  1. Nashville's top five freshmen (public schools only) that I have seen so far. 1. Michael Mc Adoo-Antioch © 2. DeAunte Mason-Pearl Cohn (PF) 3. Josh Henley-Hunters Lane (SF) 4. Michael Williams-Antioch (SG) 5. Kyle Upton-Antioch (PG) Best team-Antioch (avg. 72 points per game, 6 minute quarters) Best game to see in 05-(Antioch at Pearl-Cohn) or (Pearl-Cohn at Antioch)
  2. Gomab, Why is the whole scenario crazy? Didn't u have a team a few years back that participated in the Nationals but didn't advance out of the state? I remember Stokley asking u the same question and your reply was "a crazy scenario". I'm sure u know AAU quailfying procedures better then u are letting on. The reason why the Y and Stars aren't playing in the state is B/C they are required to play in the Nike tournament in New Orleans this weekend, which conflicts w/the AAU State tournament. Both played in their sub-states and knew in advance that they couldn't play in the state. Since the Travelers hadn't played AAU in years, where were the Ballerz? And will u explain to me how after one year AAU's only meaningfully tournament is the 17:u? Didn't the Ballerz obtain their automatic bid by playing in the 16's last year? FYI, all of AAU's sub-states, states and national tournaments are sanctions events.
  3. I'll take Henry Harris in a heartbeat! Jamont brings way too much baggage and will have trouble getting in college. What a waste talent!!!
  4. Now you see what bragging can do for you! Win a substate then you can brag. If it's not the players then it's must be coach! Coach, are you going to blame the players like you did last year for your own coaching failures? Question of the day? How can a team win a 18U tournament but can't advance out of the 16U sub-state. Answer. By being overrated and poorly coach by a guy who doesn't have a clue about basketball and who can't control his own players as demonstrate by the kid with the braids who took off his uniform during a game. Did I hear someone say Jerry Green or Tony Harris? Next up! The dusting off of Team Tenn 15U and 17U in the their substate tournament. Thanks to the Ballerz and Coach McBee's Bullets for sending them back to Nashville to wipe their tears away.
  5. Final scores from Saturday morning 15 & Under North Central Sub-State. Franklin Rage 69 Nashville Stallions 60 Tennessee Thunder 72 Crosstown Wildcats 63 Saturday evening games are: Nashville Wildcats vs Crosstown Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. and Murfreesboro Stars vs Nashville Stallions at 4:30 p.m.
  6. I guess! When I called I was told up to ten teams one day to six on another day. But, I was never told that this sub-state was in danger of being cancel. Besides, I seen tournaments with only three teams to participate and they weren't cancel. I did hear that the Mottep Panthers, Team Tennessee, YAB among others ran from this Sub-State once they heard the M'Boro Stars were coming to beat them in their on backyard. They can run, but they won't be able to hide!!! My hat is off to the Franklin Rage, Nashville Stallions, Tennessee Thunder, Nashville Wildcats and Crosstown Warriors for not dodging and weaving, running and hiding. The only way too beat the best is too play the best.
  7. Murfreesboro Stars defeated Franklin Rage 101-61 in the 15 & Under North Central Sub-State. Brandon Wright and Keith Ramsey scored 20 points each. The Stars will take on the Nashville Stallions tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. at Pearl-Cohn High School in Nashville. Also, Tennessee Thunder beat Nashville Wildcats 77-74. G-Man, which little bird told you this sub-state was going to be cancel. They have more teams in this sub-state then what you have in the 17U North-Central sub-state. By the way, I just heard Mid-State beat the overrated Nashville Stallions 91-90, is this true? I hope my little bird is not as bad as yours. If so, congratulation. 8. Brandon Wright and his AAU Murfreesboro Stars team will be playing this weekend in the 15U North Central Sub-State in Nashville at Pearl-Cohn High School. Go check him out, then let us know what you think..... Brandon is as good as advertise.
  9. As much as u know about AAU basketball in the Mid-State area, how could you be wrong? Sometimes it helps to check your facts. The teams are: Murfreesboro Stars, Nashville Stallions, Tennessee Thunder, Nashville Wildcats, Franklin Fury and Crosstown Warriors.
  10. In basketball in means FOUL!!! But not in Memphis.
  11. 13 year old Thunder Classic results. 1. Gold-Williamson Co. Wildcats 2. Silver-Alabama Stallions 3. Bronze-Tennessee Thunder Good job Coach Tidwell!!!
  12. My vote for AA Mr. Basketball goes to Brandon Harriford of Nashville's Hume-Fogg Magnet High School. Based on leadership abilities, clutch scoring, rebounding, ball hawking style play on defense and getting his teammates involved into the flow of the game. Brandon continues to grow and is getting better and better each game he plays.
  13. Good coach, decent team. They finished fifth/sixth in the AAU 17U Central South Sub-State Tournament. 1. Tennessee Thunder (Gold) 2. Columbia Bullets 3. Tennessee Thunder (Select) 4. Mid-State Ballerz
  14. Jeffdeg45, Not to get in the middle of this dispute, but the Columbia Bullets will be hard to beat. The Tennessee Thunder Select team is not the only team you should focus on. The Columbia Bullets shouldn't be taking lightly by anyone. They will be at full strength with Trenton Poynter, Casey Holt and Coach McBee will be at their side. The Bullets will suprise a few, just as they did in the South Central sub-state. The Rockets aren't returning (blast off aborted), Mid-State Ballerz (weak and pityful, where's the talent?), Tennessee Thunder Gold (weren't ready) and Murfreesboro Nets (way off) all fail misery in their attempts to advance to the state championship. Who can stop a speeding Bullet? Superman, but he will not be in Memphis during the 17U state tournament. Also, what place did the Nashville Hawks finish in the North Central sub-state, what other team advance with them and who were the other teams in the tournament? Please respond ASAP.
