  1. Real Tiger fans are smart enough not to tell the fans of opponents which team members are injured, sick, playing, or not playing. You are helping TC with their game plan when you post things like that Croz and Bluebell.  You better believe that Coach Creasy reads this message board. I realize you want to sound like you are in the know, but you are actually hurting our team . Our players ( that includes my son) and their coaches work too hard with the game plan for you two to screw things up with a few chosen words.

Your support is appreciated but remember that these are just kids and spouting off about them not being leaders or their lack of heart or effort is hurtful to them and their families.

I know who you both are and I know Croz when the time comes for your kids to be Tigers, you would be fit to be tied if someone posted some of the same stuff about your boys on here. Bluebell I think of you in the highest regards and it sickened me to read what you said. You have constantly been in the Tiger's corner.

     Think about it.

BTW, before you jump on me, mine is not one of the players you have talked about on here. I just felt like I needed to speak my peace.

the worst thing about these message boards is that a person is able to rip someone for their opinion and maintain their anonymity by using a pseudonym.  If you want to criticize someone then have courtesy of using your real name so that the person you addressing knows who they are speaking with.  Croz gave you that courtesy.

  2. I highly doubt he's going anywhere.

Most of the guys mentioned on here are going nowhere. I think he's done an incredible job at DC considering where the program was when he took it over and where he's got it to. If I were looking for a coach he'd have to tell me he wasn't interested.
  3. someone that speaks "Coalfield" please translate this for me.

We are hoping that Gordonsville enters the game next week in the same manner that Greenback approached our game on Friday night. I feel that Greenback's seniors did not play to a level that would normally be expected from senior players. Anyone that may still be underestimating Coalfield's football team should probably reevaluate their thinking regarding said football team. We will be ready to perform at our highest level for the entire game Friday night.

    I think thats close.

  4. I'm not very familiar with the west quads, but I've said all along that the three best teams could be Gordonsville, SP, and Greenback. I don't know who will meet who but I do believe that Gordonsville needs to worry about South Pitt right now and nothing else.

  5. Didn't pull anything out of the air. Just going by what I saw from last years eagleville team and this years MC team. You stated that MC was better than some of those. Who are you talking about? Who did you see play that you can compare MC to? Is MC better than Trousdale? No. Westmoreland? No. Watertown? That would probably be a good game.

  6. MC would finish no better than 4th or 5th in region 4 with at least 3 or 4 losses. After seeing them Friday night, I'm not sure they are better than Eagleville was last year. Whoever wins in week 2 at Gordonsville will not be tested again until the semifinals. Greenback will give somebody a ballgame in week 4.

  7. Yes, HUGE endowment. Can't spend it all. That explains why the bathroom (outhouse) is so plush. We are tired of your baseless accusations. We have to learn to recruit? You're kidding. You said we were the "all star team of Wilson county". Wouldn't that mean we have been doing it all along? Ooops, guess you forgot that. Good riddance is right!!! We will not miss your baseless, whining accusations. If you REALLY read the article you would see that the DECISION was made with much prayer. That's the way God fearing people make decisions. We made the move to compete against schools more closely aligned with our mission. When you are accused of sinning because you tailgate on the road, you know you are fighting a losing battle. The competition level has been great. But the ugly, false mess you guys put out is pathetic.

    BS!

  8. nothing wrong with riding on a fancy bus. wish we had one. I think you also find out exactly who is the better team when you play each other only one time each year. If both teams win out one will be region champions and the other won't. If they played again in the playoffs, you might win and be able to say you were the better team. But if my aunt were a man she would be my uncle.

  9. Then Gordonsville has a decision to make. They need to cancel Smith County and Westmoreland and go pick up Pearl Cohn and Christ Presbyterian so they can better prepare themselves for the playoffs with that cupcake district schedule of Pickett County, Watertown, Red Boiling Springs, Monterey, etc. LMAO, I wasn't expecting anyone from Gordonsville to start taking shots at Smith County for their scheduling.

Like SC, Gordonsville has no control over their region schedule. However, I would say that SC and Westmoreland as non-region competition rates better than White Co and Warren Co. I wouldn't be L'ng my A off if I were you, Gordonsville playing TC and FC in their Region schedule every year prepares them quite well for the playoffs. And I wasn't taking shots at SC, just answering your questions.

  10. This is the last thing I am going to post on this thread as PC won the game and they deserved to. But, it absolutely has zero to do with the schedule and all you trolls on here like slimshady and friends are doing nothing but trying to draw attention to yourselves. Congratulations, you confirmed my opinion, your an idiot.

Smith County is a 3A school with a little over 600 people. #1. Why do they want to schedule inner city Nashville schools? #2. Why would they not want to play the rural schools like themselves like they have always done? #3. Why is the strength of schedule such a hot topic this year? #4. Is it because they went 10-0 this year and haven't done that in over 20 years? #5. If they had lost two games and wasn't ranked number 1 in the state but rather 5-7 like they are about every year, would that make this discussion have a little less juice? Why? #6. Why do they drop Macon County, and schedule Pearl Cohn? I mean did you see their crowd? They had 100 fans if that. The band didn't pay to get in, remember that. Is York down, yes, wasn't it year before last they advanced to 4th round? Did Livingston not win a state championship 5 years ago? Gordonsville has, White House has. Since when is this year all of a sudden the year that all of those teams are bad schedules. I mean really, #7. do they have to play Trousdale County (not gonna happen) or better yet go call these ABC private schools who recruit rather than playing the schools in a 1 hour radius that is going to bring 3 times the crowd. Or #8. do they have to do a home and home with state champion Knox Catholic 2 and half hours away again? Seriously, this is ridiculous. They have traveled to Nashville or further, ask howdoitknow2. This topic of discussion is comical. Slimshady, can't wait to see you again. I got something for you.

    ANSWERS

    1. To play better competition.

    2. See #1.

    3. Because SC went 10-0 in the regular season and lost in the first round of the playoffs.

    4. Yes

    5. a. If they had lost 2 games they would be 8-2.

    b. They haven't been 5-7 in several years.

    c. Yes it would have a little less juice.

    6. I don't recall reading about dropping Macon Co. but rather replacing teams like White Co. or Warren County on the schedule.

    7. Most of the "ABC" schools are within an hour-hour and a half radius. They probably wouldnt' bring much less of a crowd than White Co, Warren Co, or Upperman brings.

    8. If that's waht it takes to play the teams you need to play to get better, then yes.

One last thing. In my opinion the difference in the game last night was the PC defense in the second half. they physically dominated and intimidated the SC O-line. As the second half progressed they grew more confident and as a result the SC offense could not really get going. the interception in the end zone was a killer and the first fumble was just gas on the fire for the PC defense.

  11. So in high school, a hold by the punt receiving team after the kick results in a first down for the punt team? There was also a late hit called on that play that was made before the whistle. SC had a receiver come wide open early in the game but a yellow flag came out at about the same time.

I asked the same question last night. The only explanation I could come up with was that the hold on the the Gunner occured before the ball was actually kicked which means he was still a receiver at that point. That's the only explanation I could come up with. I thought it should have still been SC ball.

The other officiating question I had was on the personal foul in OT. The flag came on first down but after the ball was set after the penalty marked off it was second down. It eventually didn't make any difference because G-ville scored on fourth down, but I thought it still should have been first down after the penalty.

  12. Have all year. 4 shutouts. One game allowing 7, one game allowing 8 (real late too). I think the defense will be able to challenge Gordonsville.

The teams you are bragging about shutting down are a combined 17 wins and 44 losses. None had a winning record. Only two made the playoffs, one as a #5, one as a #6.

  13. To balance the "powers" the "best" grouping would be to move Perry Co. to Quad 4 and split the "middle" up North and South. You'd then have Quad 1 the same, Quad 4 the same as above with Perry Co., Quad 3 would have JB, NCS, Gordonsville, Clarksville Academy, MTCS & Eagleville; Quad 2 would have SP, Wayne Co., Collinwood, Cornersville, Moore Co., Columbia Academy.

That's the way I had it figured.
