  1. A little more research shows that Gibbs has had some lopsided games other than the one against Carter, and honestly the 25 point loss wasn't the worst one.

    12/8 Gibbs 50 - Fulton 87 (-37)

    12/29 Gibbs 83 - Berean 60 (+23)

    2/2 Gibbs 59 - GP 83 (-24)

    2/4 Gibbs 80 - Carter 105 (-25)

I think they are upset not at the fact they lost by 25 it's that they lost by 25 and gave up 105.

Gibbs is averaging 72 points per game and giving up...73....

  2. WHOA!!!!!!!!

The lead was 18 points with 2 minutes to go the lead NEVER made it to 30...Secondly Gibbs was still pressing and jacking up threes which lead to easy Baskets...We've all seen the MIRACULOUS WONDERFUL OUTSTANDING RICK ANDERSON run the scores up as a Boys coach and Girls coach. I've seen teams like Gibbs sub their JV team and try to get the other team to sub their JV team slip their starters back in to steal the win.

Just so you know Carter played at Pigeon Forge Friday almost same exact situation...Carter was up 17 with 4 minutes to go Pigeon Forge got hot and under a minute to go they cut the lead all the way down to 2!

This thread is just the same ole typical Cry-Baby Gibbs banter. :roflolk:

  3. Coach Bill Grandstaff is retiring! Help us celebrate the 35 years of service and dedication Coach Grandstaff has given to the Carter High School Community, School and Athletic teams! The reception will be Thursday May 21st from 4 until 6 at the Carter High School Cafeteria! Please show coach your support!

Thank You Coach Grandstaff you've been a role model to us all!

  4. I can understand disqualifying the offenders in the case for the playoffs, but why punish the rest of the team who was innocent? From what I can tell 5 players actions have cost their team a chance at postseason play. Kick the 5 players off the teams and let the rest of the team play it out. If the TSSAA plans on setting a precedent with this ruling then they should ban ALL teams in ALL sports that have an incident of fighting during an athletic contest.

Just my Opinion sorry to interrupt! haha

  5. Coach Darden Coached at Carter throughout the 90's and early 2000's. He is a great man, a great coach and a person you can depend on. Coach may not be the best coach in the world, but I wouldn't trade him for the world. I was sad when he retired from public school to move to CAK, but it was a move that was beneifical to himself and his family! I will alway support Coach Darden no matter where he coaches or where ever this world takes him!

    Coach Darden will be missed

  7. Carter loses big guy Meady #54, Wing Player #3 Branch, Guard #12 Hundley, Guard #11 Stanton and Forward #32 Hayes.

    Wilson ain't going anywhere

While we lose 5 players we also have

Wilson, Ballenger, Bennett, and Lewis who had a lot of valuable playing experience that should lead to another good season next year
