  1. Rain seems to switch the schedule up a bit but 2 teams got games in. Central beat harden valley 14 0 Robinson pitched for central don't know the pitcher for hv. Buckner came in for central in the 4th to finish the game. Powell beat west 3 2 in a close game. I think Byrd pitched for Powell and cantrell for west.

I'm not sure who Byrd is /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> ,but Owenby pitched a great game for Powell. Cantrell pitched a heck of a game for West as well. It was a pitcher's dual with the only 2 extra base hits coming from Powell, a pair of doubles by Skeen. Powell also had clutch RBI singles from Hobby and Rhyne.

  3. It would be interesting to know who the Home Run leaders are by grade.

Powell has a freshman, Colby Skeen, with 5 right now. How many do some of the other freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors have?

  4. What is the high school rule for substitutions? Once a starter comes out of the game and then re-enters, if he comes out again is he done? A sub cannot re-enter at all, right?

  5. Fill in the blanks please:

    Central - 3 losses - Halls left

Powell - 4 losses - Camp. Co. and 2 with West left

Oak Ridge - 5 losses - done with district play

    Halls - 5 losses - Central left

    Clinton - ? losses - Karns left

    Karns - ? losses - Clinton left

    West - ? losses - 2 with Powell left

    H. Valley - ? losses - ? left

    Camp. Co. - ? losses - ? left

  6. The devils will be the sleeper of the tournament. With the addition of a legit #1 , were going to make it 7 in a row. Threw a no hitter in jv tourny this weekend. I know it was jv, but a nono is big regardless.

I agree.....Barkley should make a difference, but I heard you guys lost your #1 RHP to an injury?

Out for the season? How deep are you guys when you get past those two? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

    Can't wait for the tournament. Should be some great games. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  7. Here kitty kitty. Hey Phatcat, what's up with Powell?

Just not hitting it like we are capable of. Starting to turn it back around again.

They will be there when it is all said and done. Looks like to me that Central, Oak Ridge, and Powell have the most pitching depth to get deep into the tournament.

What are all the District 3AAA records now?

  8. I think you can take Powell off the top 5 teams. It sounds like they are playing like the bottom 5. Maybe their heads got a little TOO BIG!

I bet you couldn't wait for Powell to lose a few games so you could get on here and make that "NO CLASS" comment. Powell has hit a few bumps in the road lately, but they'll get it going again. Overall, they are still having a very good season.

How's your season going? Why don't you get on here and talk about how Halls is playing instead of waiting until Powell has a few bad games and then bashing them?

  9. What happened to Powell at karns? Doesn't karns have a tarp?

Karns does have a tarp. I was very surprised they didn't play, especially when Halls played at Hardin Valley right down the road, and HV doesn't even have a tarp. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

  10. skeen is great. i dont know about slagle. owenby isnt bad

Owenby (2-1) has not allowed an earned run in 3 games, Slagle (1-0) beat Anderson Co., and Skeen is batting in the 3-hole as the DH. Powell (9-1) also starts 3 sophs and 2 juniors.

    The future looks bright for the Panthers. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

  11. I had heard that in district play that the 2nd game against a team in your district is the one that counts.

So if you lose the 1st game against a team but win the 2nd then it's not a split but you are the winner. Is this true?

    Both games count in 3AAA

  12. I heard Marsh shut em down, and up. 2-1 Dragons over Powell.

Marsh pitched a great game. Powell came out a little flat.

But as far as your little comment about shutting Powell up, I haven't heard anyone from Powell on here running their mouth, even though they are off to a real good start.

But a couple of weeks ago, I was hearing alot of talk from you and a few other Halls fans.....but not lately.

  13. Austin Below - junior at Powell is very strong behind the plate.

Austin Smith - freshman at Halls is going to be the best catcher around the next few years(that is if they don't try to make a SS out of him).
