1. whats going on over there at lebanon did yall get some injuries or what

We had several a couple of weeks ago, but they're mostly healed up now. Really can't explain what's happening right now. I really don't think its much that a good offensive day couldn't cure. We've had about 3 games like the one you described tonight. Murphy's Laws have definitely been affecting us lately.

Blackman and Warren Co are idle...

Some serious scoreboard watching this weekend.... I am charging up my cell phone /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Cookeville 13, Lebanon 1. Not much to say about this one. Cookeville scored 8 runs off of 3 pitchers in the 1st inning and closed it out with a 3 run homer by Reeder in the 5th. Tomorrow is a new day!

    Race at a glance: http://www.riverdalewarriors.com/baseball/series-matrix.pdf

The Blue Devils lose at Warren County tonight. Warren County scores 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th after the 1st batters made outs. I really think Lebanon could be hard to handle if they ever put 7 complete innings together in a district game.

  4. Blue Devils 3

    Blaze 2

Exact same score as last night but reversed. Two very good games. Good job by both teams.

Baseball is a crazy game! Last night we get 10 hits, but strand 10 and score 2. Tonight we get 3 hits, but make the most of it and score 3. It is looking like the District tournament is going to exicting.

  5. Lebanon had a big win over McEachern High School out of Georgia tonight 5-1. Great game all around by the defense and they swung the bats very well. If riverdale man was a blue devil fan he would say... "GRATE GAME BY MY BLEW DEVILES!"

The Blue Devils went 2 - 1 on Saturday. Game 1 vs Coffee Co Lebanon wins 16 - 3. Game 2 vs Goodpasture Lebanon loses 10 - 5 or 6. We were leading by 1 run in the 6th, but things didn't end up so well. Game 3 vs Franklin Co Lebanon wins 6 - 0. The Blue Devils finished 3 -1 in the Tullahoma Invitational. Really hit the ball good all weekend and got good pitching, 3 complete games.

  6. http://www.riverdalewarriors.com/baseball/standings.pdf

    Today's Games:

    Cookeville (5-2, 8-6) at White County (0-7, 3-8) (D)

Who and Where does everyone play this weekend?

Riverdale is at Centennial and at Shelbyville Saturday.

Lebanon plays two at Coffee Co on Friday and two at Franklin Co on Saturday. Not sure of exact schedule, but they play Coffee Co Friday and Franklin Co Saturday. Also play Good Pasture and a team from Georgia.

  7. I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO THANK LEBANON FOR THEIR VERY KIND MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR JORDON THEY HAD HIS PARENTS OUT THERE AT THE MOUND HONORING HIM AND I THANK YOU...

most people know that when these 2 teams meet it is usually very heated this is a great example of sportsmanship that people dont realize between the lines its on but outside of that these are high school boys playing a sport for their respected schools and these are parents that love their children very much and love the boys on the teams so THANK YOU for your support

    GO WARRIORS

It was a great moment. These teams have had their differences in the past, but there was definitely a good vibe during this. All of the players from both teams circled around the mound with his parents. You could just feel something in the air during the moment of silence, carrying over into the nationa anthem.

    correction: Siegel (3-1, 9-3) at Blackman (3-1, 8-3) (D) is now

    Blackman (3-1, 8-3) at Siegel (3-1, 9-3) (D)

    Cookeville (3-1, 6-4) at Oakland (3-1, 10-3) (D)

    Lebanon (2-2, 11-5) at Riverdale (2-2, 9-5) (D)

    Warren Co (1-4, 5-9) at White Co (0-5, 3-6) (D)

Please call in scores in progress and finals...

The Blue Devils beat Riverdale 4 - 3 in 10 innings. It was a nail biter, with Lebanon coming from behind twice. A great ballgame by both teams. Another one of those that neither team deserved to lose. Lebanon tied it at 2 in the bottom of the 7th. Riverdale goes up 3 - 2 in the 10th. Blue Devils scored 2 in the 10th to win it.

  9. I have a hunch this is going to be a barnburner season - Siegel 11 - Lebanon 10 - Final

In first two weeks of district play we have had seven one-run games.....

This game was unbelievable! Siegel goes up 8 - 0 after 1 and a half. Lebanon scores 8 in the 2nd and 3rd. Lebanon goes up 10 - 8 in the 5th, I think. Siegel scores 3 in the top of the 7th. Both teams fought hard. It was a shame either team had to lose. It was a very competitive game, but not too pretty. 12 errors between the two teams and probably one of the worst umpired games I have ever witnessed. Sorry in advance Riverdaleman! But the truth is the truth. You know things aren't going well for the umps when both head coaches and one assistant coach are all on the field arguing about the exact same play! Probably 5 incorrect calls, not including balls and strikes. I expect both of these teams to make some noise before this year is over.

Is Rusty Harriman still teaching in Lebanon? If memory serves me, he taught Trigomometry and worked with baseball. Please let me know.

    May have been a hindcatcher.

Last word we got in these parts was that he had resigned from baseball and was considering the possibility of moving to Alaska to try and start a baseball team in some small town in the mountains that didn't even have enough flat ground to build a field on. Sounds kind of like an "if you build it, they will come" situation to me. He is definitely not teaching Trigomometry any more! The job pays the same to teach the easier math. Him and his daughter were recently in a head on collision on West Main and got shook up pretty good. The daughter got the worst end of it, but she is OK now. /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

  12. Riverdale is doing pretty good we won the tournament in Lousiville which had 64 teams in it although we didnt finish the tournament (rain) we was a top 4 team and we won due to runs allowed so we have a good team that is coming together we need some of the young kids to step up and contribute so it will be intresting to see how things shape up

    GO WARRIORS

Lebanon came in 3rd in the Dizzy Dean High School World Series in Starkville and Columbus Mississippi. There were 32 teams from Mississippi, Louisana, Tennessee and I think Alabama. They were two outs away from playing for the championship with a two run lead when things kind of fell apart. But, they made a great showing. Hitting several home runs and actually had the locals predicting they would upset defending champ Tupelo in the finals. A serious injury sort of shook them up. One of their returning senior pitchers broke both bones in his ankle sliding into second during the quarter final victory. From what I've heard, they played the best ball a Lebanon team has played in several years.

  13. QUOTE(coachsmith81 @ May 10 2007 - 10:33 AM) 826456407If memory serves me correct your own coaches pick all district teams. And if this is the case then how do you in your right mind snub a Jr. SS who has made plays all year long that most people could not make on their best day. Hits the game winning 2B to put you in the region and goes 9 for 11 in the district tournament. Something is not right with this picture.

One possibility could be that "all district" is based on the regular season and is selected before the district tournament starts.

  14. QUOTE(cbm155 @ May 10 2007 - 10:31 AM) 826456403First I want to say great job Cavaliers. And now, is this right? Cookeville plays a

double header today.....blackman first then oakland. Go Cavaliers!!!

No! Cookeville plays one game against Oakland for the district championship and then plays next in the regional no matter what. Win and you host, lose and you're on the road. Our district tournament is actually set up as two separate 4-team double elimination tournaments. The two winners meet in a one game championship. Cookeville and Oakland are the two winners. The tournament bracket and format are all on Riverdale's website. Mr. Limbaugh puts the link on almost every post he makes.

  15. QUOTE(blue14devils @ Apr 19 2007 - 11:38 PM) 826441582my knowledge on umpin is pretty good i have watched 26 games this year soo i know if our umps stink or not but thanks anyways.

Weren't you up a little late on the night before a big game?
