Yes congradulations to him. We payed them in a scrimmage and he is a tough charachter to guard. I agree with the clean stroke and handles parts and most definetly the ups that white boy can leap

I know one thing if UH beat Unaka i dont know how.I seen UH play in a Christmas tourney and they didnt impress me any.Unaka has a good team and plays Extremly hard.Unaka will be in a host a substate game.

We didnt play good down in that union county xmas tourney, but since then we have played really good ball. Don't underestimate us.

No. When your on and your shots are falling, your VERY good. I'm just saying University High plays a weak schedual, and that might, I'm not saying it will, but it, might come back and bite you deep into tourny-time. I respect Coach Gordon, and how he has turned a half-way decent team into a very good team in less than a year. Just don't let that 21-6 record go to your head.

Becuase he knows Unaka always comes to play come tournament time. Also Unaka has played state tournament caliber teams, like Temple, Cosby, Pickett County, and Clay County. UH, on the other hand, may have tied for 1st in the conferance, and does sport a 21-6 record; but, don't you think half the teams in 1A would have at least a 21-6 record if they played the weakest schedual in the state? And thats not personal opinion. Thats cold hard facts. Just look at the rankings. If UH played a schedual like Unaka's, you all would MAYBE have 11 wins. And no disrespect or anything I just find it hard how you think that.

No, they aren't @ Milligan. Unicoi and Johnson County were getting looks, but I think the only school that will let us have them is CD.... What a shame... I wish we could have them at Tusculum. Or for that matter, King's new facilities are real nice.

Josh Lowe has to be a lock for the MVP beacause of what he has done with this team this year. HIs leadership has payed off from building this team up since they only have 2 players from the State Champ Team in 2004 with him the only one with any playing time in a big game.

And what about the top 2 guards for us? #4 and #21. To me they put better #'s up and are consistant all the time and plus #32 for us shut lowe down both times.

Does anyone know where the districts will be played? Will it be at Milligan or Chuckey Doak? Seen on TSSAA that the Regionals will be at LMU. Long trip but nice facilities.

I didn't get to go to Johnson Co. to see how they did, I was wondering if they played as well as they did against Unaka. They looked pretty solid against Unaka and seemed to have worked on a few things that have been losing them close games. Looking at their record this team could finish up with a winning season or atleast at (.500). Tonight Unaka goes to Cloudland for a big game that will mix everything up. If Unaka wins they split for 1st with UH, but if Cloudland wins then UH gets sole possession of 1st its gonna be a packed house. So after this one and the Cloudland Hampton game on Friday I believe it will be anybody's guess of which one out of the four teams will come out on top in the district tournament. Coin tosses will decide seeds (which I don't agree with) but this year it doesn't really hurt anything because it will be a battle no matter who plays who between these teams.

I think hampton will finish out strong and win over cloudland. There good in there gym and have real good player that good get conference player of the year.

I hope to see a good game friday night in the dawg house. The conference race is still very close with Unaka only up by 1 game over UH with 2 games yet to play in the conference. Should Unaka might so happen lose one this week, them and UH would have a tie on there hands and the tiebreaker would probably go to UH because of their overall better record. So Boys it isnt no time to slack now, you havent won anything yet. Keep yuor eyes on the prize.....That 9th Conference Title.

i think hampton has a little more to play for than both unaka and university high... with a win over Unaka and UH this week people will not look at this year as a failure, like some have been looking at it. coach mcclain will have his boys ready to play this week hampton over u.h. by 6 and HAMPTON OVER UNAKA by 8...

Lay off the book keepers. I was the home book. University's book keeper showed integrity by bringing the discrepancy on the scoreboard to our attention, even though it cost her team two points in a very pivotal conference game. After checking both books we decided to change the score. Instead of bashing her you should congratulate her for being honest and take a lesson from it. Until the FACTS are known people should not jump to conclusions about things that happen and try to refrain from making unsavory comments to the press and the Press should refrain from writing stories based on their own hasty conclusions without first getting the true facts. BUT, then where would that get them, if they can't embellish their fiction then no one would read their paper, would they? No one wants to read the truth, it's not as entertaining. If a mistake was made then we, the book keepers, apologize.If it was a mistake it was an honest one and the decision was made by both of us to make the change. If we were not each in agreement the score would not have been changed regardless of whose points they were. Honesty is rare quality these days, don't blame your book keeper, she does a good job. If you must blame someone, blame me, just do it to my face. You know where to find me.......

Cosby will destroy Unaka. Unaka has no size downlow and just watch out for # 12 to drive hes good free throw shooter and then 32 is prob unakas best all around player. #50 post that can drive but stop him and hes not really a threat. I predict Cosby by 17.

Do you count cheating by not putting our score on the scoreboard correctly called an "awesome game" we will see who wins in a fair game where its not played @ snavely gym and maybe this time the scoreboard might be correct because we all know even the unaka fans knew they cheated us out some points.

I have to say UH might be in for quiet a surprise. Anyways this one should be a dandy to watch as this could be the clincher. I guarantee that the winner of this game will have deserved it. Just remember how difficult it is to play inside Snavely Gym with a packed house on hand. So UH bring your A game and oh yea i almost forgot, don't forget to bring your ties....

Can Unaka sustain the intensity that the Cloudland game called for? Tough to have two crucial conference games within days of each other especially when one lasted about 3 hours. I think they will have to come with their "A" game to beat UH. But got to consider Unaka will be on their home floor again.
