His name is Bob Rickman. he coached at memphis central last year wilson central the year before and won a state championship at ridgeway 3 years ago as an assistant coach. im not sure what his records at wilson central and memphis central were.
how do you "win" a state title as an assistant? you don't even "win" a state title as a head coach at a school with monster talent. not putting anyone down. just facts.

QUOTE(NO.1TROJAN @ Apr 11 2007 - 11:19 AM) 826434811Still no word on Rudesil as of yet? Well I can understand his staying but he might have passed up on a great opportunity and Sisco......maybe we can concentrate on him.... if all else fail..... we can always get DC's coach..... /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
ONLY KIDDING CHOCTAW FANS...... OK... JUST A JOKE....
if you people are that serious i say you advertise this job nationally and see if you can land a couple of coaches better than these guys. just a hint.

QUOTE(StevieRayVol @ Apr 4 2007 - 04:56 PM) 826430049Rudisell was at Dyersburg this week. He coaches at Bolivar Central where he has won a few state titles. I understand he is coaching girls basketball too and even had them in the region if I'm not mistaken. I hear he is the frontrunner for the Dyersburg job.......
i heard of this rudesil guy because of kemp and chism but who is this sisco guy? are they both regional legends or something? name guys are usually known statewide? by the way since you know alot who is in the running for jackson ns?

QUOTE(t-mac @ Mar 30 2007 - 12:03 PM) 826426618I remember Long, Dickerson, and Snowbird from middle school. Goodlow was the best player on that team but he dropped out. I remember when they played Alton Park for the championship and lost. In fact they lost to AP 3 times that year unfortunately no one from that alton park team played for bowles that next year and McCallie came to bowles the next year and became a 4 year starter at point guard. Thats probably why Tyner went 14-2
those were all young players in coach thompson program.those kids could play and were fundamentally sound. they could run the secondry break like nc and you know dillard didnt teach em that. that bunch would have won the state if thompson didn't leave because he had issues with dillard still being at the school and carrying grudges against the program.

QUOTE(icecold06 @ Mar 29 2007 - 06:40 AM) 826425558No Leroy never took City to the state I guess you are right it is more appealing to caoch at Tyner than it is 21st century, I dont know who else is being looked at for the job so cant say where to rank Leroy among the candidates I was just sayign he wouldnt be the 1st name to come to mind are there any young up and coming coaches in the Chattanooga area, I can only think of one but I am sure he is not going to try to go coach at Tyner
can anyone tell me why leroy no longer coaches at howard? i agree with another poster that higgins in no fit for the academy.

QUOTE(offtackle @ Mar 14 2007 - 07:38 AM) 826411225I have the most reliable source and the source says with 9 juniors coming back and a probable #1 ranking to begin the season Crowder will be back. However, after next year movement could be a possibility but not in Tennessee. The move will be south and primarily on the beach.
crowder has some talent and was left talent. hasn't done much with them. maybe he should think about the beach now and let another coach lead antioch to the state.
-
forget about coach dillard he is done. coach thompson would be a good choice and since dillard ain't at the school he would come back now. how about eddie salter who was at ccs? i even heard kevin tempelton who was a temple might want back in the hs game.

was it fatigue? if they get into their pressing game earlier the championship heads north to the gateway city. now maryville is no sloutch but lets be honest i don't think they handke the clarksville pressure.

Dillard will have a big game cuz nobody can stop him even in the region. Randolph and Scudder both will have a play day tonight on friendships guards. G ville is bettter coached.
ok you answered that question. now who is the coach at gville and does he know any basketball?
-
neither one makes it out of the region. who is this guy who coaches at friendship? does he know the game?

QUOTE(Z King of D Swing @ Feb 20 2007 - 11:44 AM) 826381014Yes it is, I'm almost positive the house will be packed. This is gonna be a fun game for teams to play in.
You are right. I see it going 3-1 possibly in favor of 7AA, since Station Camp lost Jenkins for the year. If not 3-1, definitly a split.
i did not think carthage was much on basketball. thought they only followed football well?

i agree....wasn't this guy in his late 40's? sad thing is there are thousands of stories like this that never came public. we have all had these types of "predator" coaches at our schools haven't we? what about the 24 or 25 year old teachers who date 17 year old seniors..isn't this a form of perversion as well?

don't forget that the wife also works for the school system!
oh yeah i forgot about that ........and they have the nerve to say they are not political...hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which is exactly why Weitzel had 20 against Tullahoma, their tallest guy is about 6'4 or 6'5 and after that is Cass at 6'2 or 6'3 and i don't think he's going to guard Weitzel if the other guy gets in foul trouble..But when you put Weitzel against Robbie (a guy his height but MUCH bigger) he gets 8 points off of free throws and he fouls out.
this whole thread is hilarious especially with the school board member and his wife getting on here arguing with another parent over playing time of their son. sad state of affairs in coffee county but we are all having fun reading about it.

I can also remember them coming in 6th place with four starters back, including one that signed with Tech. I also remember the next year after that they were the 2nd seed and lost AT HOME in the 1st round of the district to a bad Mount Juliet team. Selective memory on your part.
Oh yeah, that was in 2001-02 and 2002-03.
did most of this "underachievement" occur during the barry wortman regime?

players must play as a team and be focused. that is their responsibility. it is the responsiblility of any coach to make them see this...even if they have to kick tail to do it. wake up and see this.
