To all of the "grown" men that felt as though they had to belittle the "other side", You ALL remind me of what I stepped in this morning in my yard. (dang neibors dog!) These kids do not play for your entertainment. They don't play for your enjoyment. They play for each other. They play because they love to play the game. They play for that feeling of "BROTHERHOOD" that others that are never fortunate enough to be a part of a team never get to experience. I missed it so much after my last game. That was PART of the reason I joined the Marine Corps after graduation. To be a part of something bigger than you, to know that others depend on you, and when you do your part and that feeling of accomplishment that comes from it is like nothing else I have experienced. So lay off each other and let these seniors enjoy what may be the last time they are a part of a TEAM. They deserve your support but more to the point they deserve your RESPECT. I have the feeling that all these negative posters on the other board lost sight of the fact that even the guys lined up across from you are your brothers too.They have sacrificed their time, minds and bodies for their team same as you. Sure he is going to try to whip your tail but I would be hugely disapointed if that weren't the case since you'll be doing the same,HUH? So lighten up, let these kids enjoy their last moments of being a part of something special. No matter the score, no matter the outcome tomorrow, they are all winners because they were a part of something bigger than any one individual. They were part of a T...E...A...M.. Good luck to both teams, and know this is one Highlander thats pulling for you Dogs.

I will have to say that this is the best post that I have seen all week. All that rambling on and on and on last night really got on my nerves. It was the varsity game.....he got to play the last 5 minutes and scored the last touchdown with 5 seconds left to go in the game. Email me (this name @ yA&&o) and I can email it to ya.

pujo, i heard that the JV put a smack down on Cloudland Monday night. Where you there and did Hampton really look that good?

I was at the game Monday night.....they looked really good. I am interested in seeing Dylan Ward develop in the next few years as quarterback. They pretty much held Cloudland when they needed to just about all night. I saw a couple of interceptions and fumbles both ways. This was the first time I saw those guys play this year but I think they will step up to the varsity and be right in the game. How about that Ellis kid? Running 70+ yards...but it was kind of crazy that we couldnt even turn that into a touchdown from less than 5 yards out. And, this didn't only happen once. This team has got to come together and play as a team and get it together better than what I saw last night if they have any chances of getting anywhere. Unicoi County has definitely improved and was there to win last night. They actually out played the dogs last night. I was kind of thinking it would be a slight blow out but boy was I wrong.

Let's go dogs....get it together. We will be there rooting for ya come Friday night!

If you would go back and look at the yearbook of Adam Townsend's 4th grade year, I will be his picture will be in the Hampton Elementary School. I wonder which school's yearbook that Rickaway's picture was in. Was it a Lebanon, Tennessee school or was it possibly from a Florida school? I could care less if Friendship Christian School recruits players. From what I understand, there is nothing against the rules in doing it so go for it. Just don't act like it doesn't happen. You should be saying we won the game with the players we had on the field and it doesn't matter where they came from, they played for FCS. That would be the truth and that should be one of the virtues that your Christian school is putting forward to the public.

As for the game, what I saw was two pretty evenly matched teams who played their hearts out for 48 minutes. Also, since I have a son playing for Hampton, I am sure I am biased, but I saw some very questionable calls from 2 of the 4 officials on the field during the game, and then after the game, I saw those same officials in the middle of FCS' celebration on the field. HMMMM......that is an eyebrow raiser to this Hampton fan. Did the refs cost Hampton the game? No, probably not. Did the refs do a smart thing by joining the celebration? Absolutely not.

I also saw that. I was one of the last ones that left the sidelines on the visitors side.....and there were still some refs there. That was not just congratulating the players on a win if you ask me. May just be my opinion.....but the rest of Hampton fans saw it too. Not trying to start anything...just voicing my opinion...which will be to tssaa also.

I wanna say Congrats to the Dgos for getting this far! I have really enjoyed watching you all the last two years! You are all winners to all of us fans!

And, just one last question from me:

Do the refs always celebrate in the circle on the fields with FCS after the game? I saw a lot of hugging and patting going on there. Just wondering. Seems like all of our refs never go to either side of the field here once the game was over.
