  1. Come on. What happened last year is over and done with. Give the boy a chance. It will be interesting though to see if he starts the first came of the season against his old team.

If its over and done with, then all parties involved should drop the law suit and move on. Or at least the ones that have found other teams to play for should remove their names as parties to the suit.

  2. Maybe I missed something (I usually do), but, Roane Co. athletes must sign (as well as their parents) a random drug testing policy before they are allowed to participate in any athletics. Is this not regulated by TSSAA currently? If not, it must be mandated by the local school board.

I personally, as a father and coach, agree with the random drug testing. If an athlete is scared that they are going to get "popped" with a test, and that keeps them clean, I'm all for it. The one thing I would like to see mandated is for coaches, teachers, and administrators to be included in this as well. Not saying any are doing drugs, but think that they should be setting the example and be made to play by the same rules.

    Absolutely!!!

  3. At our school we test football players, band memebers, cheer leaders, and any other extra-curricular in the building.

I believe that if they are going to test the students, then they should test the coaches, teachers, etc... All the way to the school board and the superintendant. Just how drug free do they want to be???

  4. Having a relative that played for them last year I can tell you how they did it.

They practiced the crap out of them. Losing was absolutely not an option. The coaches only accepted excellence from the players 110% of the time.

May God Bless Coach Moore, his family and the Catholic Football Program.

  5. Dear Father God,

Please bless the Hudson family in their hour of need. Bless the searchers that their mission will be a safe and successful one. Please allow closure to be brought to this terrible accident. Bless the Hudson family, friends and Macon County High School. Comfort them Lord in the knowledge that they will see Jonathan again one day in your heavenly kingdom, through the promise of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    Amen

  6. Thanks for all the prayeres. Latest word on Logan is that he has a fluid sack that has built up behind his eye and is pressing on his optic nerve. Doctors have started him on meds to reduce the fluid and hopefully regain his vision. He also under went tests to see why he is having so much pain in his joints. No word on the test result for this yet.

Please keep praying for this young man and his family. He is a great kid.

  7. Make excesive celebrating more strict after a TD. I'm sick of seeing these WR doing diff. dances every time they score! I definately agree with u catfish. I believe Reggie White and Barry Sanders are two of the best and most respectful players in the recent years of the NFL.

  8. Last season's freshman class had a talented football team, but they couldn't quite get it together. I know the most talented freshman played varsity, but there is still plenty of size and talent moving up. There are 3 or 4 fresh lineman movin' up that weigh in at over 275 and one of them comes in at about 310! If these guys can get into shape and get some strength, Jeff. Co. could have a powerhouse line in the next few years. As far as skill players go, there are some freshman backs(movin' up to varsity) throwin' up some heavy weight at workouts. I know the fastest and most agile freshman played TB for varsity, but I believe by this fall, some upcomers might surprise some people w/ their speed. The point is, Jeff. Co. has a lot of potential. The question is, will the players use it?
