Davidson Academy has 250 9-12 graders. Is it fair that 250 plays against 1,250 students? Everyone knocks Davidson but they did what they did with only 250 boys and girls. That is why you have different classifications. Do you remember when MTSU played FLORIDA STATE for the first time? You try and take Davidson and beat Bishop or St George. JPII has 600, Goodpasture has 500 maybe, etc......... once again try and do it with 250 boys and girls. Davidson is blessed with good coaching and good talent. Look at the score board. DII -

imho i feel that it will be davidson and bishop again. st. george and tipton will have alot of fight DII -
Let's not forget about goodpasture's back number 38 Medley. He will be a senior. The fullback will also be a senior. Both crossed the 1000 yd mark this past season. I just wished they ran him off tackle for an entire game. Come the 4th quarter, the linebackers and saftey would be pretty bruised. DII

lol , this is not josh, just a fan that follows local sports. I follow JPII as well. I do not know about the good games or bad at goodpasture, however, i do believe that Meadley is the real deal and always has been good. With his size, power and speed that he has shown, he will be a DI prospect this coming year. I hope that his touches get up to about 20 or more per game. I would luv to see him pound off tackle all game long. Put 8 in the box and he would still average 4-5 per carry because he has such power IMO. I dont remember him playing defense in the championship game that i watched. I suppose he was too valuable to use in that role. I try to follow his stats on weekends and i dont believe i saw him carry the ball close to 20 times. I believe the linebackers would wear down sooner or later and the safety would have to start helping. Then with a quarterback like coleman? It would be all day long at that point. Goodpasture has so much depth at WR every year. It will be Meadley's SR year i think and he could make a huge difference. I am also impressed with the FB this year. Once again, a great one two punch. I believe that with all the athletes goodpasture has, they will return to the ship this coming year. But beating Huntington when GP was not picked to win was indeed the championship game. DII

The wing-t is martins favorite. Alot of people dont know that along with Patrick being gone, GP lost its 2 fastest speed backs last year. Nick as a junior quit and focused on other sports. Josh W. as a sophmore moved to Davidson Academy and help win STATE at the DII level. Josh also gained High School Player of the week in the semi finals with 32 touches for 344 yard, 2 td. Such a lose across the board for GP. Got to do more than sweep left, sweep right and fullback trap to win against a team like Alcoa.

If the stangs linebackers read the read on the guards pulling they will be fine. speed sweeps is there bread and butter. I only hope the coaches of the stangs have told the LB to watch the guards. DII

I agree. They have to look for the first blow. Everyone is changing for the playoffs. Tapes mean nothing right now. DII

In conclusion, Rosemark is putting out some pretty good mature student athletes. That is obvious. DII

Hard to beat Jeff and the coaching staff of JPII twice in one year. I like JPII in this one. DII
-
I read where Mt Juliet christian academy needs help with football next year. Their head coach resigned and is finishing out the year.

FACS seems to be playing good this year. good luck
-
No real superstar on the team that ive seen. A good group of kids that played togeather with good coaching. Just like St George, FACS and BB. Alot of equal playing fields out there. I like the way St. George is playing football here at the end of the season. BB is also having a great year. Good athletes good coaching as usual and a nice line to play behind. I have not seen FACS this year but they are doing something right. Play offs should be fun and challenging for all who make it. DII

I agree, hold'em. But you have to have sometime!!! DII
