  1. I did not think we would destroy Clinton.  However, I do not understand how our Oline has struggled every scrimmage and in this game and we expect something different.  Many college teams run this same offense and have little or inferior lineman when compared to the Dline's that they face.  Hopefully we will make a big improvement in that area from week 1 to week 2.  While I am at it I must say that having #9 at receiver is a complete waste.  This is a guy who will play Defensive end or tight end in college or tackle if he continues to grow.  We want to run the ball and we have what could be the best tight end or offensive tackle in the state playing WR.

  2. Key player? Leader? From who I saw play in the Heritage scrimmage, to who I saw at Wildcat day, to what I've been told at home......I have no idea.

    O-lineman?

key words. "Should be." Sorry for the double post, been out of the country and off of coacht for a bit and still trying to figure out on mobile. I am not sure what you saw at the scrimmage or at wildcat day, but I am in no way attacking you. Just saying that I heard what coach said and I saw him wilfully walk off, then saw him brought back later in the practice.
  3. I just remembered that the Clinton Radio guy (The worst in history of radio)was trashing Oak Ridge last year during the game.He thought we was running up the score which was stupid.I wonder if it ever got back to the Oak Ridge coaches?

I assumed we were running up the score.

  4. I hope we are ready for the dragons come Friday night. hopefully what I am seeing will not show up during the game. Maybe the new offense and the lack of a clear cut starter at qb has me worried, or maybe the fact that what should be a key player and leader on this team walked off of the practice field last week has me worried. I am however predicting a 34-21 victory for the cats. Maybe someone can convince me to increase my margin of victory prior to Friday night. I hope these Cats know that we do not lose to Clinton!

  5. I disagree with that. If your statement was true then our 2005 team would have won the state championship. Because not only was Spencer on that team but also a lot of other very good players. I agree that Spencer was a very great player, perhaps one of the top three in OR history, but I disagree with your statement about Robertsville or Jefferson winning every game because of a "Spencer" type player. The 2005 team lost TWO games with Spencer plus MANY very good players.

I understand what you are saying about the 2005 High School team. I am talking about middle school where the talent is more spread out and not yet developed. A player like Spencer on a Middle School team makes a huge difference.

  6. I was hoping Blade would take Mullins with him. Oak Ridge couldn't be that lucky though. If he tries to hire his buddy again he should be removed but if the administrations track record means anything they will do nothing. Business as usual.......
