Hard_ball1, you are exactly right. It was not my intention, when I made the statement the game was "tainted", to in any way insinuate that the UCHS Lady Eagles played anything but a superb game. They played a great game. However, even a good clean glass of crystal clear, cold, sweet water can be "tainted" if something rotten is added to the glass. That was my statement. I meant in no way to insult the Lady Devils. So, if any of the Lady Devils are reading - listening in, I apologize to you. Everyone else, it's over, game won, State coming up. I'm sure we will meet there next week

Softballfever, you have my apologies. I am sure not all Unicoi fans are alike. I had the privilege of talking with some of them Wednesday night at the game. It is a shame when a few bad apples spoil the whole basket. Didn't mean to get so carried away that I lumped everyone in the same basket. I'll say it again, the Lady Blue Devils are a good team and played a good game. Regardless of what happend on the field and the final score Unicoi and Rutledge both have some good fans, and some who should stay home - or go to a game somewhere else. Good luck to the Ladies wherever the tournament takes them! Born to Agitate and love every minute of it! Got several of you on this one!

By the way softballmom11, Unicoi has so much power they made it rain for a couple of innings and then had it stop, so watch out and take your umbrella!

Unicoi, you have a great coach, and need to give him a big raise. He is good. You would be suprised hard-ball1 at all that old AGITATOR53 does know. Most good teams get to the field early to get a "feel" of the surroundings and start getting up for the game. What a novel idea of taking batting practice. Maybe Alcoa won't get there until just before the game. I'll bet they take their batting practice before they leave Alcoa, that way the game can start as they are getting off the bus! The outfield coaches are going to see another good game tonight! I'll wear my apron next year and help with that good ole home cookin!

DON'T LET THE GET IN YOUR HEAD THOUGH, THEY WILL START TAKING BATTING PRACTICE ON THE FIELD WHEN YOU GET THERE. GOOD PLOY ON THEIR PART. THEY ARE A GOOD TEAM. PARK AROUND THE OUTFIELD FENCE, CAUSE THAT'S WHERE A LOT OF THE HECKLING OF THE OPPOSING TEAM TAKES PLACE. SAD TO SAY IT'S THE "OLD TIMERS" OUT THERE DOING THE HECKLING AND NOT THE KIDS. MAKES YOU WONDER. GET 'EM ALCOA! YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE FACING ON THE BASES, IN THE FIELD, BEHIND THE CATCHER, AND MAKING "QUESTIONABLE" CALLS AROUND THE BASES. FROM WHAT I HEAR, THAT WASN'T THE CASE AT RUTLEDGE LAST YEAR. I'M TOLD THAT THE UNICOI FANS WERE UPSET BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T PARK AROUND THE OUTFIELD FENCE TO "INTERFERE" WITH THE GAME. YOU MUST HAVE BEEN SOMEWHERE BESIDES BEHIND THE BACKSTOP. I DON'T THINK THE COMMENTS TO THE CATCHER HAD TO DO WITH THE FENCE. UNICOI DIDN'T EARN EITHER OF THEIR RUNS. THEY WERE SCORED ON ERRORS. THE UNICOI GIRLS PLAYED WELL. HOPEFULLY THEY AND RUTLEDGE WILL GET TO PLAY ON A TRULY IMPARTIAL FIELD IN MURFREESBORO IN THE STATE. GOOD LUCK TO THE LADY BLUE DEVILS AS WELL. FANS STAY HOME!

Once again a good team gets put aside because of errors, bad calls, and redneck fans. Everyone else has to take officials from out-of-town, but not in Unicoi County. They use "HOME BOYS". The home plate official requires 4 stikes for Unicoi and 3 for Rutledge. He blocks Rutledge's catcher on fly balls. The field umpire can't see, and calls and out with the 2 winning runs on base from behind the players and can't see the play. Does anyone else have these problems at Unicoi? This isn't from a disgruntled parent, but a bystander who enjoys girl's softball. On to the fans. Where else can you find adult rednecks behind the backstop "heckling" the catcher, and adult rednecks around the outfield shouting obseneties at the girls? Come on! It's a game for the kids, not the adults. Let the girls play and stay out of it. Cheer your team on, but let the other team play their game as well. When is TSSAA going to make the trip to Unicoi County to view what goes on first hand? Unicoi girls played a class game. It's a shame they have to play in front of a bunch of adult-softball player-wannabees who don't think their team can win without their interferience and "BOUGHT OFFICIALS". Where else can you find a Regional game where the home team knows the officials by first name? Hopefully these two fine teams will meet again at the state tournaments in Murfreesborough on an impartial field with impartial officials. No wonder we have kids who will steal to get what they want when they have such fine examples to follow. Consider yourself AGITATED. See you around!

Just to set the record straight, Unicoi WON the game with Rutledge with a lot of help from the "BLUE CREW" and the usual rednecks behind the plate and around the outfield fence. Everyone else gets officials from out-of-town, but Unicoi has "HOME BOYS". Homeplate blocks Rutledge's catcher on fly balls, and field official calls like he's afraid he will get a trip to the railroad trestle like the elephant! Bad base calls, and horrible plate calls. Now, to the fans. Adults behind the backstop heckling Rutledge's catcher, and the outfield rednecks shouting their obseneties to the girls out there are ridiculous! These are kids playing a game, and the adults act like idiots. I don't have a kid on either team, just a fan of girl'softball. When will TSSAA travel to Unicoi to "evaluate" the situation up there. By the way, the Unicoi girls played a class game. It's a shame they don't have a good "home crowd" to play for.

splainshornet Lame? Lame? We checked with Rutledge's coaches, and they have dates open for next year. I am so happy to know that Rutledge will be playing you guys next year. Please let me know when you call and schedule your time to come up to Rutledge and show those teams how you big city teams play basketball. Come on up and show them, if you aren't too scared. My gut feeling is you don't have the "fortitude" to schedult with them. All talk and air, no substance. Show all of us on CoachT just how tough you guys are and schedule Rutledge. I'll call the coaches and put in a good word for you. See you in Rutledge next year. Just drive east on 11W and you'll come right by the school in case you don't know the way. Agitating is my life!

I've listened to all the comments, complaints, etc. from the fans of the teams Rutledge BEAT this year, and have come to a conclusion. There are a lot of crybabys in this district and region, and you appear to be one of them. Why don't you all just grow up and get over it. We BEAT you! You can cry about the calls, the officials, the weather, the price of eggs in China, and the cost of building a house in California. One thing remains constant, Rutledge BEAT you. Get over it. Why not practice and learn to play better, then next year you may be able to beat the Pioneers next year, if you try real hard! Consider yourself "Agitated"!
