  1. Coach Becker

It is easy for complainers to come on a website and complain. Don't worry about it. Considering the logistics, I thought it went well. There were issues, but you can't fault the effort. I know improvements will be made to improve next year. I worked the clock all day and saw some very good wrestling and that is what matters. I will see you at CHS and give you my feedback in person instead of coming here and doing it anonymously on a forum. I have worked many tournaments including State and it is not an easy undertaking. Good job.

  2. Who ever they get will be a HUGE improvement over Eubanks!!!! I am just extremely happy for the future players at IHS to be getting a coach that knows football, and ALL the skills that go into developing players and a team!!!

Why did CoachT take the message board, IHS Coach Jason Eubanks Fired!, down. I guess Eubanks went crying to CoachT and asked them to remove it. See, he can't handle other people's opinions or advice. Another reason to let him go from IHS. Now that his "dream" of being a head coach has ended, maybe he can work at another "dream"! Hopefully something he is good at! Obviously, football coach was NOT it!

You are really pathetic. You come on here and spew your crap about Coach Eubanks knowing he has too much class to come on here and defend himself against your lies. Some of us here know who you are and your dislike of him. You disliked him so much that you sent a rival coach an email with a scouting report because you got let go. Now that is really pathetic. Go back and change your screen name again and post more BS because you don't like him. I am sure he didn't complain to coacht to get the other thread (lies) you started. Get over you dislike for him or it will eat away at you for the rest of your life.

  3. Your comment about the adminstration is interesting. Is Campbell determined to clean house until he gets his own handpicked staff? He removed Henrie as AD before canning him as BB coach and now this.

Can't speculate what Campbell will do. All I know for sure is Coach Eubanks made the decision to step down as the HC at Indy.

  4. I just got a call from a football player at IHS, that Eubanks walked into the gym and told some players that he has been fired! It is the best thing for the IHS football program! He was always in way over his head! He didn't posess ANY of the knowledge, skills, or ability that is required to be a head football coach at any high school level!

He is a nice person, but not a football coach! Maybe Scott Smith will return to IHS now that there is an administration at IHS that supports and promotes a winning football program for years to come!

Coach Eubanks was not fired, he resigned. Your source, if you have on, is incorrect. Indy's loss will be another school's gain. You obviously have a grudge against him, because he is not only a very good high school coach, but a better person. The Indy nation better hope the administration gives the new coach more support than they gave Eubanks.

  5. INDY DID NOT WIN ONE GAME AGAINST A 6-A DISTRICT OPPONENT !

    AGAINST THEIR THREE MAJOR RIVALS ( BHS, FHS, RHS ) THEY WERE 0 - 3 ! !

INDY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN REWARDED WITH THIS WILDCARD SELECTION ! ! !

In terms of talent IHS has skill players like Heckman and Standard complimented by lineman such as Farrell and Kelly. To be certain IHS has plenty of talent. The problem is coaching from the pre - season to the debacle against Ravenwood Eubanks just can't measure up when it really matters. So IHS may well win it's 1st round match-up only to be beaten again by Franklin in the 2nd round. Indy Nation you are stocked with young talent ( Prado & CO.) but as long as Eubanks is " managing " the game the rest of us in Williamson Co.can rest easy knowing the you will never realize your potential.Good Luck in West Tn. Your next beating by Franklin will begin promptly on Nov. 13 at 7 pm.

Indy and Coach Eubanks didn't come up with the criteria for making the playoffs, TSSAA did. They were 6-4 and have a better record than some of the other team that qualified. Your extreme dislike for "Eubanks" sound familiar with another fbfan that posted here in the past. Makes me wonder. Nobody has mentioned the complete revamp of the Indy offense. They started putting in the new offense in the spring and it is a very complicated offense. I think they have done pretty well with it. At least you want them to win vs Arlington this week. Thanks for the support. You and the other fbfan wouldn't happen to be related, would you?

  6. The lacking of talk on this game makes me wonder if both teams understand it's implecations. I would expect Indy to roll in this one, but I would be the last person to count Ravenwood out. They have a chip on their shoulder about this season, and literally now have nothing to lose. With a huge amount of fight they can win this game and set up their own destiny. They just need to have enough confidence that they can

    Indy 27 - Ravenwood 17

What does the lack of talk on this forum have to do with both teams understanding the implications? Hopefully the players aren't paying attention to this forum. I'm sure both teams know how important the game is. I know Indy does for sure.

Looks like another wet Friday night. Teams wouldn't know how to act playing on a dry field. Again, Indy needs to expect the unexpected against Ravenwood. Go Indy!

  7. Indy needs to expect the unexpected when playing Ravenwood. They will pull all the stops out against Indy. They will jump around on defense and blitz from all angles. The Indy OL must not let it confuse them. Indy knows that a win puts them in the playoffs as a wild card. They should take care of business Friday night and make their 2nd playoff appearance. Good luck Eagles!

  8. Hillsboro played a very good game and the QB (#11) was awesome. Indy had no answer for his speed. He reminds me of the way Vince Young was in college. He even throws the ball sidearm. He has a good strong arm.

I have to disagree. Greg Young doesn't throw sidearm, at least not to the point where it is a negative part of his game. HHS had a QB who threw sidearm in 2006-2007.

My saying he threw sidearm was not meant to be a negative. I was very impressed with him, passing and running. His throwing motion was not the typical over hand throw, but he was accurate and he can sling it. He was the best player on the field for Hillsboro without a doubt.

  9. Wow, what a disaster that almost was for the IHS football team a game that prob wouldve costed them any shot of getting into the playoffs too! But they finally played good those couple minutes in the 4th quarter with a comeback win down 11 with around 4 min left! What a game, Indy luckily survived against hillsboro.

Still think indy defense really needs some help and didnt look good at all tonight and hilisboro QB killed them.

Also whoever was doing the clock did a reallly really poor job i dont know who it was but that was ridiculous! Congrats to INDY way to pull off that close one! Heckmen stepped up in the final 2 drives when he needed to and looked good. And defense had a huge 3 and out to give them the ball back with time to win the game.

One thing I will say about Indy this year is that they keep fighting and don't give up. Hillsboro played a very good game and the QB (#11) was awesome. Indy had no answer for his speed. He reminds me of the way Vince Young was in college. He even throws the ball sidearm. He has a good strong arm. Defensively they couldn't stop Indy when it mattered. To answer the question about who runs the clock..one of the game officials on the sideline operates the clock. I will hand it to the Burros, they gave it everything they had and Indy was fortunate to pull out the victory. Time to get ready for an undefeated Columbia team this Friday.

  10. I am not saying they wouldn't get a scholarship based on what some "wanna-be" posts on a blog by any means. I am just saying rather than constantly tearing everyone down, why not give some credit where credit is due and make your criticism constructive rather than abusive. Thanks for the correction; I guess I mis-worded that part. I just think that positive writeups are good to use in ones pursuit of playing at the next level whether it be D1, D2, or where ever they decide to go. :roflol:

I do agree that too many people come on here and start ripping high school football player and it does no good at all. I think most of the time it is from people that have a personal grudge against a player or a coach because their kid isn't playing. I also think that people post things here they would never say to the person's face, because they can hide behind their scree name. I see no problem with fans getting on here and trash talking back and forth before a game. But to come on here and call out players by name and trash them is being a jerk. I personally am an Indy fan. My son graduated 2 years ago so I have no player on the team. But I won't come on here and say derogatory things about another teams players by name. It is just not the right thing to do in my opinion.

  11. Okay Wilcofootball....granted, we may not have the best of the best players and we have no superstars to focus upon like some other teams may with their D1 prospects, but the last time I checked football was a team sport. You take it upon yourself to criticize everything from the QB, the RB's, and the coaches. You even refer to some defensive players as "beanie babies"...c'mon, how old are you really? Do you find even one player to praise?!? If so, then why not focus on the positive and talk about the good they did? Help spread the word of the talent that DOES exist in order to get them some publicity and a possible scholarship. Or is that TOO difficult for you?

Sure, there are things that all of us can say that we don't agree with in regards to our coaching staff, but we were asked to address those issues directly with the coach. Would you like us to make you an appointment?!? And I STILL would like to know where you have coached and your what you bring to the blog in the way of experience? What team must we beat in order for the Rebels to be competitive in your mind?

CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is welcomed...what you do is NOT constructive at all. You merely attempt to tear the team, coaches, and individuals down. You sound like someone very bitter and in love with the dream team of season's past! We are on our way to Louisville, yes in Kentucky. Are you coming to the game?

    Fletch,

While I am not a Franklin fan, I do agree with some of what you said. Calling out a high school football player by name and tearing them down is not right. They are high school players, not college or pro players. However, if you think any player is or insn't going to get a scholarship based off of what some fan or opponents fan says here on coacht, you are mistaken. I doubt very seriously that college scouts and coaches are scouring the coacht threads to find out what players they should or should not recruit. If someone wants to critize coaches, that is different as long as it does not get too personal.

  12. congrats INDY -

lloking at the tennessean stats ( i know sometimes they are incorrect ) but it shows INDY put the ball on the field 4 times but only lost it twice, Heckman only put the ball in the air 1 time and only ran the ball 8 times is that correct?

Heckman might have ran the ball eight times but i know for a fact he threw the ball more than once, plus the Tennessean (countrys worst state newspaper), said Centennial didnt lose any fumbles.... Thats how the Eagles scored their first touchdown by Turnbull returning it for 6. Who ever they are getting the stats from Eagles games lately sucks and obvisously doesnt pay attention, screwed up last weeks MBA score, and never even got the brentwood game stats in the paper... High school journalism students could do a better job.

As for what 'ilovecfb1' said, so true. Boring, and that sign was awesome. I have never gone to Centennial's football field before.... wow. People doing the concessions were nice but the field care suxed. It looks like they practice on it during the week, so many holes and what not. Plus so many Centennial fans were walking around our student section and saying wow i wish we were like this, or i wish we were sanctioned for Indy.... Centennial's student section didnt even tailgate, i dont know if that was just because they were wimps and tought it would rain or if not wow no school pride...

Hmmm.... both Franklin and Independence played chs and won by the score of 21-0, interesting... Something to look forward to

Definitely not sticking up for the Tennessean, but I don't think they covered the game. The stats called into the paper are the responsibility of the home team if there is no reporter at the game. Since there wasn't an exclusive write-up and only a small paragraph, they pulled the info from the stats called in. Indy actually fumbled 5 times an lost 2. The ones they didn't lose were Heckman fumbled a snap but recovered and on a kick or punt return the returner dropped the ball twice and it bounced back to him both times. The game is on WC-TV again this evening at 6.

  13. After a slow start on a sloppy field Indy finally got it going after a defensive TD (85 yd fumble recovery by Keegan Turnbull) and shut out Centennial 21-0. Each team had turnovers (Indy 2, Centennial 3). I think the wet field favored Centennial because it took away the Indy passing game. Congrats to the Eagles on getting to 3-2 with their bye coming up next week. If anyone wants to watch the game it will be on WCTV (Williamson County TV) at midnight. It is on Charter 96 and Comcast 3 (I think).

  14. In a differnt thread there was a mention of d-coordinator Bennett taking a leave of absence. He was not on the side-line for the MBA game. Any updates on what is happening with this situation?

Leave of absence? I heard that he quit all together.

There are gonna be some sloppy conditions Friday. Does that help or hurt us against Centennial? :popcorneater:

Someone please elaborate on Indy's D-coordinator and the situation at hand.

Has the coach been at practice this week? I find it hard for a team to prepare if a coordinator isn't "game-planning" the players. It puts a strain on the the responsibilities of the other coaches. What do the players say?

    Good luck Indy!

Coach Bennett left the program before the MBA game. Coach Dyson is making the defense calls. They have moved on and wiil do just fine.
