I am here!!! That was a nailbiter.....I have to agree to some point that the offensive play calling at the end could have been a little different. I could perdict what Flash was going to say. "Sweep to the right...stopped at the line of scrimmage."Sweep to the left......Stopped at the line of scrimmage." I know, I know arm chair coaching but if I noticed it over the radio I think Coach Morris would notice the pattern as well. When you are in a game like that I would also think you would go for broke and allow your QB to sling the ball on a 4th and 4 in the redzone. Seems less risky than going with a play that was stopped for Loss or no gain 80% of the night. But on the other hand....that is what got them there in the first place so there has to be some confidence in the play calling. But that is all coulda shoulda woulda......fact is that Milan played hard and won the game.

Congrats to ALL of the Camden Players, Coaches and staff on an outstanding year and being part of history at an awesome school. For all of the underclassmen...the stage has been set. Bring the wood next year.

Past always is a factor. Milan has lost 2 consecutive years to Alcoa... you don't think if Milan was to make it to the state championship against Alcoa, that it wouldn't be in the back of their minds???

 

The past is the past and it has to be thrown in the equation. It's called a monkey for you.

 

And no, its reality. I've seen Alcoa play in person the last 6 years. You take your hoo rah team up to Alcoa and you will come back wondering why you couldn't move the football. I hope Camden gets to State. I would love to see that thrashing of your "best team ever"

What to say to this? Really? You need to remember this is High School Football. That last statement seems very malicious. That is by far the first post on this board to ever anger me. I am sure the true Alcoa fans would be ashamed of you. Everyone knows that Alcoa once again has a team that is capable of bringing another state title home. But, why not Camden or Milan? I have seen it posted any team can win any given Friday. What if Camden made it, played lights out and Alcoa made just enough mistakes to LOSE the game? I don't think any player or coach that makes it to state is going in with the mind set "We are playing for second place". I hope beyond hope and pray that one day Alcoa will actually lose a game. I am sure this will not humble fans like you. It will be classified as a "fluke" and we will get to hear you guys do the same thing that everyone bashes Milan Fans for "Look what we did in the past". And unless you were a US Marine please do not use the term OOH RAH.....I earned the right to say that.....it is very offensive coming from you.

Watcheroplays - I have been on this board since 2003 and if you think I haven't seen some obnoxious Westview fans then you are wrong. I have had Charger football crammed down my Purple rear a couple of times. You guys on here now are MUCH more mild mannered than some of your predecessors. I can remember when the majority of smack in West TN was between our 2 teams. So you can pull for Camden all you want because you dislike our obnoxious bunch as you say. I respect your coach, players and program but that don't mean I gotta like'em. If the brackets had spun out differently we might be at the house right now, but it didn't happen. We caught a break. Camden may get us this Friday night but when the Dawgs come to town everybody better be on thier toes. Look me up this Friday night, I'll be the one in purple......walking home with an L on my back.

Very nice to see that everyone is more looking forward to the game than sitting to trash talk. For all of you that are going to this game, I'll be there a bit early. I'll meet you by the goalpost at the field house end zone before the game. Be nice to see some CoachTers. I'll be in black and gold (obviously), but I'll meet you all over there, say, 6:30? Let's get some cheeseburgers, talk some football, then watch two very good teams take it to each other. I really hope Camden......I am still stinging from the 55-6 beatdown we got in the final game of my senior year by the Chargers.

The game summary, as well as the archived video webcast, are now available from this past week's contest. I believe there is a very strong chance that these 2 teams could see one another again in just a few short weeks!

The iHigh broadcast was fantastic!!! I wish Camden would get it as well! It was wonderful watching it from my office in California!!!

First time I have read this much emotion in one of your posts!! We usually leave it to rcombs to do. ME LIKEY!!!!!

Remember, you can't use McKenzie as a measuring stick because they are a 1A team.......apparently the size of the student body makes the Coaches coach better and the Players play better!!!!

I hope Waverly goes there and shuts you Camden fans up this week. We would have beat yall if our coach would have been there! Its all good though because we gonna see yall in the playoffs in a few weeks. Go Rebels

Seems strange that someone 2,000+ miles away is starting a thread for this game. I played JR high at Waverly and High School at Camden. Traditionally a fantastic game and I cannot wait to listen on the internet as I always do.

Sportzcrazy you are rediculous.....I played camden football 94 and 95......we were everyone's homecoming.....we played our hearts out and had good coachs but we lacked something......what ever that was coach ward has brought back to camden.........I have never met the man but I do know coach McDowell and he is one of the most educated and talented people I know.....I had a blast playing for him.....matter of fact I think 94 was his first year.....and believe me that was a tough one for all at camden......If it han not of been for him and Coach Nunamaker I would have never played the game again.....but they talked me into it and showed me a new love and respect for the game.....I did not go on to college nore did I play that well in high school but I did take the lessons they taught me and play in the United States Marine Corps and I played well enough to make the All-Marine Team......Point is that though you may not agree with what was done as far as coaching you have to respect them for the pride and emotion that they have brought back to the Camden Football team.....

Congrats to all of the seniors....take these lessons you learned here and use them later in life and you will be successful in everythign you do.
