know that. They are on a level playing field with everyone else. Of course that's only when they are in DII.

You obiviously need to keep your mouth shut until you learn to comprehend what you your own self has written. In your original post you stated that "the official can call the conditions unfit to play such as lightning". It was lightening that night. The official made that call.

He invited an individual to join him after being taunted, the individual declined so I would say that that individual is the one who didn't show good sportsmanship and accept the invitation.

 

It's no wonder why LC won. They always have at least 2 weeks the prior year to scout us out. Heck last year they had 3 weeks.

I love High School Football. Therefore, naturally, I love the magazine. It gives you an indepth look at Tennessee High School football. Reddevil Mascot and myself always pick up one as soon as it hits the stands.

If Coach Flatt is coming with the team we will welcome him to the site of his first ever loss as the head coach of B.A. Hey! I ain't hatin. That is one heck of an accomplishment that I have to brag about. Although I don't remember if the win was at home or away.

A football player on here talking trash should be a major no-no, starter or no starter. I can only hope your coaches discourage you and your players from getting on here and stirring up stuff, I know the McKenzie coaches prefer their players stay off these boards, you should do the same yourself. Having players come on here and try to stir up stuff, whether intentionally or unintentionally, reflects poorly upon the school administrators and coaches discouragement of posting on message boards.

 

Nobody from McKenzie doubts Mt. Pleasant whatsoever, especially the football team. You're wasting your time trying to explain why MtP is better than McKenzie because obviously you are just stating your opinion because you haven't given one clear bit of evidence as to why Mt. Pleasant is better than McKenzie, you're especially more biased because you're a player, a freshman at that who tend to be overconfident. Okay, you got a quarterback who can run and you've got some running backs who can run, okay thats fine and dandy, McKenzie has a quarterback who can scramble and throw. McKenzie also has multiple receivers who can catch the ball and get yards after the catch. McKenzie also has 2-3 running backs who are really good. One running back, Moore, pounds the ball and then after weakening the defense a little, they bring in speedy Johnson.

 

All in all, nobody will know who's truly better than the other until the ref blows the final whistle to call game over.

You really should let the MP side take care of this guy. No one really knows if this guy is from MP or not. People get on here and say anything to hide their real name. This person could be from McKenzie. You get on here and spout off at the mouth and you think you should tell him not to!! That's a bit hypocritical isn't it!! You said in an earlier post that you posted on here when you played, you just did it at home on your own time. Just because your attending college doesn't mean you are better than anyone else on this board and doesn't give you the right to tell someone else they don't need to post. Two years out of high school, you still have a lot to learn yourself. Who are you to highly suggest anything from anybody?

 

And by the way he did give reasons that MP is better. He named them off. He just didn't finish the list. The team will do that for him on Friday night!! You might not know their names but you will know their numbers!! I've read these posts from page one til now and 95% of these posts are about how McKenzie is going to blast MP. All I have to say is we will see. The boys will come to play. MP Work Hard! Play Harder!!

It was actually #79 and I think it's Javaris Holt (not Tavaris like I thought). He plays defensive tackle on the right side (defense's right). The broadcasters were pretty upset that he got ejected and they said themselves that it would hurt them if he is indeed out. I didn't hear his name much during the game; all I heard was Gilbreath, Richardson, Brown, Stoops, JuJu, & Bays. The coach said they used #20 Ryan English as a spy on cascades QB. I guess #2 Kyle Bays has been the starter while #20 has been out with an injury but they put #20 in because he has a little more speed than #2.

Yep, I listened to the whole thing and I even wrote down who ran the ball, where they ran the ball, and who made the tackles (as best I could).

We lived in Grainger County in East Tennessee when we resided there. I know a little about the central part of the state, but not a lot. Obviously, I'm trying to research it. It would be the area we would be coming back to. I have not heard of the Woodbury area. Which school district would that be?

 

Also, thanks for the info on Forrest. I heard they are growing. Also, nothing wrong with recruiting. I want what is the best situation for my boys with the community, church, academics and of course, athletics. A good baseball program as well as football would be huge. I'm up for any more info..........
