  1. I believe I stated that earlier in this thread. They have struggled all year when they face teams similar in athleticism. Overton and Maplewood come to mind. Spring Hill has the athletes but I have no clue what happened to us. Page game was 28-24 going into 4th but Marshall put them away and Pages athletes were very very average. Other than that Marshall has blown everyone out during regular season. Still wishes they would beat the recruiting private school

  2. If Upperman can make it out of the region and substate, they'll have to be considered the favorite at Murfreesboro. This team plays great defense, has good size, a point guard who can handle the ball, and is getting better with every game. This team has more balance than most prior Upperman teams. Add their very good coach to the mix and that should make them the favorite.

Good coaching? I would say the coaching is and has been a liability over the last 10 years for Upperman. Without McWilliams holding them back I would say they would have at least one if not two state championships.

  3. Hey ILHSF - I didn't realize that LA and York were such rivals. Have they always been rivals or is this a 10 or 15 year period. I noticed from another post that most of the games were very close. Did this rival start in basketball and carry over to football or just always been a rival?

As far back as I know they have been rivals in everything. Football,Basketball,Baseball, girls, etc... Doesnt matter while your in high school you hate each other.

  4. Big shout to Trace and Kilgore and the rest of the O and D line played lights out. Looks like LA is hittin there stride the right time of year lets hope we can keep it up in the next few weeks. And Poteete is a player kid looked good on one leg love to watch him when he was healthy best of luck in the playoffs dekalb hope we meet again.

  5. I am not making excuses so don't say anything about that, but wow I have NEVER in my life seen officiating as terrible as tonight. Horrible. And a huge change in the game came when DC was going for a score to tie the game and the ball clearly bounces off the ground (I was 4 feet away from it against the fence) into the hands of a LA player and they call it an interception. Thats puts LA up by two touchdowns when it could've been tied up. Then a DC receiver almost gets his head ripped off by a face mask and they don't call anything at all. A DC guy barely grazes an LA player and they call it a late hit, but a few plays later a DC player is plowed after the play and no call is made at all. And I'm not sure who is over the clock management but it was horrible. One second the clock is ticking for no reason and the next it's stopped after 40 unecessary seconds are taken off the clock. Poteete is limping all over the place and even though he has all day to throw and the line is holding up he can't get leverage to throw because of his ankle and he had wide open guys but just couldn't get it there and the coach just leaves him in knowing he has a worthy back up QB which really seemed stupid to me.

Not making excuses? Won by three touchdowns guess that was a total fluke on your home field? We brought a three man rush and got to Poteete all night. And completely shut down the zone read. So before you start crying for flags go watch the film and check out our d-line gettin held all night! We still made plays though and got to the qb. And im sure the refs had to do with all the dropped passes your team had to. If you wanna watch film and complain check out your boys trying to hurt #58 when we went to victory formation classy move. Oh and i guess the refs had to do with us running right up the middle all night and rippin you. Its ok though best of luck in the playoffs.

  6. The $5 dollar parking was a little ridiculous but white county does have one of the nicest football facilities we visit as far as the field and the stands nice setting. As for the game big shout to Brannon McCoin and John Dylan Roberts especially the AP shove near the goalline for McCoin. We play to much to our competition seems we have to play a good team to get up that cant continue or were gonna get bit. Seems the little yellow things were flyin out of the pockets last night love to see those numbers probably a little lopsided but great win wildcats fun to watch but not so good for the heart keep up the winning ways HOG-EYE!

  7. I think everyone is anxious just to see how its gonna pan out more nerves than anything would prolly be the reason for the silence. With the same playbook and scheme two years in a row i see great improvement from this group.
It could be nerves or it could be that not alot of people are interested. Should be interesting with same playbook and scheme and not having the tough schedule. A true read on the program should be easy to judge by what happens in this 2009 season.

That is a crazy statement to make about Livingston and not being interested in football. Its a way of life in L-town just go to an outlaws game or jr wildcats game on there given night. People love the game and will be there on opening night to support guaranteed!
