1. I dont personally know too much about LHS but they did beat Oakland and that says something. Then again they did lose to CHS. Anyone know anything about them or their players? Who to look for in this one? I see Kuchar carrying the team with 20+ and Farris with 10+. If Luttrell can stay in the game without foul trouble I say Indy by 6. Who knows.

You know what? I'm sick of people doubting us and I'm sick of all these Franklin people thinking no one has a shot against them, and mocking anyone who thinks otherwise. Franklin is VERY beatable, and those 4 losses prove it. (well, three if Jim Harrick gets his wish and the bank-shot is declared illegal). We Believe in our team, and we believe that we can win. Say what you want Franklin fans, we're all used to it by now. I'm picking CHS by 8, because I believe.

I'd love to back you on this one CHS but Ravenwood..comeon. FHS by 8-12. Will say without Redbone your chances are better but their guards kill CHS guards by far. And Batt should compete with Kelly. So unless Lamont drops 25+ I dont see this one going to CHS.

    Cubs,

Why do you hate CHS so much? It seems like everytime we're mentioned, you have nothing but negative things to say about the program. Taking out your frustration on another program isn't going to erase that 70-55 spankin. Maybe you lost because you all were still partying from the win over us. And yes, I know you beat us twice. You guys came to play and we didn't. Our fans got over it, your fans got over it, maybe its time you got over it.

By the way, I'm pretty sure Centennial has a better chance of winning in 07 than the Cubs.

I dont haTe CHS. I dislike the posters on here from CHS. Not so much yourself but the others. A while back everyone of them was bashing IHS before we played. It sounded like yall were running a campaign for Kelly and Lamont. Then when we won again it was the same posts about a fluke and this and that and how CHS is the better team. Now to call the game a spankin..im not so sure. Beginning of the fourth quarter it was a four point game then FHS went on there run again. It was a game until about 1:30 left on the clock. Im not into saying who did what and who was better and why this happened because thats Donathon's job.

Also, dont speak negative about the Cubs. 07 IS OUR YEAR!

Listerine just came out with a new flavor. Try it and see if it gets that bitter taste out of your mouth.

    Thats cute.

    QUOTE(rebelsrule11aaa @ Jan 27 2007 - 02:19 PM) 826348268

Good one! I think little cubs is just always bitter. Some people are just always sore losers.

After looking over previous posts I dont believe I said anything negative about FHS victory. I said "Congrats on the W." And ill say it again. As for CHS posters. You can cry and bitc* all you want but CHS 2007 maybe you should share some of your new "gum" to your own fans who made some bitter remarks following CHS loss to Indy for the SECOND time. FHS sweeps us, IHS sweeps CHS..thats how the district is. Again, good job to FHS on the victory.

  5. QUOTE(Jim Harrick @ Jan 27 2007 - 12:55 PM) 826348188

cubs: I understand you are upset, but if you had won you would have been on here by your cell phone from the stands, just admit Franklin has the better team and this discussion will end, it hurts, I know but that's how it is!

    Rebels, out

I believe I said congrats to FHS for the W. My reply was to the "Where are you now cubs" as you or whoever camped out to write at 8 am. You better believe I was sleeping in. I knew what was on the board before I got on. Hah ya I believe it was the CHS fans who claimed Indy was going downhill after a somewhat close loss to some lower teams in the district as well as Hickman. Ya'll escaped by 1. And as for the other CHS fan. You too cannot hang with FHS. But its funny cause you too were swept by Indy. So that means you cant hang with either of us? Have a nice day.

  6. QUOTE(Jim Harrick @ Jan 27 2007 - 10:11 AM) 826348023

The "INDY" fans must be sleeping in. I would to after that. Don't be ashamed, Franklin is just the better team. Look at how the younger guys come in for the Rebels and give good minutes. Young plays huge, Keg, Little Glover, and others provide us Rebel fans with a bright future. Should be fun the rest of this year, and down the road. I guess you could say the Basketball staff has it's program on solid ground.

    Go Rebels

Well it was a close game till the last minute and a half. Indy would get down by four then give up a three or two easy shots in the paint. Also I dont devote my Friday nights to CoachT as well yes, I was sleeping it and im sure it was better than getting up at 8 to make a reply to some dumb comment that I already know is on here. Congrats on the W. Too bad CHS didnt lose.

  7. QUOTE(thehighschoolfan @ Jan 26 2007 - 03:52 PM) 826347256

Who Run It? That would be Franklin, running Independence out of their own gym. This is a waste of time for the Rebels, as the Eagles don't belong on the same court as Franklin. They don't even deserve to breathe the same air the Rebels do. Rebels by 30 over the overrated, second rated Independence. I don't think anyone should come to the game, it will be over at half time. Only losing by 3 last time was the biggest fluke of the season. We have no respect for Indy because they don't deserve it.

You are a moron. Just shut your mouth. Lost by 3 first matchup at your dam* gym. Indy by 4-8 depending on last second freethrows and desperation fouls by FHS. No blowout here though.

  8. QUOTE(zoosee12 @ Jan 24 2007 - 09:54 AM) 826343838

    one more question for donathan

i know kuchar had like 34

how many of those were from the free throw line, cuz it seemed like he was there basically all 2nd half

Is that a problem? By him getting to the free throw line and trying to get CHS into foul trouble seems like smart play. Im not sure why CHS posters rag on Farris. He dropped big shots and had a huge part in the W. Farris is an above average shooter and seems to bring in as many rebounds as the big men most nights. On top of that, he runs point when Kuchar isnt and can take most defenders off the dribble. Sometimes he dribbles to much and tries to force a pass but without Farris, Indy's record would have a few more L's. CHS lost by 6. Indy lost to Franklin by 3. Now you know how it feels.

  9. QUOTE(chspridecougar08 @ Jan 23 2007 - 09:50 PM) 826343098

granted Kuchar is a good player, but the state? Let's be real. If he actually played team ball that might be the case. We seriously should have won this game. If we meet up in the district....CHS will rule! MArk my words. Independence has some great talent. I'll give Kuchar some props, he's a good player. But, you'll never make it further than district with a two man show. I know other players on that team can shoot and play ball. I watched them for years. Apparently, every play is designed for Kuchar. And I don't even know where to start with the Farris kid. He shoots every time he touches the ball. I must admit though, he has the best stupid looking jumps in the air! Get a clue, you're not Michael Jordan. Nick Luttrell did not have a great night tonight or Will Johnson. Austin ray steps in and plays some good D. I think we all know that Drew is the truth! He's the best big man in the region, possibly the state! I sure hope we get to meet up one more time. And by the way, theres no way a two man show can take franklin down on Friday--So prepare to mark up another big "L".

Granted Kuchar comes up big in clutch situations and has put the team on his back atleast 3-4 times I can recall for the W. Granted Kuchar put up 34 against CHS pal. That "two man" show did also BEAT you tonight and has swept YOU for the year. Good teams finish games..your up by 18 at one point and then look at the final..thought so. Good teams come back when it matters and good teams do what it takes for the W. Two teams didnt win tonight. Sure lots of plays are called for Kuchar and we know darn well CHS knew this. 34 Points. Sorry. That Farris kid also dropped 19. Jumping or not..19 is 19. Nick had a below average night. We usually get 10 - 10+. But your superstar NBA talent DK didnt drop 50 on us so im happy. Lamonts QUADRUPLE double also didnt happen. I think the Miami Heat lost interest in Shaq's replacement after the game tonight ..And as for your "Two Man Show".. it put a W in our column tonight. I do also hope we meet up again. Id love to brag on 3 W's against CHS for the year. Wheres all the CHS posters now? Wheres all the CHS stats now? Indy didnt have to post or brag or bring up BS stats cause we show up. Thanks again.

  10. QUOTE(hsbball67 @ Jan 23 2007 - 09:28 PM) 826343052

    Indy 76

    CHS 68

CHS had the lead most of the game, up as high as 17 but Indy came back in the 4th for the win. Tough game, both teams played really hard, but Indy showed they can play with the "red-hot" CHS team and showed they aren't just all hype. CHS, you guys are for real, all the best to you on the rest of the season.

No, Indy...you are for real! Kuchar is by far top PG in the County and ranks among the state. Easily.

  11. QUOTE(CHS 2007 @ Jan 22 2007 - 07:06 PM) 826341548

A win against Independence on Tuesday, and the Centennial Cougars will be on that list.

God bless SHUT UP. From how you and your Centennial posters preach bout CHS it sounds like we should be seeing them in the Nations Poll with elite teams from the country. CHS will not blowout Indy or even better they shouldnt be favored to win. They are by far the underdog. Drew Kelley and Lamont are not superstars. Stop making them out to be better highschool players than Lebron James or better yet Brandon Wright. Just stop.

  12. QUOTE(CHS 2007 @ Jan 21 2007 - 09:57 PM) 826340506

I was justing saying Centennial has had a hard time this year against those teams and you never know when it might happen again. But that being said, I'll add this. Although Brentwood has cooled off, the one thing that I noticed Friday and Tuesday was the improved outside defense. Everyone talks about Bug and Drew inside, but watching them these last few games it's been pretty impressive. We're playing alot more aggressive and we're doing a great job of shutting down the passing lanes, but at the same time, we're not picking up that many fouls. Overall, the Cougars have drawn less fouls since the new year started than any other team in the region and have allowed the 3rd least shots. Pretty impressive.

...and yes I did check those stats

And you did this on your Saturday night im sure. Ihs by 14.

  13. QUOTE(franklinrebelsfan @ Jan 16 2007 - 09:57 PM) 826334342

Indy played well but Franklin played mediocre at best. Franklin is a much better team than they showed tonight. The first half was probably the worst first half they've played all year. When Red only scores 2 points in the entire game it's a different ball game. Franklin missed their free throws and took poor shots. I seriously believe it will be a different story next Friday at Indy.

KUDOS TO D. BATT FOR A GREAT GAME.

Having been to ALL of Indy's games, had they played the way they did against Clarksville this game wouldve been Indys. Im sure this was a bad game on Franklins part but I will tell you it was another sloppy performance by Indy. DO NOT sit their and say that about Redbone when Luttrel scored maybe 4 and played WAY less that Red. I will point out that Red killed it on D with those pins/blocks. King came out big for the 1st time this year and if that continues then Indy should be watched out for. With Luttrel on the floor(not the case tonight), Kuchar and King putting up 10+ along with the rest of the team chipping in 2-6 here and there I dont see anyone but Franklin being a challenge. Both PG's put up huge shots and Kuchar by far carried the team without the big man. Side note, Farris has not been himself the past 2-3 games. If he comes out the way he did the first half of the season next Friday should go the other way. Sorry Franklin fans you didnt get a "Blowout" but its better then Indy's L.

  14. independance better play better than they did tonight. i went to see them play and was not impressed. they went to overtime with hillwood.

True. That was by far the sloppiest game of the season. Hope they can turn it around. It also looked like some new players in the second match between the two. Leading scorer tonight didnt play the 1st game and im not sure but Mike W. either didnt play or didnt score the first match.

    Charles Watson 14

    Mike Willis 8

  15. QUOTE(Jim Harrick @ Jan 12 2007 - 08:20 AM) 826329408

Franklin not thinking about independence, only game on the rebels mind is brentwood! That is the next game. I'm pretty sure "indy" is not a rivalry game either,,,, you must win a couple games first indy!

Your an idiot. Indy is 15-2 and 6th on the Tennessean Poll. Thats by far winning some games
