"The moral of the story, Privates are welcome by the Public cry babies as long as they can be used as whipping boys.....just don't let them become good."
i dont think you can hardly say that. if tssaa was responding to public desires there would be no privates in d-1, whipping cream or not.
that said, i cannot fathom why the request was turned down.
neither ncs nor zion deserves to be put thru 2 more years of the current setup...
altho ncs does sometimes have decent football teams, and their basketball is plenty competitive.
as with merit system discussions for publics, all privates are likewise not the same.
i suppose i can understand the "between realignments" argument, except;
unless i am misreading things, both schools are in overcrowded regions already.
just once i would like to see a decision justified by it being the "right thing to do".
How do you respond to David Brainerd being allowed to go to Division I in the middle of the 4 year cycle? I would think if one can leave DII and go to DI then a DI school should be allowed to go to DII. Any thoughts?
-
I think that six would be much more agreeable to the schools. It would allow some of the nonregion games Like Webb-Catholic still to be played.
What about some of the private schools in DI???? Will they be allowed to join this year with the new changes?

Lets see on the average there are maybe 20 football players for every 300 students. Hmmm looks like the numbers are catching up and we ae now suffering from the "swirlies" and "wedgies" of our forefathers. REVENGE OF THE NERDS!!!!!
Any serious candidates for this job?

DA is going to win the back to back state championships. But if someone has a good DT the bears might be in trouble. #56 is by far the weakest link on the O-Line, I think my little sister could bull rush him the entire game and give him tons of trouble.
I wouldn't hand them a state championship just yet. Did DA do something to you to make you this annoyed by #56?

Any Predictions?
Not that it is impossible, I just doubt it.

OMG you've got to be kidding about not being able to wear lettermen jackets to school, this has been a high school tradition in America forever. I wore my father's jacket on throw-back old-school day. This new administration must really want to take the high school experience away from being in high school, this is CRAZY. Does the current administration realize that a student can receive varsity letters in things other than sports. i.e... Marching Band, Pep Club, Cheerleader, POM Squad, Color Guard.
These people must really be out of touch, glad I graduated when Briarcrest was a real high school. This sounds like a bunch of people who were never capable, able or willing to participate in any extracurricular high school activities when they were in high school and now as adults they are taking it out on the current students. Looks like a case of someone who is trying to get revenge or exercise their power.

Is it official that the coach is gone???????? If he is will they keep him as an administrator or teacher? Is there anyone on staff that could rally the troops to rebuild? Just wondering......

Just wondering if there is interest in this since the multiplier is starting to effect some of the private schools in DI. Don't you think it is ironic that the multiplier increased at the same time DII split into 2 dividions in all sports?

You would have to mention Golden Tate of PJP II and what about Nick Crawford and John Jenkins of ECS?
-
bump
Let me guess your in the mighty Division 1?
-
good points
Don't forget Golden Tate either.

yes. i think he came originally from oklahoma. i think he was at bolton before. i heard that he was ill and was just checking to see if it was the same person.
He was ill (I believe it was a form of cancer) but he is fine now. He will be able to coach this year. Last year he didn't coach throughout the season.

Yeah, they (FRA) have been talking about expanding and rearranging their campus for several years. I'm sure they realize that in order to compete with other private schools in the area they must improve their facilities.
What is the word on this position? Any names yet?

can anyone tell me where tom nesmith is now? someone said he had cancer or something like that. any info would be great
Are you talking about the former Bolton coach? I believe he is at Central High School now in Memphis.

The refs didn't stop the clock because of the punt team. They originally stopped the clock because a Webb player was asked to step of the punt return for either (blood, wristband, or shirt untucked). Then the clock started again and the Webb coach wanted to know why the clock was running but he waited until the 25 seconds were almost over. After that Ecs ran out more clock before punting. Anyway to make a long story short the refs, coach, and Ecs ran the clock and not an illegal formation.
