  1. What secondtone did was wrong but Coach Cash was not much better when he allowed his emotions to get the best of him and respond to secondtone. When you are a public figure like a coach you must swallow your tongue and not say anything even though you would like to strangle someone.

So replying to something you are being accused of and asking for the individual to come forward and speak directly to you about their complaint is letting your emotions get the best of you?  Hmm it would seem to me you believe that individuals should be allowed to take highly critical shots at coaches with no accountability for their actions.  All Coach did was ask the person to meet with him.  Seems to me that is the honorable way to handle matters.  Speaking to him here is the only means of communications available since secondtoone does not include his real name.

  2. No Dice friend Camdens 2a also

6-AA: Adamsville, Camden, Decatur County Riverside, Houston County, Lewis County, Loretto, Scotts Hill, Waverly.http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/preps/2014/06/13/tssaa-football-regions-proposed/10488843/  With Lewis Camden and Adamsville the district is tough..if Waverly can continue the resergance this region will be tough as nails..battle tested and ready come playoff time

This is from an article back in june.  The numbers came out today and right now Camden is the second smallest 3A school (Harpeth is the smallest).  So unless there are 2A schools wanting to move up.  Camden is going 3A.

  3. It is what it is. I could say yall ran outside because austin malone didnt play at all, he woulda contained it. He'll be back this week. Anyways, Just think...this is our first yr with new coaching. Next yrs team will really be on track. Good job on yalls win. Yall earned it. I was just sayin yall didnt beat us down w brute strength. And i still think that.

Malone played over half  the game on defense.

  4. The jobs dried up, people moved, took a lot of talent with them. Used to be one of the bigger schools in district and I think they are one of the smaller ones now. Sometimes its not coaching, its talent walking the halls. Teams like Aloca, even if they had a avg coach, could beat a better than avg coach at Waverly based on talent alone. That's what happen at Hickman Co, was a good 4a team in early 2000's, but when bumped up to 5a, talent wasn't there to play with teams like Hillsboro.

Careful now lets not bring actual logic into the Coaching situation in Waverly.  The Junior Pro Parents will not have it! Lol  Actually you have hit the nail right on the head.  Waverly's average record for the last 20+ years has been consistently 3-7  per year.  An occasion winning record thrown in.

  5. Well looks like tonight took care of the fantasy that some on here had about 11AA having two teams in the Region Championship. Most knew Page was very good last year beating Creekwood in the semis and losing in the Region 6AA Championship game to a State Bound Waverly team. Basically the same Page team this year. This years Championship game will be an almost complete rematch from last years semis. Should be a good game. Either way somebody is going to get Macon and somebody is going to get CPA on Saturday. And either one of those teams is a tough matchup.

  6. Actually your wrong. Yeah there might not be a plaque handed out but winning your district in the regular season gets you into the district tournament semifinals automatically in which case gets you into a regional game automatically so if you ask me I'd rather be playing more post season basketball than have a plaque saying "regular season district champs"

yes in a seven team or less district it does get you a bye and int the region. It does not in an eight team district. Winning the number one seed, getting a bye, and automatically qualifying into the region are all great. It is a wonderful statement on your season. If you want to claim a championship that no one recognizes have at it. If you want to be recognized as District Champs (which seems to be what folks are hungering for on here) well then you have got to step up next week and get it done. None of this is to say that Cheatham does not have a fine team. They have a very good team. However, the District Champs for 11AA will be determined next week.

  7. When he says back to back he means REGULAR SEASON BACK TO BACK DISTRICT 11-AA CHAMPIONS. So yes there has been a back to back so shut up and look at every aspect before you assume the meaning of somebody's words

There is no such thing as Regular Season District Champion in basketball. Only Football does that. The District Champion is the winner of the District Tournament. That is the only plaque handed out to the Champion. So the aspect you speak of does not exist. I am sorry this is such a sore spot for you guys. Win the tournament and you are District Champs it is that simple, the real season begins Monday. Best of Luck to all.

  8. Ricky: I have not attacked you in any way, shape, or form so I would appreciate it if you'd practice what you preach and do the same thing. Thanks!

The Cubs won and the reason the students stormed the court is because the win CLINCHED THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE DISTRICT 11-AA CHAMPIONSHIP for the Cubs basketball team. That's a reason for students to celebrate. This Cubs win was far from "an upset".

The part in BOLD appears to be something that looks like a person ripping an official. I thought many others posted "don't blame officials, injuries, food poisoning, etc." recently on this topic.

Also I noticed that Camden only beat Montgomery Central by 3 points last night. Montgomery Central has recently played Waverly to a 2-point game, Harpeth to a 10-point game, and now Camden to a 3-point game. I'm sure Waverly & Creek Wood would much rather play Stewart County than Montgomery Central at this point.

Lets see Waverly won the district in 2011, Harpeth in 2012, 2013 winner will be determined next week. No back to back yet, unless Harpeth is able to do it.

  9. I am not going to argue on this. The regular season champion is the recognized district champion for that particular season. The postseason tournament champion is for a tourney championship/region tourney seeding. That is all!

Oh my lol I did not know you were the district director in basketball. I will let Coach Parker know he has been relieved. We all get things incorrect once in awhile, shoot i get things wrong all the time, but you are incorrect on this.

  10. Yes you are. When you win a District Championship during the regular season you do receive a plaque at the end of the year. Cheatham got one for basketball last year and got one for football this year. The end of the tournament only awards the tournament champion, all-tournament team, and regular season all district team (where again the champion gets the most players).

I am not going to dispute this with you because I already know I am correct. I know how the TSSAA works.

No sir, you are incorrect on basketball, football i have no clue, they do not give awards for regular season champion in basketball, I have been involved in awards presentation on mulitple occasions. Regular season first place gets two things. A number one seed in the district tournament and with a seven team district a guarantee into the region. And two normally the most spots on the all district regular season team. The team plaques are first and second in the district tournament. Now football different sport different format. So you probably are correct on that.

  11. I'm sorry to burst your bubble Lion34 but the regular season district champion is the recognized district champion. The tournament champion is just for postseason region tournament seeding. The regular season champion is recognized as #1 at the postseason all-district banquet and gets to name their players to the all-district team first. That's the way it works! The postseason is a totally different thing.

    Nice try though.....

Not correct at all. They give no hardware for regular season champion. None what so ever. If you win the tournament you are District Champion. Regular Season is for seeding purposes only. Tournament Time is the Real Season.

  12. As a Camden fan I'm excited to have Fairview and Lewis county in our district. in 4 years we have lost 2 district games in football. I would rather be more tested going into the playoffs than that to be honest.

To the Stewart county fan complaining...I am sure Lewis County is not looking forward to driving all the way to Dover to lay a beat down on your sorry football/basketball/baseball/softball teams either so how would they gain by putting the fix in? Request a move to 9aa..really maybe they will think your football players flipping the visiting fans the bird for 3 quarters is cute.

Ok you are about as dumb as a box of rocks! This is not all about football. Ask your other sports coaches if they are thrilled to be in a nine team district will the other district has six teams. As far as scheduling difficult teams for football you guys could easily schedule lewis and fairview as non - district games. This was about Lewis and Fairview getting together and running from CPA. Fairview can pretend they wanted in 9AA but when the move was made to send them to 11AA they said not one word. The Board of Control has no business voting on districts. It is made up of Adminstration of schools and in this case True worked it out with politics to get what was good for his school and the heck with every other AA school in his district. PTC is right kids from Dover and Really Montgomery Central will be getting home at midnight on a weeknight for all sports except football. Not to mention leaving school very early to get to the game.

  13. Moving Fairview and Lewis to 11AA is absolutely a joke.

A region with a nine team district and a six team district. This is about politics and Bryan True and the Board of Control should be embaressed and removed and why the board of control has know business setting up districts. It also shows why the six class system is not working this was all about two things getting away from CPA and getting in a better district for football. Embarrasing to all who voted for this.

  14. Waverly has always had a jv scedule until this year. However, when you have only 17 players and two of them decide in late Jan. they are going to focus on AAU basketball it leaves you very thin. Their senior class is non existent and only one junior. It happens with smaller schools. Next year their numbers should be back up and hopefully and jv schedule can resume. You are right about sports sharing athletes KSgovols. In smaller school athletes have to be shared. All it takes is one coach who decides his sport is more important or better than everyone else's and numbers become a huge issue. Fortunately here at Waverly our coaches understand this, or at least those who coach on the male side do, and willingly share athletes and work together. It is certainly not the desire of any coach a Waverly not to have a jv schedule sometimes it is just not possible.

  15. 2011-2012 District 11-AA Champions

    Cheatham County Cubs (BOYS)

    Creek Wood Red Hawks (GIRLS)

    2012 District 11-AA Tournament Champions

    Harpeth Indians (BOYS)

    Waverly Tigerettes (GIRLS)

Lol Ok so if you say so it makes it so. Then why no plaque, why no recognition, why does history not record you that way? because regular season if for seeding purposes only. Nothing more. Each sport has only one district champ. I know you want it to be different, but it is not.
