Well I have not seen all these other teams play but I saw catholic at ac tuesday and I have seen clinton, halls, cak, loudon, os, and I do know basketball. I am not sure why catholic holds the ball they looked good against ac in transition and that #22 can flat out shoot plus their guys play physical. I did like that spread offense and the way they moved without the ball and attacked the basket. Of the teams i have seen they can compete and beat any of them. PLUS I GIVE THEIR STUDENT SECTION BIG PROPS BECAUSE WERE EFFECTIVE IN SOMEONE ELSE'S GYM--I BET THEY ARE EVEN BETTER AT HOME They have earned my respect!

extremefury I have to give you credit on your research--you are right about the enrollment, they have been at the top two or three AA schools for a long time--I cannot imagine them playing in clintons district night in and night out. You are also right about clinton should be doing better--they should dominate ac every year with the talent they always have. By the way where did the 11 year losing streak come from fact or hearsay?

I know that AC girls are good but, will someone explain to me how a triple A girls team like clinton cannot even line up with them and not score for almost two quarters. What is wrong with the program at clinton.

And speaking of whining, I guess if I almost got beat by a mediocre Double A school and I was suppose to be a Triple A power I would be embarrassed that I got bailed out by a cheap call--Maybe clinton does not need to overlook people.

No, I brought up fundamentals because chsbbfan said clinton was one of the best defensive teams in the area and I said their fundamentals were bad and they dont play defense good they just chase, grab, and gamble. Also, how many of those clinton wins were eldridge vs. lockard(chris)?

You are correct AC's fundamentals on D arent that good. What does that have to do with the call made at the end of the game. By the way I am not even from AC and I never attended AC I am just a basketball fan, and any baskteball fan knows neither one of those two teams can really D anyone up in the half court game. Can you say you wouldn't be whining if that call late in the ball game would have been against you? Now I know everyone is tired of talking about the CALL but if you want to talk about basketball and this rivalry lets talk about how Coach Eldridge the past 5 or 6 years has won with a team far less talented than Clinton. This guy has beaten Clinton who's talent level is much better year in and year out. Getting the most out of what you have is so important and Coach Eldridge does that as well as anyone in the business. Good Luck to both teams the rest of the year.

I agree that jl tried to force to much late but that is his game. You are wrong because you dont have to make that call. Everyone knows if the foul does not impede the player you dont make it. The same grabbing and hand checking happened all night by both teams. Why do you have to make it with 6 seconds and a tie game? Also, dont tell me clinton is one of the best defensive teams they dont play with any fundamentals they just gamble and play physical. They get away with a ton of fouls and sub a lot--they are actually a poor defensive team

I just got done reading the four pages of posts and I thank everyone for the entertainment. OS is going to dominate their district--who else is in their region--but they are use to winning and the district is very weak outside of oneida and wartburg. AC is finally back to being a treat in their region and district and all of you os is young posters look at the top scorers fo AC --not only has dupree been a difference maker but pittman, a sophmore, has led them in scoring four or five times in the lst month she is good. Also if the mavs would focus on getting the ball to them they will beat alot of people and would have beat oz alot worse--people must have forgot it was barger getting hot that even kepot os in the game. As for the mid-major mtsu, wku and utc's dont even compare them to top d-1 it is dumb. I am a ttu fan but to compare them to top d-1's would be dumb. As for everyone jumping on wizard of wood --He just made an observation --all of you have compared dupree and christopher all month saying one is better than the other talking about their strengths and weaknesses. they are 14-15 years old and hall is 19-20. I hope she can handle " you are not playing well" if she can't it is good she does not play for pat head summitt. Actually i know laura can handle it or she would not have made it this far at 5 foot 4 or whatever she is --she is tough as nails-- I think the ones that cannot handle it are you liberal-tree hugging i am okay you are okay no one makes a mistake people from oz. Come on if you have played competitive college sports the lat thing yuou want to hear if you played bad is your friends and family say "you played okay" it made me mad because i wanted to hear the truth so I could get better even if the truth hurt. other winners want to hear the truth

And you were right about Dane Bradshaw as well, he is playing minutes because they have no one else that can play.

Who is gonna win? That is a good question. Where is the game being played at? If it is at OZ it will be hard for the Lady Mavs to win. They are young and oh yeah by the way is the Lady Bobcats that young I noticed on their roster they had like 6 or 7 upperclassman and in the paper against Coalfield the leading scorer was a Senior I believe. Talent levels will be close and so will the game who will win the Coaching Battle? That could be important in a game like that. I can look back on last years District Championship game at AC between these two teams and notice coaching can be important in a close game like this one. Not sure on a prediction yet dont know enough about either team besides they have two good freshman.

Great OS basketball lineage how many state championships in the past 15 years dont go comparing yourself to Shelbyville and OR they are out of your league down there in the land of the OZ. Oh yeah the reason those Freshman and Sophmores are so good they had a great middle school coach dont forget about SAM.

Good Hire Come on.... how about that middle school coach in the land of OZ that coached all those girls that are playing right now. Did he ever lose a game with those girls? If he did it might have been one. I know Coach Wright had good success and that comes from kids coming from a good middle school program. Lets watch the next 4 or 5 years and see if b ball at oz goes down any.

These are some interesting posts. Sounds like wizard has some sense but some of you others I will pray for. One thing is for sure the last five years coach wright and coach bilyeu dominated but the bad news is they are both GONE!!!
