1. QUOTE(wildcatrowdy @ May 17 2007 - 10:56 AM) 826461043I believe that Eddie Yah is a fictional character. He is a myth. Noone can be THAT good. Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, and Eddie Yah. He has become legendary on CoachT, but has anyone ever seen him play?

Must be a certified hater... only makes me better.... keep it up.

  3. QUOTE(BigG @ Mar 7 2007 - 09:19 PM) 826404113Didn't he graduate? For the life of me, I can't remember his name or screen name. I think he was a senior last season. I'd be curious to know if he went to play anywhere in college. Chizaggi, do you know anything about him?

"NUMBER8" did graduate last year and no he's not playing in college even thou he could have. He's at ETSU, but now that etsu is starting a soccer program in 2008, he might be trying out.

  4. QUOTE(BigG @ Mar 2 2007 - 08:40 PM) 826397540He was a rather mellow fellow last year... I believe it was one of his team mates that was a little less "mellow" (to use your choice of words). I can't remember his screen name...

Good luck this season, Chizaggi. You are a fun player to watch!

Thanks BigG, Good luck this season. You guys are always a team to contend with year after year.

Lion101 your point was a lil off, but I'll take it as it was given ( as a compliment) thanks.

  5. QUOTE(Monkey Wrench @ Mar 1 2007 - 07:07 PM) 826395623Winning scrimmages can be a huge confidence booster, but all in all they mean nothing

They are just scrimmages , but that doesn't mean that they don't mean nothing. Its not only a confidence booster aswell, it can also be a way of helping coaches know their team better, test their strength and weaknesses and other factors. We can agree to disagree, but I think the result of scrimmages indicates a lot and again base on the teams involve.

  6. QUOTE(OnThePitch @ Feb 19 2007 - 10:48 AM) 826378998Many posters put a lot of emphasis on how teams do in scrimmages? Why? Better coaches without egos, try lots of combinations to see what works and doesn't and some coaches do whatever it takes to win to say they won. If I was a coach, I would rather have a look at what I have so when the season starts, I am good to go. Scrimmages season is fixing to begin and some give so much power to it , I just don't see it , how about you?

Different teams look for different things in scrimmages. It all depends on what both teams are up to. I think scrimmage definitely shows what most teams are going to be like during the season, than again it can be misleading at times. I believe in the results of scrimmage base on the teams playing.

  7. QUOTE(ZORGON @ Feb 24 2007 - 05:45 PM) 826387447TOP 10 RANKINGS

    #1) FARRAGUT

    #2) HOUSTON

    #3) HENDERSONVILLE

    #4) CHRISTIAN BROTHERS

    #5) CAK

    #6) BEARDEN

    #7) KNOXVILLE CATHOLIC

    #8) BRENTWOOD

    #9) BAYLOR

    #10) FATHER RYAN

Where is that ranking coming from? Why is Farragut rank #1? I will personally put CAK at least 2 steps up, and Farragut definitely shouldn't be #1, unless of course it's ur school and u put them where u want.

We will be at the Southern Soccer Challenge in Alabama and Barry Redmond Tournament, which as I understand are very competitive tournaments. Am excited and can't wait. I think we face CBHS in first game at barry redmond.. mjuhb, any info on the Tournament of champions in Georgia? We will be there too but I don't know anything about that one

  9. With the exception of Makelele, all of Chelsea midfielders are massive attackers who are always running up front, so a player like Essien who can relax and break attacks and is extremely physical is the peice that chelsea needed to add to the puzzle. They have Drogba, Crespo and C. Cole playing for one spot and they just bought Shevchenko, Ballack, Solomon Kalou and Nigerian teenager Obi Mikel who are all some of the most priced players around, so its easy to say Essien will ride the bench, but really he wouldn't be on the bench. All of these players that are coming in are all 250% attacking-minded and none is as physical as Essien.

  10. Brazil will not win it again. Michael Essien is not overrated by any means. Ivory Coast's Drogba came to chelsea for a little under $45 million while Essien came in for a little over that plus Thiago( probably worth around 13 million), and Drogba gets more criticism from fans questioning his worth, while Essien was considered the perfect signing by most after just few games in Che;sea shirt. Drogba didn't do bad his first season afterall and did even better last year scoring good goals. Essien got 1 goal, but he must be doing something right to be new and be a consistant starter, considering a speedy highly-priced Wright-Phillips and many more are on the bench.Doubting Ghana attacking power is a gamble, considering how many very talented unknown players u don't hear about until those big tourneys. Most people around here don't follow african leagues and its hard to have any idea whats coming your way when playing african teams..(just ask France about it). I think Ivory Coast is the best african team going into this world cup, but Ghana will do better in this tournament.

  11. Settle down people.. SH has all rights to schedule this game, but as far as sportmanship goes, things can be work out. No need to start targeting our coach and program with words. We've agree to play the game at 10:00 AM. Great News huh!! Now lets go play :thumb:

  12. Wait didnt MW beat you all 1-0 but you have room to say DB wins this one....

Yes, MW beat SH, but we are talking about DB/WM here. You can say DB is better than SH if you want, but my prediction is DB is gonna win. You should Just hope am wrong.

  13. Haha. How can u like playing MW when they have beat u guys 2 times in a roll on your home field? It sounds like you are off in your own little world!

SH beat MW last year in regular season, and MW came and won when it did matter in the post season. This season MW has won in regular season, lets see how it all goes down with Region championship on the line on Thursday. That is if SH and MW both win tomorrow.

  14. Both teams are good, but DB should get the edge on this one. DB looks more attacking minded than Mo.West. Mo.West has some talent in their front line, but D-B has more potential in their attack. D-B should win by at least 2 or more goals.

  15. Lampard is a good player, but I don't think it should be much of a problem replacing him with Ballack, if needed. I think Ballack is a far better player. Lampard can have those good games sometimes, but I personally don't think he's up there with Ballack and many others that he's often being compare to.

  16. I don't think its right to have a topic as someone's name with some dirty posts while using it to discuss coaches behavior among others. BIG g, WOULD YOU PLEASE CLOSE THIS ONE AGAIN?
