i agree with that. it wasn't the best feeling playing against franklin and seeing riverdale cheering for franklin... but that was their choice. congrats for making it this far.

I'm def. pulling for Siegel... although I think their quarterfinal is going to be tough.

Greeneville played Farragut, Bearden, Collierville, CAK, Dobyns-Bennett, Oak Ridge and Hendersonville and I've seen Siegel play at Katie Hunter - I have to agree.

Thanks... I'm afraid I don't know much about Franklin this year. We usually schedule them in the regular season, but for some reason we didn't this year. I know they're a strong team, which can be expected every year from them, but what specifically does anyone know about Franklin..?

i'm surprised with so many leading toward hendersonville... is that because siegel might have a harder quarterfinal game or what? with a 3-0 win over hendersonville early in the season seems crazy not to at least consider siegel...

There was no difference in the Baylor and CPS game, from the Houston game, other than wanting it. Shelton has said it before, "our greatest enemy is ourselves." No player made a huge difference in the games; it was heart. In the first two games, Siegel's touches and passes were horrible, and they didn't step up for a single 50/50. It was obvious that none of them wanted it, and that changed in the Germantown game. Shelton had a great talk before the game, and everyone was actually focused, and wanted it badly. That was clear just from watching Siegel's defense in front of their goal. No bashing on Prescott, because she's a great assest to the team and a wonderful player, but Siegel is a much more versatile team than to be dependent on one player for an entire outcome of a game.

wow great post mcnine. i don't agree with people saying you would get a lot of backlash.. but that's just me. i completely agree with you, wish these boys and coaches could have seen this early on. however, i still support my stars 100% and am extremely proud of them for a great season.

Why do you say that "we" screwed it up??? I believe Whites Creek played a great game. They were much more athletic. If anyone screwed up yalls season it was Whites Creek.

of course we screwed it up. both teams played sloppy. they wanted it more, yes, but they are not the better team. as someone stated already, they played the better game, but they are not the better team. to be honest, if they were much more athletic, with all the calls in their favor and with how lousy we played, shouldn't they have beat us by more than 4 points?

well Murfreesboro is 30 minutes away there was a soccer game at oakland......baseball practice........tennis practice and other people work so it would have been hard for most of our fans to get there. Thats my point.

sounds like (as you guys would say) EXCUSES. your team is in the state tournament. enough said. greenville didn't have a problem bringing fans at 7, and they were picked to loose and were a lot farther away.

well i'd thought 2priceless hasn't been on any siegel posts recently and i could've sworn i'd seen oaklandpats. i may be wrong, and that's fine, but either way i don't feel like arguing about it. it's been a long and dissapointing night so i shall be catching up on sleep.

It was tough to watch...Ramsey played hard, but couldn't box out. Too many turnovers. Oden had a tough night against WC's guards. At least the game was close. If WC had shot better at the free throw line, it would have been a double digit loss.

i agree, it was extremely tough to watch. this was our year, and we screwed it up.

i dont support siegel because of all the trash talking and things theyve done to oakland. if it was riverdale i wouldve been right there in that student section.

i personally didn't think we played anywhere near as bad as we did tonight in last year's semis... but that's just me. i read the article that was written today and oden said "we have to play four quarters of basketball..." and quite frankly... that wasn't the case tonight

heres a tip for you ... if riverdale blows it again in 06-07 you might wanna go with oakland this time instead of siegel to root for.

Nothing they can say.......funny they beat Shelbyville and Whites Creek earlier this year. Now look who is in the semifinals and Siegel isn't........

siegel making excuses... you can't say one person makes excuses for siegel and so we all do. i'll admit it. we did NOT play like a elite eight team tonight. and this is one of the first times i've seen... that we couldn't play when it mattered the most. congratulations to shelbyville and good luck.
