I'm not sure of really any options that could just step in. Not even sure who all has applied. But at this point in the year timing will be a key element because coaches currently coaching are doubtful to leave. Whitlock I hear isn't interested in head coaching but will help be an assistant. You would think that they will try to pry away David Martin if the can pull him back home but evidently he is sitting on a young crop of talent with a couple of talented move ins. With every starter returning this year from an expected rebuild year last year i'd say it would be hard for him to leave. But he does have family on the team and i know he eventually wants to come back home. Phillip King I would think would be another name to watch but not sure of his situation since he stepped down from Tullahoma. He is an established experienced head coach who is also a hometown guy. This would be another good hire if he is interested. Or maybe there is another out of town guy im not thinking of they could bring in. Nonetheless, it could be an interesting situation to monitor.

Killian will be able to pitch. Maybe relief at first, then starting soon. So Warren co. will be fine with starting pitching

First all, the man never played at a level that Warren Co. coaches played. That means a lot about knowledge of the game on how to teach and run a program. Also, of course the program will be down a little after this season with those guys leaving. There are about 7 or 8 seniors that start leaving and they are good players. It has nothing to do with Parker. Just let him run his program at Cascade where he is happy and leave it at that. By the way, Warren Co. won 6-2 without throwing killian or rogers.

I think that everyone will be surprised with Warren Co. swinging the bat this year. They looked to be swinging it pretty good the other day. I think they definetly have the offense to get it done. Tough district. Just have to see.

Really tough to pick this district this year. Anybody from 1-4 could come out on top this year.

1. Riverdale- have to beat the best to be the best, lot of experience with Hunter, Choate, and Wright being three year starters, Richardson and Powers 2 year starters, and Jones got some valuable playing time last year when Underland was on the hill, and then Skinner will be quite a pleasant surprise, and Woods can be huge for this team if he can get some clutch hits in the DH spot and get some valuable innings on the hill. 2nd base and the number 2 spot has to be an issue for Coach Powers.

 

2. Oakland- lot of pop in this lineup with Polk, Burnett, Barnes, Fann, and Dodd. also have a solid number 1 in Barnes.

 

3. Siegel- great defense and possibly best pitcher in district in Roberts. scoring runs could be an issue.

 

4. Warren Co.- great 1,2 combo in Killian and Rogers. interested how many runs they will put on the board

5. Blackman- great coaching and Cole will get them some wins, Davenport needs to be big this year

 

6. Cookeville- i think they lost something like 11 seniors? will be tough for them to have a good year even with Crossman.

 

7. Lebanon- need to play some solid baseball to make up for their lack of talent.

 

8. White Co.- have to earn some respect before you can put them out of the 8 spot.

Well Riverdale took one under the chin toinght Lincoln COunty beat them 11-6 Hunter hit a homerun and someone from LC hit a bomb. Another good scrimmage that our coaches willl bea ble to use to help make the team better

Jv plays at 7 oaks tromorrow and varsity plays at home at 600 or 630 not sure what time it is the Rutherford county Jamboree will be playing at most high schools and on friday and saturday

Warren County thumped Lincoln County 11-3 the other night. Looked good
