  1. Ugliest football game I’ve seen in person. Lexington had 200 yards in penalties. Both teams had multiple turnovers. Officiating crew was a detriment to the game. Multiple stoppages of play to reset the ball or discussions among themselves. Both teams have a lot of work to do and will have long seasons ahead of them if they don’t improve.

Any truth to some ejections to some key PC players this past Friday? Or is this something my son and his friends heard that is completely false.

#7 for PC was ejected for getting two unsportsmanlike penalties  (he lost a TD on the second as he turned to wave and blow a kiss to the defense on the 15 yard line).  #24 for LHS was ejected for targeting.  Losing #7 didn't slow them down very much.  I think they scored 28 after losing him.  #44 for PC got an early unsportsmanlike and it looked like the coach pulled him later to keep him from getting a second unsportsmanlike.  After the game, PC had some fans harassing the officials as they were trying to leave over the ejections of the PC player.

  3. From what I’ve read in here and seen with Lexington in person, it looks like this will be a run heavy game. Admittedly, Lexington runs the ball well and primarily but to those people saying that all you have to do is stop the run to win. Yep, that’s all you have to do. Same way when Peyton Manning was in his prime, all you had to do was stop the pass.   Scheming is sometimes easier than executing.
An interesting stat to consider for Lexington’s pass defense: I think Rivers Hunt threw 5 INT this year, 4 of them were by Lexington.
Lexington has a big experienced OL and a QB. They run a read/option offense that requires discipline to stop. It’s not a traditional option but the second you overcommit the other back will spring the ball.
I give Lexington the edge in kicking as well. If things stay true to form all kickoffs are touchbacks. That is a huge weapon to force the other team to start at the 20 and not have to risk a return.
