PT, you would probably have to fight to get Eual's seat. He was kinda rude to the Cherokee radio people when they were there earlier in the year, so if he says something mean forgive him, he is thinking of ways to get more quotes from Crumbley. LOL
Maybe PT will give up his Cocke County homerism and come to Greeneville and take over as sports editor. I have to give him credit and say that he does a good job covering CCHS sports. He makes sure he gives the kids recognition for the hard work they put in. It is also exciting for a parent of a student-athlete to see an article about a game that she/he played in.
Are the Sun & Plain Talk still owned by the same people? If so, maybe we need to get PT's transfer papers....

Kitts had some control issues in the scrimmage at Greeneville on Tuesday. Dustin Dalton looked pretty good on the mound and at the plate. He hit a massive HR that landed over half way into the parking lot in left field. I didnt know the other pitchers that pitched for Rutledge.

QUOTE(easygoing7 @ Feb 28 2007 - 11:00 AM)
Yes Greeneville will have better team chemistry i agree, but if he can keep his nose clean they will be better.
I think the 4 seniors need to step up and be vocal leaders and create some team unity. Last years team didnt seem to have any leadership on the field, and it cost them quite a few games. The talent is there, but wins will be determined by whether or not the guys will come together and accept their role on the team.

QUOTE(frankenvol @ Mar 1 2007 - 12:35 PM) 826394936[/snapback]Despite the obvious resemblance of a college series, what advantages do IMAC teams have when they play so converence games per season? These high school teams are only allowed to play in four tournaments per year, with a maximum of 32 games. Don't you think that many of the IMAC teams hurt their postseason chances by continually playing teams who don't figure into any kind of postseason picture? For instance, wouldn't it benefit a team like West or Jeff Co. to play some other regional competition rather than add two more games with teams like Cocke Co. and Cherokee?
Whether or not West, Jeff, East or G'ville wants to play Cocke Co or Cherokee, they have to because they are in their conference, and play each other 3 times. That is why when you decide which tourneys you are going to play in, you pick the ones with the best reputation of having good competition. I know G'ville goes to Charleston, SC every other year and plays in a tourney there, and two years ago they played Dematha who was ranked nationally at that time.

I liked the article by TriCitiesSports.com much better than the one by the Sun. TriCitiesSports had a nice picture of the GHS coaching staff.

Whats the outlook for the IMAC in 2007?

You would think the season is over as quiet as everyone has been the past two days. Have all the rooster faithful jumped off a bridge?
I think they are plotting their revenge against Mr. Clean...

So, PT, any news on Hartsell?

Weird move by the CC coach to play a freshman (one that turned down the opportunity to play on varsity at the start of the season) who hasn't played or practiced with varsity all season instead of guys already on varsity, or jv for that matter, who know the system.
Is it time to turn over a new leaf like football and baseball did?

Mo East beat Jeff Co.

It was announced before the G'ville/Clinton game last night along with a plaque presentation.
The Greeneville Sun also talked about it in the coverage of last night's game.

Just like last night. G'ville was up 14 with a little over 1 minute to go, (with 2nd string playing), and Cherokee's 1st string was fouling everytime G'ville got the ball.

I think Cap1 must be in South Carolina, because there is no GREENVILLE in Tennessee.
If u are going to disrespect us Cap1 at least learn how to spell GreenEville correctly

Here is a link to pictures of the dunk of the night.

HOw did they hold Wiggins under 15?
Antwaine was stone cold from the field.
Plus it was the Tremaine Gash show that night. Wiggins didn't have to score.

Please tell us the whole story, All the Cloudland fans would like to know
#1landerfan'
Cloudland had a player down on the floor and Rone kicked him. I think he should be suspended for the season. What do you think?????????????????Looks to me like you already have your story....
-
He also needs some anger management counseling.
You must not know Kelvin too well... very polite young man. I have known him all his life, and my son has played sports with and against him for many years. Please be sure you know the whole story before you start degrading someone.

Doug Rines is reportedly leaving that position for personal reasons.

The Cocke county Fighting Cocks are out of Newport... and if you think thats funny you should hear opposing cheerleaders chanting "Beat those........!!! you get the idea.
I'm pretty sure they don't say "beat those %*#@$" anymore. Most schools have told their cheerleaders to say "beat those roosters".

Everyone on this forum can dog the people and players of Cosby all day long, but in the end they all know we have one of the finest, most upstanding young HC's you could ever hope to be your son's, (or even daughter's; for that matter) role model. No One, I repeat; NO ONE on this forom believes that Coach Shelton would ever stoop to playing an ineligible player to win. (Not even the IDIOT who started this crap!)
I am sure with all the hostility between Cosby & Cocke County, one of the first things that the coaches at Cosby would be sure of is to get the right paper work turned in to TSSAA on any transfers, ESPECIALLY when they transfer from CCHS to Cosby. With all the rifraf CCHS has been giving Cosby lately from losing players, I wouldn't be surprised if TSSAA is keeping an eye on the situation. The main thing is that Coach Shelton has that all important paper from TSSAA stating that the player is eligible.
There are so many interpretations of the rules and bylaws, and unless you're from TSSAA, then your story, opinion, & so called facts don't mean anything.
Good luck tonight Cosby. Sorry we won't get to travel to the west side of Greene Co to watch you play. Our baseball duties take us out of town this weekend.

Anderson Co is 3A, but technically so is Greeneville.
Anderson County must be down, or Greeneville was hiding a lot early on....I wasnt High on the Greene Devils...
The score should have been worse. Inside the 2 yard line twice and failed to score (fumble & INT), and inside the 5 yard line twice and missed FG's. The offense looked good, but I was more impressed with the D. They shut AC down.
