  1. QUOTE(Jim Harrick @ Feb 18 2007 - 08:00 PM) 826378205[/snapback]You got Franklin and Centennial as 1 or 2

Brentwood and Overton as 3 or 4

    A prediction

    #1 McGavock plays #4 Overton

    #2 Whites Creek plays #3Brentwood

    #3 Antioch plays #2 Centennial

#4 Hunters Lane plays #1 Franklin

  2. Yes this is true I was at this game. White house point guard Welch had 24 points 20 in the second half and Welch's dad went and asked Franklin coach if he was good enough to play on that franklin team and franklin coach answered well we couldnt even stop him so ya.. . . . .. so if franklin cant stop a non-rated who is underratted point guard by the way then who can they stop? ? please inform me?

The win White house got over McGavock this summer was a complete fluke. McGavock's leading man JaQuan Kilcrease and some other key players weren't there. I can promise you that will never happen again. Also someone earlier said JaQuan Kilcrease is the most selfish player ever and that McGavock doesn't play as a team. Thats totally crazy. I could honestly say McGavock has 5 to 6 players who average double digits and 5 more at that who can come off the bench and play. Whites Creek is #1, but mark "MY" words McGavock will be #2 in District 12AAA.

  3. Josh Henley has had a great summer, and is not being overshadowed... He has made the transition to the perimeter very well, and is continuing to work on his guard skills. Due to injuries and a limited guard roster, Josh even ran some Point Guard in North Carolina at TOC. Josh has had a few games where he's knocked down 3 threes. Josh has started every game for the Ballerz Elite, and plays with so much heart and passion-he's a coach's dream...

When is your next scrimmage or game?

  4. Scotty Hopson-6'5 or 6'6, can shoot, handle, and leap out of the gym, he needs to improve his ball handling skilss and add strength and will have a great future

    [

I know the Hopson kid is a prodigy from what everyone else has been saying, but what about the ohters I've listed?

  5. Well I really dont know much about the team, I know the two players from Harpeth and I know they travel some but not a lot. The 6'8 kid is just a sophomore and he is going to be very improved by the end of the summer. He is still lacking the jumping ability that he can excell to, and he still needs to improve his post moves. The PG is Cody Hudson he is getting very good, great ball handling skills sees the floor alright, and he is really working on his three point shot, and it is coming to him.

The Mcgavock kids I know nothing about just that they must be pretty good to be tenth in the 16u class. Also John Henderson sponsors the team.

Oh ok. I see. Well hopefully this kid can grow into the body God has given to him man. But the only kids I hear from the Jags are Don Woods and KC Anuna. Is the Hudson kid a starter for Harpeth this 06-07 season?

  6. The music city jags are loaded with players from Mcgavock, and then they have a few players from other schools. They have two from Harpeth 6'8 Steven Dixon and PG Cody Hudson.

6'8 Man!!! He must be a beast for the Jags. I dont remember seeing him doing that much atthe Substate at Goodpasture. Was he hurt? Since you u know alot about this team, who are the players from McGavock and tha teams top players?

  7. Best 2 players from 16U teams in my opinion, obviously the coaches can tell you the best. Some people will get on here and give you a list of several but I willwho keep it at two for arguments sake:

Mid State Ballerz Elite: Scotty Hopson (KY), Tyshaun Edmonson (KY)

Nashville Celtics: DeMario Williams (Culleoka), Raphael Gaskins (Glencliff)

TN Thunder: Michael Macadoo, Marcus Jefferson

Who all does Tennessee Travelers, Music City Jags, and Nashville Stallions have? There best players

  8. Some big movement among the 16's heads the way for the newest rankings.

Week #3 the trend appears to be those who did'nt play were the least effected by drastic movement. Big upsets at the Challenge and no bracket play advancement at the Wallace Prather Classic played a huge part in the new rankings.

    1. TENNESSEE TRAVELERS

The Travs move into the top spot. Next stop Nike Memorial Day in Nashville.

    2. MEMPHIS TIGERS

Big weekend in Louisville keeps the sub-state champs on a roll.

    3. NASHVILLE CELTICS

Huge win over D-One Sports gives the Celtics momentum going into the T.O.C

    4. M33M BALLERZ

Tough circumstances in Atlanta young squad readies for the summer

    5. MID-STATE BALLERZ ELITE

Stifiling loss at Challenge culminated subpar weekend. T.O.C looms large.

    6. MID-STATE BALLERZ ELITE 16'S

Youngsters held out of challenge for rest, will prepare for big run at T.O.C

    7. MEMPHIS YOMCA

Young roster will mesh as season goes along. Memorial Day makes or breaks

    8. MEMPHIS STORM

Up and down weekend. Blasted Mavs by double digits but fell to Select.

    9. TENNESSEE MAVERICKS

Big win over Ballerz Elite, tough loss to Storm. Big squad prepares for T.O.C

    10. MUFREESBORO STARS

No action costs the guys in this instance. Whats next for the Stars?

    11. MID-STATE BALLERZ SELECT

Jeckyl and Hyde. Narrow win over Storm, big loss to Select 16's

    12. MEMPHIS MAGIC

Ready or not here they come having rangled a T.O.C invite.

    13. MEMPHIS CELTICS

Tough weekend in Atlanta, but at least they were there.

    14. TEAM MEMPHIS

This squad has issues that must be solved before success can be achieved.

    15. TENNESSEE THUNDER

No action as of late, big AAU state tournament awaits in early June.

    16. MEMPHISHOOPERS.COM

Used day two of challenge to help their cause. Big win over Ken-Tenn beneficial.

    17. KEN-TENN RUN-N-GUN

Newcomer had victories over Select at the Challenge of Champions.

    18. Nashville Stallions

Another team that has not played in some time.

    19. TENNESSEE BREAKERS

What lies in store for the East Tennessee boys.

    20. KAYA

    See above.

    16 AND UNDER:

    1. Mid-State Ballerz Elite

    2. Nashville Celtics

    3. Tennessee Thunder

    4. Mid-State Ballerz Select

    5. Nashville Stallions

    6. Chattanooga Warriors

    7. Knoxville Cagers

    8. Tennessee Travelers

    9. Team Memphis

    10. Music City Jags

Out of those Top 10 `16 under AAU teams can somebody give me like 2 of the teams best players?

  9. Wow! This is getting heated. Why don't we just let the kids playthe game of basketball. Now you see why so many high school basketball coaches hate for their players to play AAU, and just want them to go to team camps. There is to much fighting and petty arguments going on. But I would like for somebody to answer Real Story's question , about why Tennessee Thunder doesn't go to the big time tournaments. Because Tennessee Thunder is one of my favorite AAU teams to watch, especially because to my opinion they have one of the best backcourts in all 16u teams and most 17u teams.
  10. I saw a couple of teams play from each pool, and alot of them shined. Who do you all think shined in each pool. Name a few people from each pool.

    Pool A.

I would have to say the whole TN Thunder squad. No not really but Michael McAdoo, Marcus Jefferson, and Kyle Upton showed me they could play the game of basketball.

    Pool B.

The Memphis teams came in strong, representing Memphis well. Im not sure of their players names but as a team they played well.

    Pool C.

The Ballerz Elite as everyone expected played excellant. Scotty Hopson form Kentucky, along with Josh Henely, and a kid they call Taye played brillantly. Scotty showed us that he is beginning to move into the 3 postion.

From the Nashville Stallions Charles Watson played good , at times wouldn't pass to the open man, but instead took a wild shot. Dee Mason played tough on the boards and kept his team in the game in the crucial moments. But one kid who I was pleased to watch play was they kid from Lavergne,Mario. He played with no fear driving through the lane, dishing, and laying it up. Good job Stallions

    Pool D.

Now this pool wasn't exactly an exciting pool to me. The Top to teams were MurfressTown Hustlers and Music City Jags. The Hustlers came in to play, they played hard with 2 solid big men and in the middle, and there 2 man #20 who shot lights out in pool play.

The Jags also played very well. I was impressed that they won the games they did, because they really only play 6 or maybe 7 players. Playing well for the Jags were KC Anuna, who came off the bench solid, but seemed to be the Jags offensive weapon and leading scorer. Brandon Harris played big on tha boards and playing with all his heart. He was excellant on both offense and defense. But one thing I do have to say was that the guard play for the Jags was not their.

  11. who are the favorites in each pool? just by looking at it i would say the thunder, YOMCA, Ballerz Elite, and Murfrees Town Hustlers are the top teams in each pool. Who are the TN Wildcats and the Nashville Burners

This will be an excititing weekend of AAU basketball. I think the teams to beat i YOMCA, any of the Ballerz squads, and the Thunder, if they can play sound basketball. They have good talent. Don't count out the Music City Jags or Stallions

  12. What about Don Woods of McGavock High? He started this year for the Raiders and was 2nd or 3rd leading scorer for them also. He has a nice jumpshot, but needs to get stronger and learn to not only rely on his shot but also his penetrating skills.

I also see everyone is leaving off Big Michael McAdoo of Antioch High, and Joshua Henley of Hunters Lane. This 2 teams wouldn't have gotten to where they are now if it wasn't for those 2. Hunters Lane only decent post player is Henley.
