Halls led the whole game with I think number 27 on the mound for most of the game for them. In the 3rd Lance Cambell hit a 3run homer to take a 3-1 lead. Halls made 3 errors that game them 3 runs. Top 7, lucas hits chopper to 3rd base. Makes an arrant throw, Burke come to back up and throws to 2nd. The field ump calls him safe. Ooltewah's coach come out to get a call. lol and the homeplate ump only explanation on the play is that he overturned the call from HOMEPLATE on a play to second. I know I umpire and you do not due that especially on a call with two good teams playing in the top of the 7th in a 5-4 game. Bottom line Halls should of won that game and I cant sit here and say that we would tied the game up, but I feel pretty confident with him standing on 2nd with no outs and our hottest hitter coming up that something good was going to happen. They brought, im guessing Howard to close it out. Ooltewah has a good team. Burke is a player, good luck to him. Halls Soph Gary Cooper pitched the best game of the season for him. I think they only had 6 legit hits. Burkes ball to center should of been caught. Owell It was an exciting game just too bad the umpires had to make a gutless call like that to totally take us out of that game

We are going to Chattanooga this weekend so we will see how that fares. I rolled my ancle and will probally be out until District Tourney time. That is really disappointing, but there is nothing I can do but REHAB as hard as I can and Lead the team from the dugout.

We did bring back some hardware!! I mean Runner-up isnt what we were looking 4 but we were facing a 1st rounder and hit him pretty good. The second year we just underachieved and things just didnt go our way. Last year, Im convinced we had the best team in the state, things just didnt fall our way. Coach P is a good coach. nuff said

Striper you are correct. I don't care what kind of talent you have, if a team's made two consecutive trips to the Spring Fling, then there's some coaching involved.

Buddy you saying coach Polston can't coach is abosolutly ignorant. Coach Polston only makes the line-up card and calls a sac bunt here and there. He is not swinging or throwing. He can only put us in a position to win. Botton line. So people need to quit bashing Polston bc If im not correct I believe he has about 100 or so wins in the last 3 years. Not toooooooooooo shabby. And yes Coach Taylor is a good one. Played 1 summer with him and he really knows Baseball

DB has like 25oo students! My aunt lives up there and both her kids went to DB. She told me that they have went to Virginia line and try to get kids to zone to DB to play sports. Im not saying that is wrong bc that crap goes on all around. the school is twice as big as mine and alomost 2 times the students. Alot more arms to pick from!!

Ooltawah people do not need to be freaking out. Freak things are going to happen to good teams. Halls has lost back-to-back nights to Gibbs(havent lost 2 in 4 years) and then Clinton (havent lost 2 in 4 years) and I beleive we have almost runruled them everytime over those 4. Red Bank is a good team. Thats our prob right now, we cannot win down in the pitching rotation ginst good or bad teams right now. We will come out of it, you cannot go any lower and we had a team meeting and aired some things out. Ooltawah has a good team and a good chance at state! So does Halls. Lots of season left

I umpire in a USSAA leage at our community park and I think you cannot turn 16 untill the first day of the leauge. Im pretty sure that is the rule but i cannot give you 100% answer

Coach Sievers changed his arm angle and his elbow and shoulder didnt agree. He got bad tendonitis is his bow and shoulder. I have talked to him periodicly and he is getting a MEDICAL REDSHIRT. He will be back next year. He is not on the roster. He went up there as a pitcher.
