  1. I think the question that you are asking should be who have we lost to? Nobody. What is Hampton's record? The Grace Christian Academy?€”Striving for Perfection in 2008.

no. i think that the question is " who have you played?" NOBODY!!!!! get real. your alls non conference scedule is a joke, Taft Youth Center, Kings Academy........you will be hurtin come conference time. get those hopes real high.

  2. Hampton has proven that they can make it to 3rd or 4th round and get stomped. The Grace Christian Academy??”Striving for Perfection in 2008.

Stomped? I dont remember getting stomped, except for Trousdale. It figures we go all year without much smack talk andit takes a recruiting loud mouth "Christian" school to get it started. Are you kin to zaz?

  3. Old King believes Cloudland has too many weapons for WEst Greene. The Buffaloes are good, ----just not Cloudland good. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> Whoooooo!!! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

Weapons of mass destruction...........................must of been like shooting a BB gun at those Buffalos. I hope Cloudland fans realize ya'll aint that good. Bragging about beating Avery last week was a joke, Avery is pitiful. Again, i run it through my mind, Cloudland got beat by West Greene.......and it just keeps getting funnier. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  4. Where are the Hampton fans? /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> The real fans like Vader and htown are still here, but its a funny thing to me like I predicted at the end of last year, that Kings Nemesis, FallSportsfan, and others are no longer roaming the message boards. Kinda strange because its uncharacteristic to have more longhorn fans talking trash than Hampton fans. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> As for my prediction and opinion, Hampton will make a few youthful mistakes which will cost them the game. Physically, they will stand toe to toe with Johnson Co. but the more veteran team will prevail in the end. Johnson Co. 24 Hampton 14.

Oh i am here. FallSportsFan has been seen as well. We just dont pay particular attention to you. To the Hampton players, you played a great ballgame against JC. Keep your heads up, we have lost to JC first game and had GREAT seasons. As far as the KING, dont get too excited about the BIG game with AVERY, they are pitiful this year. Hamtpon vs. Cloudland will be HUGE this year.

  5. Isnt Hampton one of the biggest schools in Carter County anyways? I really doubt that a couple of Cloudland and Unaka kids are going to make much of a difference...

There are 5 high schools in CArter Co. Imagine that pool of kids. It is real defined as to where they go to school and if they transfer, there better had been a move by the parents. It has happened, families moving to get thier kid in another school. Thats how we do it, not jsut "charging" someone 6K to come to the school. Thats were there is a difference.

  6. I don't think they should be in Division I either, but there's another forum for public and private school talk. Congratulations to Grace for making it this far in the division they're classified.

I congratulated them earlier in the thread, they have a good team. It just got off on how they got that good team, and I was just making a point.

  7. Sounds like somebody got beat by Grace on their way to practicing their baseball swing.... I can all but promise you that if a kid is going to go to a private school for sports in Knoxville, its going to be Webb, Catholic or CAK first, Grace second. I would say that these kids probably just did things a little bit better than everyone else. As far as I know, all you need to have to get better at basketball is a ball and a hoop. I could be wrong. Id guess that every school in TN playing basketball has those two things somewhere at their disposal. Grace was just one of the 8 best at doing so. Congratulations Grace on your success. As a former private school kid who got the same treatment as we beat a bunch of public schools en route to some pretty good athletic teams, just recognize that everyone that you beat that plays for a public school is going to cry foul and say you need to be in a different division. Sad thing is, most of the time at least, its the old men and the "fence walkers" just trying to re-live their glory days through an online message board. Just keep doing your thing and represent the last remaining faction of private schools left in 1A. Everyone should have known it was just a matter of time as the young kids at Grace were taking their whippings like men that eventually they would be juniors and seniors giving them out. Good luck at state Rams and I, as I am sure all the other private schools around here do to, would love to see you bring a 1A state title to Knoxville.

As I could be seen as one of the "fence-walkers", it stil doesn't chang ethe fact that private schools recruit. Yes I said it, RECRUIT!!!! I would honestly be very suprised if they didn't rise to stardom as quickly as they did. What is siuprising is that Ram fans think its it just amazing how fast they did rise. Give me a school with the freedom to recruit, and I could build a pretty darn good team. My gripe is not with Grace at all, it is with the stupes at T$$AA that can't see what is happening. All privates should be Division II, no matter the size and then give them classes. There seem to be enough anymore to be able to do that.

  8. Once again Hamptons run to the state is cut short by a private. Its funny that Grace thinks its amazing that they have this team in just 4 years, when everyone knows how they got em. They are a good team, but they should be in a different league than publics. That is and has always been my opinion. Good luck to the Rams. If we had to get beatm you wnat to be beat by the best. By the way, it was also a great setting for basketball, awesome atmosphere.

  9. I sort of agree with you and I sort of disagree with you. For some reason people think that Cloudland cannot push the ball and run with Hampton. Well, they just beat the 2 best run-n-gun teams in the area (Unicoi, University High) and beat both of them by running. University High played man up on Cloudland the whole night and got beat by 11. And, it is only my opinion and I may be wrong, but I think UH plays a much better man-to-man defense than we do. In the consolation game against Unaka, the Dawgs came out and ran a 1-3-1 without trapping and forced a ton of turnovers. Then in the second half, Hampton went to a man defense. The Rangers then scored on 4 straight possessions which forced White to go back to a 1-3-1. If Unaka did that to Hampton's man defense, I would hate to see what Ned would do to it. In the district meeting with Cloudland, Hampton came out in the 1-3-1 with no trapping and jumped out to an 8 point lead. Then they went a 2-3 and Jordan Hughes made two 3-pointers and that changed the game. I do not think it was the defense at all that lost Hampton the district game though. It was stupid turnovers and not being able to move the ball effectively against Cloudland's 2-3. I will gaurantee that if Hampton holds Cloudland to 41 points tomorrow like they did in the district, the Dawgs will prevail. Having said all that I agree with you that Hampton's best chance to win might be to speed the game up but just speeding the game up is no gaurantee to win. It just irritates me that some people (not you nemesis) think that if Hampton comes out and plays a man defense and speeds the game up they will automatically win. So, if they lose, they will blame the loss on White for not running a man. People like that are not facing the facts about the Landers. Cloudland has proven that they can run with anybody. If Hampton does come out in a man there is absolutely no gaurantee that they will beat Cloudland. I wonder what people would say about White if he did run a man-to-man and Hampton still got beat?

I want and I hope that everyone understands that I feel Cloudland is definitely the team to beat. Their record at C-D is good, very good. Hampton has to play flawless ball to have a chance. I feel that they have the better chance if they go man-to-man full court and runas often as they can. 1-3-1 leaves the deep ball unprotected from the corner and thats where they hit some against us in the district. They were back breakers. I just like our chances better with man-to-man.

  10. With the talent this team has, Hampton, it is a shame that they haven't made a trip or two down the road, further than Chuckey-Doak. Coaching issues in the past, sure they have played a part. Coaching issues in the now, yeah they play a part as well. Hampton is not a 2-3 zone defense team. They play alot better when we man up and run the floor on offense. If they try to play Cloudland like they have lately, it wont be too close. Hgihlanders will roll. If Hampton will come out man-to-man, running, look out. Its a shame, I hate for the seniors. Yes, the two freshman are good, but I think too many are looking to the next 2-3 years, maybe even the coaches. This senior group was suppose to be the best up there for sometime, all the coaching issues have killed them though. The coaches now should be doing all they can to get them further than they have been. Go Dogs!!!! and if not...........Go Ned!!!!

  11. News Flash football is over and at the end of the day Hampton didnt win anything either

uh, conference, region, final 4 in state, that all says enough. Ram fans are the ones having trouble with it.

  12. yeah 05 was a good year.... but i think this year we have the best chance of getting 2 teams to sub state or state... Johnson county,Chuckey doak,Erwin.. all have a great shot... cause honestly i dont see another team in the area that can beat a watauga team... Rutledge i thought was the top dog lost to south greene... GP is ok.. PF is always good to.. but this is prob the best year to enter state in the Watauga!!

Hope you are talking not another 2A team because Johnson County and Erwin have both fallen to 1A Hampton.

  13. it was a shame that we play that good a game and have it come to down to big time mistakes at the end. Once again, our freshman picked it up and showed the good things that are coming. Grace has a great team, move the ball exceptionally well, fast. I hear they are somewhat young as well. Look forward to meeting them again.

  14. Hampton absolutely dominated Harriman tonight. The Dawgs had a 20 point lead at the half, led by as many as 29, and ended up beating the Blue Devils by 23. Everyone shot lights out and they forced untelling how many turnovers. James had around 20 points, Bentely had 10 or more, Milhorn had around 8, the two freshmen Hughes and Ward both had 5-10 points, a number of other players also scored a fair amount but the standout player on the night (outside of James) had to be Dustin Roberson off the bench. He had to have at least 15. The Big Dawg has this team playing great. I can't wait till they square off with Grace Christian tomorrow. It should be a great game...

What time is the game tonight against Grace?

  15. Well I was gone for a second and some sore person on here talking trash like all year. Read, I repeat Read my post carefully, it says just about evey game there genius, was I talking about yall, I dont think so!

I missed getting you going sportman.......thought that that might do it. I am just aggravating. Good luck to SP tomorrow, should be an exciting time. Lucky me gets to go watch basketball tonight, not the same feeling as last Thursday. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

    BTW.....I didn't talk any trash, just defended my school. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  16. Folks I'm outta here. Good traveling Grace to both sides and may it be an injury free game. Check on my other predictions during the year and I was just about on the bullseye every game. SP-34 MAC-21!

Hampton all the respect in the world to you but this will be like Wiley E Coyote trying to catch the Roadrunner just not going to happen. I believe we faced our biggest threat last week. I have coached different sports in my life and one thing you cant coach and that is speed, you either have it or you don't. Copper Basin is always a huge team up front we play every year outweighing us by about 50lbs. per man but they just dont get the job done just like i"m predicting this Friday against Hampton. I have a friend that lives in your area and has watched a few of your games. He has seen SP also and he thinks you are in some serious trouble! SP 45 Hampton 14!

    yeah you nailed this prediction!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  17. Its kind of funny to see that most SP people have been a coach t member for years and the last couple of opponents, well most people like to jump on a bandwagon and talk even if they dont know

the first thing about football or have played it!

You dont recognize them because you haven't played this far into the playoffs in a while...

  18. It's coachT protocol to come back for one day after a game and face the music, eat crow, suffer humilitation. Whatever the case. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> It's all in fun..., for most people. I've had mine twice this year.

I dont care to face the music and I did. SP has a very explosive offense and Mckenzie could be in for a very long night.(afternoon) Although the same was said last year and Friendship went down to the boro and fell on their face. Not know ing anything about the West, I wouldn't make any predictions, I'll let SP keep making the ridiculous predictions. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
