  1. Here is Shelbyville's lineup with comments....If someone could post WV's we might can see things on paper a bit better. #1 Point Guard- Deonta Twilley 5' 8" : Quickest Humane in TN - don't blink when you are on offense he will embarrass you. Best ball handler in the STATE hands down. Will take it to the hole and make things happen. Unbelievable passer. Will make you say WOW several times a game. #2 Guard- Emmanuel Andrews 5' 10": Can jump out of the gym and argueably the best shooter in TN. Get use to hearing his name. MR. Basketball candidate next year if people are honest about him. #3 Small Forward- Trevor Reed 6' 2" : Strong around the basket, great defender and can step outside and hit the three when needed. #4 Strong Forward- Bobby Wilson 6' 2": Takes it to the hole strong and grabs rebounds like a maniac. Plays much bigger than his size.Nice jumper from the 12-15 ft. range. Ignore him and he will destroy you. Ask Cookeville. #5 Center- Seth Jarrell 6' 6" : Soft touch in the paint and good shot blocker. If he comes to play he can be a force inside. Off the bench- Guard- Quinn Marable 6' - Has started many games when we go small. He's a 3-point bomber when he gets hot. Guard- Latajh Starnes 6' - Mr. Hustle! Great defensive player with a good shot from the outside. Forward- Nathan Jeffries 6' 3"- He is great rebounder and has a nice touch from inside or outside. Good defender on Larger Guys.
  2. One thing for sure. They will get in your grill with defense.
  3. I'm way too old to be standing up all night.
  4. We might do that but the only problem is there isn't enough room for us. Blah! I can't understand why all of these new schools have cracker box gyms. I was shocked at how small Blackman's gym is. For some reason everyone is following the same blueprint. TINY
  5. Here is how I see it. Bearden Science Hill Shelbyville Oakland Franklin Clarksville NE Raliegh Egypt White Station
  6. We might see a small lineup from KT and a press/trap defense. Could be a fast paced game from our stand point. Be sure and get your ticket monday morning at the CHS office. We have 800 tickets coming and thats all. The gym only holds 1600
  7. Here are the choices. Who do you think will be there??? Choice from these sectional matchups. Morristown East vs. Bearden Science Hill vs. Oak Ridge Walker Valley vs. Shelbyville Oakland vs. Red Bank Beech vs. Franklin Hunters Lane vs. Clarksville NE Raliegh Egypt vs. Melrose White Station vs. Liberty
  8. This game will be interesting. Walker Valley lives and dies by the 3-pointer. They have 4 guys that can knock them down. They have been scoring tons of points all year, but have not had a hand in their face yet. On the other hand, Shelbyville will get in your grill on defense and make you pay on offense if you don't play solid D. Does anyone have an opinion???
  9. If the King slows things down and plays tough defense you will win hands down. Red Bank = street ball = run & gun = oakland wins!
  10. The Walker Valley gym holds 1600 people and we are getting 800 of the tickets. They will be sold out i'm sure. We will be invading the place. LOL Good luck Monday Night! Hope we get to play again in the glass house!
  11. I would rather have Hughes than Hammonds because of his ability to take it strong to the hole. He handles the ball better in my opinion. He seems to have level head as well.
  12. Very entertaining game. First half was a balanced attack from shelbyville. Second half adjustments for Oakland to get Hughes the ball in the right scoring positions. Great job by both coaches.
  13. Oakland by at least 15. Red bank plays playground ball with no defense. Should be no problem for you guys!
  14. Congrats Oakland. Great game and effort by two class teams that are coached by two of the best coaches in the state. The chattanooga teams play no defense and jack threes all night with no inside game. I think we will both make it to the glass house. Lets Git-R-Done!
  15. Great game! Congrats oakland! Now lets do it again in the glass house> I think we will both end up there. Now hand Red Bank their butt and we will take care of Walker Valley. I would love to see this matchup again with a state title at stake. Tonight's game was worth the 5 bucks
  16. 11sportsfan, Watch out for Bobby tonight, he could have another big night. It will catch everyone off guard if he does.
  17. Tonight's game should be barn burner. I hope both teams play well and we both go on to the glass house and show everyone that this Region is the real deal. I think the two best coaches in the region are facing one another tonight and I know there is mutual respect between the two. We will see two class acts on display tonight. And Shelbyville is bringing a crowd....so the house should be rocking! Can't Wait!
  18. Right now we are talking about 2009 region championship game. Not last year or next year. Good luck next year Siegel should have a great team for 2009-10 season. I'm sure Twilley will dribble around whoever D's up on him, but keep your eyes on the sleeper.
  19. They must have had a bad night against Shelbyville. Twilley didnt play that night and many people on this site didnt think Shelbyville would win against them without Twilley. They played good in the first half but second half Shelbyville turned it up a notch.
  20. Twilley only scores when he needs to, he drove by everyone that tried to face him. He is the one that creates plays...He scored 21 in the earlier meeting during the holidays, so he is a threat to take control, even if he is only 5' 8". Last night, Shelbyville was careless with the ball and out of sync most of the night. I rate their performance a B- . They aren't use to playing a slow paced game, but that was KT's game plan. They played just good enough to win and thats about all you can say. I look for a bit quicker pace on Thursday. Hopefully they will bring their A game. I was looking at the Oakland schedule and was shocked to see that Cookeville beat them. How in the world did that happen? Just a bad night?
  21. The key to this game will be the inside game. Andrews will get his points....but I think you will be surprised by a sleeper, like Wilson or Jarrell . And you can bet Twilley will bring his A game. I haven't seen anyone hang with him since he was in grade school.
  22. Twilley has probably averaged 15 points per game this year, he has had quite a few games in the 20s including Siegel where he scored 21 earlier in the holiday tournament. Marable has had probably 3-5 games over 15 and Wilson has had a handful as well...the others less than 3 each and I think Starnes had a game where he had like 18 points. Twilley, Wilson, Jarrell , Marable and Reed are all capable of piling up points....of these Twilley, Marable and Reed can shoot well from 3-point range. Reed is the guy that hit a 3 in the 3rd quarter agains Siegel. Wilson and Jarrell are 15 ft. and in.
  23. I can answer this one for you. All of these players have scored 15 or more for shelbyville this year in at least one game: Marable, Jarrell, Reed, Twilley, Jeffries, Wilson
  24. This should be a very entertaining game.
