  1. I guess those 40 players AE has is pure heart and soul. Are you telling me that Scott Co. has not had players with heart and soul for over 22 years. I think that last time Scott Co. was over 500 Scott Brummitt was playing. If I am wrong on that please correct me. I am only on this issue due to the remarks made by Running Riot ( a known Scott Co. Follower). He made the remark that if Scott Co. were in Region 1-3A then they would be a the top. Don't forget that when Fulton was a smaller roster they were still beating Scott Co. I don't think all that was heart and soul. I do see your point about playing with heart, but you must have tallent. The mention of Rudy was not a good one. He played 3 plays. It was a great story, but he was not a great player. I went to camp with Emmit Smith and he ran a 4.6 pro timing. He was being recruited out of Escambia High School in Pensecola Florida. Where Auburn made a huge run for him, but lost to Florida. You mention players with great tallent. Charles Barkley had a 42" verticle. Sure he was just 6'4", but weighed about 270. He was able to push many around. Dick Butkus was still strong and big. He also played with a passion. But he still had size, strength. Two of the points I made earlier. Once again, you need to have speed, size, strength, ability, and coaching.

1st thing Emmit smith did it with heart and tallent but mostly heart, The point of rudy is not how much he got to plays it bout hope and believing., Charles barkley was told all his life he couldent make it and he belived and played with heart and passion push many around shaq is 7'1 300 and change and he never pushed barkley around. Dick Butkus had no speed and of course he was strong u have to be if u wanna play in the NFL. thats all im saying

  2. I'm sorry it was Oliver Springs, but not any better. I am sorry that your coaches don't get more kids out to play. Seymour has kids everywhere too. Carter has the biggest school zone in Knox County. Gibbs has kids going to a middle school 7 miles away. Claiborne Co. kids have it just as bad as Scott Co. Some AE kids walk home through gun riddled neighborhoods. Don't give your kids a crutch because thay don't want to find rides like many others are having to do at many others schools as well as Scott Co. I onced coached at a place where the kid lived 12 miles away, and it was some hard back roads. His parents were at home having pizza and watching TV, and refused to come get him. I took him home. The kid was embarrased, but wanted to play. The kids have to have a reason to want to play. That kid would have given his right arm for me. Coaches have to make the sacrifice themselves. Although it is against policy to take kids home in their own cars coaches do it every night.

Yes but like he said earlier they play in region 1 not region 2 it is very nessceasary to play against them teams.

  3. Gregory you were one of the worst lineman i have ever seen play the sport .there aint anyone who wants to here that crap, espcially from someone who doesnt have any room to talk!what did you do worth a flip when you played?oneida will be back dont worry about that!

Well Big Idiot i mean indian He got All district, All East TN, And a full ride to campbellsville. :thumb:

  4. I think that Oneida has some good 7th graders..Isaac Manis, Cole Stephens, Skylar Chambers, Andrew McCartt, and Austin Laxton. They will be hard to beat when they play together as a team. Im not saying that they will be the best but they will be a good team. Laxton is a good defensive player and can handle the ball real good. McCartt can shoot and is also pretty good on the defensive side of the court. Stephens can drive the ball and shoot from anywhere on the court Manis can shoot outside real good and plays tight d and Chambers can do almost anything he wants to do with the ball. He can dribble, shoot, and he plays great d.

  5. I think Oneida played bad and the reason they played bad in the district championship is because their players all are selfish. They get out in the open and dont like to pass to eachother if they can take a shot. I seen several times that their players were out on a fast break and made horrible mistakes like not passing or passing to late .......and they also didnt catch the ball good towards the end. That is why i think Huntsville won the game i think if they play again Oneida will take it, but thats just my opinion. Huntsville is a very good team and if they come out shooting good they can end a game fast, but i just think Oneida made so many mistakes in the open court that they lost. Next game they may or may not but if they dont make as many mistakes as they did they would've won. In the finals i think Oneida and Harriman will play and i think Harriman will win. Ive not seen them play, but ive heard they are pretty good.

  6. What does Harriman have? Are they a fast break team or a half court team? Do they have good guards or good post? Will they make it to the championship?

I hope Huntsville and Oneida make it to the championship not only cause they are from Scott County, and no other team from Scott has ever won it. I want to see these 2 teams play again.

  7. That location for the tournament is wrong cause they say it is in the middle yea right knoxville is in the middle how bout the ppl coming from scott and morgan like 1:45 min drive

It is also giving catons chapel bball team a home court advantage cause I know from experiecne i played against them 2 years ago on the HMS bears got screwed by the refs cause we was playing them at there home court. Went in at half winning by 21 lost by 1 in OT cause a 3 seconds call with 12 seconds left. Im pulling for Huntsville Harriman or oneida to win this.

I dont know about all of the games when u was in middle school but it is a long drive from scott and morgan.

    Knoxville is in the middle..

  8. I think in the state championship oneida might just meat huntsville. And I believe that oneida will get there pay back on huntsville and I think oneida will come out on top by 10 points

    oms5

i have not been on my name somebody else has. sorry for all the post from 6:00 to 8:00.

  9. When Holden Sexton from Oneida is wantin to play basketball he cant be stopped by most other players. He can play guard and post. I also think Mark Miller from Oneida is a good player. He can shoot from 3, and also from 15 feet out. He is a good post. He can rebound and shoot. He runs the floor and plays good defense. He is one of my favorites to watch.

Bradley Brooks from Huntsville is also a great player. He can shoot all over the court. He is also a very good defender.

  10. I think that Harriman has a good chance of beating Huntsville.Because if you stop John Carrol from driving then you will most likely win.But you cant leave Jake Sexton and Dylan Jeffers wide open because they will stroke it.Without Dylan Jeffers huntsville would have lost by alot to Oneida in the district championship. He has really come to play at tournament time.

  11. plus all of oneida's players are 15 and 16 in the 7th and 8th grade some of them got a full grown goatee

There are no 15 or 16 year olds on Oneida's team. HMS10!!! you are just mad cause they beat yall 2times this year. You dont know nothin about Oneida or Middle School Basketball. You think that if Oneida plays kids older. They are full of talent. Just like AJ98 said they are fast and big. And if you think that Huntsville is better i saw the OMS back-ups dominate Huntsvilles starters. #10 for Oneida was the smallest kid on the court and he just as good as Huntsvilles starters did. Also Oneida has 6 8th graders coming back. #23, #12, #14, #2, and #10 will probably be the starting five. Also have #22, and player from the JV that was also talented (#5)

I think Oneida will win because they are bigger, faster, and smarter than Huntsvilles players.

  12. huntsville did play oneida close and the refs took the game from them so i think huntsville will win

First - What happend at Huntsville when the refs were bad for Oneida. I think they won by 25 or 30 pts.

Second - At oneida the refs didnt take the game from Huntsville. The Defense of Huntsville ran a zone that didnt work. Oneida was winning by 12 and Huntsville back ups hit a three. Only way to keep Oneida from winning is that if Huntsville can keep there 5 in that start. Huntsville has 3 good guards and alright post. Oneida has a team that can go 9 or 10 deep from the bench.

  13. So, far in the games today

  14. I believe that Oakdale proved they are not the third worst team in this tournament........somebody tell me what happened with Burchfield's coach. He picked up two quick technicals and pulled his team from the floor! What exactly happened? Will he have to sit out two games next year?

We will see how good Oakdale is aginst Huntsville on Jan 31 at 8:15. I have no clue what happened to Burchfield's coach.

Who is Oakdales best player? Can they compete with Oneida? Can they beat Huntsville Tuesday?
