I heard Irby was going to Transfer because Stanton wasnt going to give the kid a chance anymore... any words on this matter??.... i think oak ridge is looking good in the first half but they should you know... the second half is going to be a great test for this team because Stanton only believes in his starters and I gurantee one of them go down and we will see how his down the line guys are going to react. This man isn't a team coach he only coaching jared stephen his little cousin... because what I saw in kingsport that jared was dog tired he will wear out during the season... so only time will tell i hope they do win state but how he is coaching there going to burn out his starters 53 14 against bradley central why keep your starters in the game that needs to be change if he wants to see a state championship Go Cats!!!!!! Could anybody give me the list of players who made all region? I heard 5 players from Maryville made all-region (Humphrey, Tipton, Gaskins, Stout, Houser). Thanks!

Oak Ridge won by 12...that means a semi-final match up with maryville rebels, who barely beat the dragons by 4. should be a good game.

Nick Jackson from Oak Ridge has taken plenty of charges this year, at least 15 or 20, and more have been called blocks when they should've been charges.

it's going to be a close game, oak ridge beat farragut this summer in a team camp, but farragut beat oak ridge in a small scrimmage back in november. even though OR is 7-0 against farragut in region tournament play, that doesnt mean much, because the past 3 years, the #4 seed has beaten the #1 seed in the first round of the region, but that's all past stats....but i know oak ridge is ready, healthy, and thirsty for a possible substate appearance, first time since 99-00 season. past 2 years, OR hasnt gotten past the first round of region (lost to maryville past 2 years in first round) but we'll see tuesday night at 7:30

i think clinton will be ready, with the leadership of jerrell beamon, he'll get them ready. i dont know about the other players.....dandrus whitt, he's a big part of the team, hitting clutch shots, but being a freshman, i dont know how he'll react with the pressure. tevah.....had a terrible game against powell, probably be the same way against maryville. on the other hand, maryville's coming off a heart-breaking loss against william blount, a game i know maryville wanted to win, since WB knocked them out of the region last year, but maryville will be ready for revenge tomorrow night, i look for maryville to win by at least 12.....i dont see anyone stopping Lee, jerrell can stop his driving game, but he's too short to challenge any shots, Lee will pop shots over the top of Beamon all night.

Oh yea, forgot to add.....I dont think Sealy can stop Tevah Morris......and i KNOW that no one on Powell's team can stop Jerrell, those 2 are going to dominate.

Clinton's playing their best ball right now, and Powell's struggling a little........I say Clinton by 6.

The least you could do is host the tournament at a school taht can get past the first round..... Where should the district tournament be next year for 3AAA?

After thinking it over, i agree with u mocs, Powell has played great all year, but lately they've been in a slump, especially the guard play.....Clinton on the other hand is playing strong lately, especially Jerrell Beamon, so i change my predictions to this.....

Oak Ridge - 1st

Clinton - 2nd

Powell - 3rd

Karns - 4th

Still cant believe Campbell Co. won, but oh well, like u said, their moment of glory ends tonight with Karns.

Alcoa's gym is awesome! the perfect place to hold a district or region tournament. However, district 3AAA is being held at Halls High School.....no offense halls, but your gym is so small, i can barely fit my family in there. I'd like to see District 3AAA tournament held at Oak Ridge or Clinton or perhaps Powell.

how can heritage expect respect when they get knocked out first round of district??? make it past the first round, then we'll consider giving the mountaineers SOME respect...

Ummm i wouldn't say halston stinks....he should've started for GA tech, but the coach was an idiot. fact is he's still playing basketball in Division I, and was the all-time leading scorer at Oak Ridge. stinks??? i dont think so.

never heard of them, so i doubt they're the best in the state.

Halston left GA Tech because he didnt necessarily agree with the head coach's way of playing, and he thought he could get more playing time at UNCW. As long as he's happy, which i think he is at UNCW, then that's ok. i wish him best of luck and hope he comes back to Oak Ridge soon to visit.

Well, I just saw the **Breaking News** thread, Kyle has quit the team because of a disagreement with the coach.....Oh well, there goes Bearden's chances at region.

Kyle is still playing for Bearden, but he's not doing much. For a player who averages 15+ points per game, and only scoring 6 against Oak Ridge.....he's definitely not 100%. But yes, Kyle is still on the team.

Oak Ridge hosts Bearden on Tuesday night at Oak Ridge. It's Senior Night for the wildcats, so I know the seniors will be hungry for a win, and after coming off 2 big wins against Karns and Clinton, I know Oak Ridge will be ready. Bearden on the other hand, lost to Powell last week. I've also heard rumors of the Bulldog's star Kyle Cruze being hurt and not playing....I don't know if those rumors are true....but can I get some opinions on both teams and some predictions for the game??? Thanks..

Johnathan Dye and Travis Borum are both really good players from Clinton. Jarvis Washington from Oak Ridge is also one of the top freshmen in East Tennessee in my opinion.
