1. Sorry to come in on the tail end of things...how has everyone been..hahah

Sorry this is the year Liberty fans should talk more crap after the game...as you know they still do have braggin rights till the Boro..

Sit tight bra...Liberty fans calmed down just like Bolivar fans did..

Soon err one will see who can really coach and who just had talent...sorry you guys haven't heardfrom me i know sobody misses my comments haha /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  2. QUOTE(montague1 @ Mar 18 2007 - 04:26 PM) 826416478No need to get all worked up.

Every time a team wins a state championship there are some people that question the program. KublahKD and VG are from the area, they are not the ones to argue with, they aren't really arguing at all.

IMO, Liberty is no different from Austin-East, some people just need excuses to lose.

I'm done. And Austin East coach should be shot for losing to Mitchell.

  3. QUOTE(VolunteerGeneral @ Mar 18 2007 - 04:16 PM) 826416462If you want to ask me that, I`ve talked to several kids that went to middle school with some of those kids and they knew where they lived. Jackson isn`t that big of a town ya know.

    Hear say.

I know no one moves. ever. all those boys went to Northeast. I guess they said lets all go to Liberty and in two years we'll win state

and the next year after too. That was the master plan. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

  4. QUOTE(VolunteerGeneral @ Mar 18 2007 - 04:13 PM) 826416460I don`t see why he is getting so worked up either Kublah. It`s prefectly legal for them to get kids out of their zone, Hence the magnet school.

by the way Hoops..you are right no one pays to go to Liberty, but just so you know there are a lot of kids that pay to go to a public school in Tennessee. Just not in Madison County.

im not talking about other counties.

And i don't care who's a magnet student..I know there are none on the basketball team..and they won because they were better

that whoever it is ya'll wanted to win.

  5. QUOTE(KublahKD @ Mar 18 2007 - 04:10 PM) 826416457Look, I don't want to start talking about peoples' houses on here. But, I've been to Brandon Evans's house, and it was on the other side of town. It's really a moot point though. I don't see why you're getting so worked up about it.

    So you are his buddy?

So he did not live in park trace?

why do you know where everyone lives.

so your team didnt win or you didn't make the team. which is it?

  6. QUOTE(KublahKD @ Mar 18 2007 - 04:05 PM) 826416451Brandon Evans. I know Bijon, and I don't think he ever lived in Liberty's zone. Once again, not that it matters, because LTHS did nothing at all wrong.

The "USJ/JCS" zone comment was a joke, notice the "haha."

Brandon EVans Lived in park trace with his brother.

Bijon lived in Liberty zone..he moved out of liberty zone before second semester...how do you know where all the zones are..is that your job?

Bijon lived in Chester co. then moved to Nashville...then moved back here so you kept track of him???

  7. QUOTE(VolunteerGeneral @ Mar 18 2007 - 03:58 PM) 826416442no..I`m not mad at all. You haven`t been around here too long. If you had been able to read my history of posting you would know that I fully support kids having more choices whether it be magnet schools, home schools, or private schools. It brings out competition for schools to compete.

I can't tell. I gather that you saying that Liberty has a successful basketball team because it is a magnet schooll..and you seem to be saying

that they had two seniors that were magnet students last year..and wer're talking bout this year. On top of that it wouldn't do any student any good to go to JCM to play any sports...considering the girs coach had players for four years and no turnaround..then the bpys coaching changes..at least 3 coach Lowe, coach Shaw and now whats his name...but i think he's doing his best.

QUOTE(FOOTBALLFAN1960 @ Mar 18 2007 - 04:01 PM) 826416446WRONG AGAIN! i know several who pay to go to Liberty..all athletics!! NOW TELL ME they were on the up n up thhe last 4 years, but none of yall will ever admit it..same with many others in state of Tennessee that should not be playing with public schools.. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

BULL...no one pays to go to a public school dim-wit.

  8. QUOTE(KublahKD @ Mar 18 2007 - 03:52 PM) 826416434Not that it matters, but I know two of the seniors from last year were magnet students...they both lived in JCS/USJ's zone haha. Is that area still zoned for JCM?

Bijon Jones moved from Liberty's Zone in Jan. 06 and who else? And just so you know the private schools don't have a Zone.

  9. QUOTE(VolunteerGeneral @ Mar 18 2007 - 03:48 PM) 826416431"Hundreds" of kids were magnet kids 4 years ago (not 6 like you tried to get people to believe) and a few of them were basketball players. It doesn`t matter because it was all on the up and up. Liberty is a magnet school and they are allowed to get kids from out of zone. Just like those four baseball players.

No im not trying to get anyone to believe anything..I corrected it on my thread..however you still haven't named the BASKETBALL PLAYERS other than hakeem Brice #10 (who is not still a magnet student cause he lives in the zone now). The only reason i said that is because a teacher told me thats about how many they got this year...but it was about 10 they enrolled this year...but I want to know who the magnet students are that are on the basketball team??

Or are U mad that whoever you know cant beat liberty or can't go to Liberty?

  10. QUOTE(VolunteerGeneral @ Mar 18 2007 - 03:30 PM) 826416413Not all the players live in Liberty`s zone. If they all do then some have moved since Liberty originally opened 4 years ago.

And as far as Hoops1st luv14`s post...

Four years ago when Liberty first opened there were hundreds, yes hundreds, of magnet kids enrolled. I do know what I`m talking about.

Also take a look at OnTheBall this month at the 4 baseball players who are seniors (the ones in the picture) and tell me how many of those are magnet students. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Don`t be so defensive. No one has accused Liberty of doing anything wrong. Liberty is a magnet school and they are allowed to get kids from out of zone. Someoe asked what kind of school Liberty was to start this thread and they are a magnet school. They have kids from all over Jackson going there. Them`s are the facts.

no one cares about baseball this is a basketball thread...the only player that was a magnet student was hakeem brice..now he is not.

and his family moved in liberty's zone..and do you know where all the players live??? and Im not talking avout Liberty's first year i am really talking about the last couple years sisnce they've been over crowded..still they are not on the basketball team..Im not defensive..you said they got players that should be going to JCM.

  11. Ok...I just got back in Jackson and all these comments about what type of school is Liberty?

So im going to tell you, that don't know. Liberty is a magnet school..(Liberty Tech Magnet school)..its a technology school.

That means that Nursing, Automotive and Agriculture are its main resources for students.

There are only 25 to 30 students enrolled in the magnet program this year..None of these students are on the boys

basketball team (they are all non athletes)..the coaches have no influence ,on which students come to Liberty, that apply to be a magnet student.

So Liberty Tech is not a private, tuition based, prep, or any other kind of school that can enroll anyone in the county.

All seniors have been at Liberty for all four years. Liberty won every game, every year, fairly. They earned everything by sweat

and determination...And I won't stand by and let anyone...NO ONE tarnish what they've accomplished. ever.

  12. QUOTE(smckinney @ Mar 18 2007 - 01:52 PM) 826416309I think Liberty is a good team and the coaches did an excellent job of preparing their team. HOWEVER, if the school is allowed to pull kids from across the county THEY SHOULD BE GOOD. I see that most are comparing this team to some of the Memphis teams and talking about how they "handled" Mitchell in the championship. Memphis has over 40 high schools in the city and the talent is sped out. Can you imagine what will happen if some of these teams had the advantage of Liberty to get the students they want. At BTW, 99% of our kids WALK to school, they are attending the school inwhich they are assigned and we still compete in all sports. Please don't think I am taking anything away from Liberty just wondering about the rules.

you don't know what you're talking about...Quit trying to justify Liberty's success by saying that they have the edge...they do it great coaching

and team work..these 7 seniors been at Liberty since they were freshmen...and no one knows the future.

  13. QUOTE(smckinney @ Mar 18 2007 - 01:52 AM) 826416038What type of school is Liberty? Are they public school, charter, prep, or tuition based?

Why dosent anyone know what a magnet school is???

There ar Magnet elementry schools all over jackson...Intermediate too

    why is everyone ignorant to the facts? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

  14. QUOTE(VolunteerGeneral @ Mar 18 2007 - 12:14 AM) 826415989Coacht had rather you just post things on existing threads. There are other Liberty threads that you could have posted this on. But no...you go and start 2 more threads. I`m a moderator on the football boards and thats one thing we are asked to do is try and keep like threads merged with each other.

    I think this guy does not care too much for Liberty. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

  15. And futhermore...when Liberty was built they did take all of the courts...(Lincoln) and the area around it ..where the twins live. that was part of Northsides zone. Then they split the area where the Winn twins lived around from my grandmother..cause I went to Northside too..and turned that into Liberty zone.

So before you even try to say Liberty didn't win fair and Square..do your research.

  16. QUOTE(VolunteerGeneral @ Mar 18 2007 - 11:03 AM) 826416171They are magnet...which means they can get their basketball players from JCM`s zone /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

    Talk what you know.

There are no magnet students on Liberty's basketball team. and futhermore they only enroll 6 magnet students a year...

Every starting player at Liberty has been there 4 years so don't whine now..you should have been complaining when they were

    losing three years ago.

  17. I would think that Mitchell had a better chance if they didn't blow it last year.

they had a way,way better team.

Sorry to say they have the same coach, and that my friend is their demise.

    Liberty by however many it takes to win. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

  18. QUOTE(FOOTBALLFAN1960 @ Mar 15 2007 - 10:17 PM) 826413626Transferred from Dyersburg ..had to sit out first half of school year before being eligible..THEIR names are Blake,Taylor,Kimble == just so you"ll know ..Dyersburg"s coach really messed up his chances for a state tourney bid..now hes on his way out(GONE) for being predigious to his own sons ann not playing his best players ..so they left to be able to play ball instead of riding the pines at DHS..Great for DC THO WOULDNT YOU SAY /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

so, three players from dyersburg "transferred" to dyer co.?

  19. Question...why weren't those three guys elgible the first half of the year. Blake Critter and the other dude? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
