Tough place to teach everyday. Clientele is difficult. Kids brought in from all over the place. No continuity. Very few kids there actually live around the school. Facilities are, to put it nicely, terrible. Worst locker room I have ever seen. No coaches office (unless you count that closet that the refs dress in). The gym is old, tired and always dirty. Everything is constantly breaking down. The team benches are basically on the playing floor. As a coach, you have to dodge the four or five people at the game as they walk in front of you going to their seats. No fan or community support. No tradition at all. No money for athletics. The best players in the building don't play either because they can't pass anything or they didn't want to follow Coach Gamble's hair-cut rule. Other than that it is peachy.

winitall r u going to the maplewood game on wed. The 9th grade championship. especially since the trio of miles, tavares, and gary doesn't impress u. lol. maybe i can sit next 2 u at the game and we can critique it together. my heart is with maplewood, but their weakness is ensworth's strength guard play. anyway let me know i'll be there.

 

also the eastern games are at Brick church not sure who is playing today.

you must know who i am. LOL Taveres i may have been wrong with he is a player miles and gary are just average if at a metro school they wouldnt be better than cantrell and justin at mapelwood. but hey they are all good players. where is the champioship being played

Natanya is a force in the paint. I can't see anyone stopping her in middle school. It's good to hear that she has improved her mental strength on the court, because she would get so frustrated during AAU against players who weren't afraid to get rough with her. Can't wait to see how much she has progressed in the upcoming AAU season.

Hey winitall, Don't start burning on the coach-His record speaks for itself. He has won State Championships before. You are either a player or a wannabe coach. How can you say anything about the coach, I hear that there is alot of jealousy on their team. Could someone tell me antioch's record the past few years. Besides when they had Mario Moore, have they ever in the history of the school won more than they lost.

hey i am not a player i am to old i also took up for crowder at first but he has been out coached in that district. i know there is problems on that team starting with the parents are to close to that program and crowder alows them to be. hey you cant take championships away from a person but i dont think he is coaching his team to there ablities but he is a good coach. Also yes i am a coach not a wannbe coach.

Crowder is usually good during the tournament looking at his past record, but who knows. Antioch has no leadership once again except maybe the parents. Considering their being a very young team with no experience, I don't see them going very far this year.

This coach gets worse everytime i see them play. i know there guard play is horrible but this is starting to look like coaching. And the boys come to the side line and cuss and talk back to him and the parents cuss him out he better get control of the program or he will be history.

Good luck Pops. Keep me informed. Looks like Hillwood is going the way of their girls program. A lot of talk about talent, but no backing it up. There are some good players in the building, but they are not playing for whatever reasons.

who does overton have on there freshmen team i thought they where down this year. Also please post starters and height if you can.

With the athletes BA has it makes sense to play a lot of kids. The first title they won in this series of three was against Lausanne I believe. That team had King Dunlap, Brandan Wright as a freshman, Darren Musten, Holbert, Josh Bone, Barry Turner, and Theo Townsend: those guys are either playing football or basketball at BIG time schools. It made sense then and I don't see why it doesn't make sense now. They've obviously taken it to some of the best teams in the country with that approach. Bolivar Central won state last year.....BA won state last year.....BA beat Bolivar Central this year: Brandan Wright = better than Willie Kemp.

Aside from MBA, St. X, and Male who did Brian Brohm ever beat at Trinity? Dunbar isn't really good football. Nor is Danville or Paducah. Brian Brohm only played against easy teams and never accomplished anything in high school, despite the state championships he, like Brandan Wright, won for his team.

Pitts is a great coach i was just saying it is kids on that team that should not touch the floor with the talent they have Stallings son being one of them last night he nevered played his 5 best players at one time at all. Also i dont care what he has accomplished ole nollner out coached him last night like it or not.

Do some homework. He won two rings in AAA before coming to BA, has coached the US Junior team, and this team won two huge tourneys this season.

hey i am not saying he is a good coach i know he is mixing in players that should not even be close to playing on that team. and he is playing Div 2 right i dont think he would have 5 rings in AA or AAA. And everybody in the stands was saying last night that nollner out coached him so dont give me that crap about he knows his players it is still the ole boy network out there. if you no what i mean

Rouse and Graham played. Roberts was in street clothes, no word on when he'll return. WC played a great game everybody that stepped on the court played great. Ryan Lee played 4 big minutes off of the bench, hitting a clutch three in the 4th. Will Peters was big, everybody played a GREAT game. ROuse settled down after 2 quick fouls in the 1st quarter. Brandan had at least 5 dunks. He almost posterized 5'10" Ryan Lee(good effort though).

 

The little guard from BA has hops he got a dunk off a half court set.

 

It seemed like BA didn't turn their guards loose.....................they didn't take many shots.

to me BA coach played some games with the substions there was no way 12,22,3 should have touched the floor sometimes BA was playing 3 on 5 also you have to give it to Grahm he shut down Josh Bone the whole game. Did anybody else notice that BA never played there 5 best players at one time together.
