1. QUOTE(workinprogress @ Feb 19 2007 - 06:07 PM) 826379714Oh I agree that they should have better things to worry about. They should have known that parking would be an issue and will be this week too. I also agree that it should be Haynes and JFK in the championship game. Havent seen Haynes play a whole game yet but their guard is really good. Seems like he definately carries his team. Should be a good game, just depends on which team is on that night. I think that if these two played ten times it would be an even 5-5.

Haynes and JFK should meet in the championship, that will be a good game. JFK has good guard play as well as Haynes.

  2. QUOTE(Flame123 @ Feb 19 2007 - 03:57 PM) 826379526Mt. Juiet is the better team. They have some attitude problems and you don't know what team you are getting when it comes to them but if they pressure Central then it is a done deal. If they get into a half court game then Mt. juliet will struggle because of Central size. Central guards can't handle pressure and if you press them then Cnetral posts are forced to handle the ball which they are not good at doing.

This has definitley been a weird tournament this year. Central in the finals is very suprising. However, if Mt. Juliet shoots the ball like they shot against Blackman then they will win by 20. This game will be no contest if Mt. Juliet presses!

Central is not going to be able to handle MJ power forward, the Central kids are big but he is a beast...He will be the difference along with Central not being able to match up with the shooting guard, he is to quick.

  3. The Thunder finished 11th in Div. II.

The Bearcats went 2 and 1 in pool play and then lost their first game in bracket play. They then won two games in bracket play prior to being eliminated.

I believe that the Memphis Stallions were the highest placing TN team in Div. I. They finished 10th.

Based on the website it seems the Thunder had a very good tournament. They reached the final eight. They won all of their pool play games and then won several close games after that. They were one win away from reaching the final four. The Stallions did very well as always. They did very well in pool play and then won some good games. They had the opportunity to place 6th. Congratulations to the Stallions and the Thunder.

I saw an earlier post that stated the Junior toppers were the winners in Knoxville Substate, the Ragin Rhinos were second and the Tarheels third..What happened to the Junior toppers ?

  5. Thanks for responding.

Is this Bearcats team the same team that traveled down to Knoxville last year to play in the Sub State? I was with an older group last year but I seen a Bearcats team play and they're good. So fill me in.

It may have been the same team, I heard that they went to Knoxville last year in the Substate but did not make it out..They played in the Division 2 state and not division 1.

  6. The Bearcats are the most overrated team in the city of nashville. Probably the most overrated in the state. Probably the most overrated in the country. There coach shows alot of favortism. They are going to take a spankin in the state tournament. If they want to place in the national tournament, they better hope AAU creates a Division III tournament for them and all the other overrated teams. They want make it to the finals in the state tournament.

Why do you think the Bearcats are overated ? It probably will be rough for them to make it to the finals..The Stallions and the 13 yr old War Eagles are serious teams...I am not sure about the Knoxville Teams..Why did the Bearcats not play in the 12 under Div 1 state last year. They played Div 2 but then went to Div 1 Nationals.

  7. Young Vols (East)

    Knoxville Elite (East)

    Clarksville Stars (Central-North)

    TN Thunder (Central-North)

    TN Bearcats (Central-South)

    Memphis War Eagles 12u (Central-South)

    Memphis Stallions (West)

    Memphis War Eagles (West)

You probably have to go to Memphis Stallions-TN Bearcats in the championship game

What team came in first in the Central South ? Was the championship close ? How many teams ? Where did each team finish ?

  8. I have seen him. They were in a tournament early in March. He caught me completely by suprise. The beat a very good TN Bearcats team in the championship and he did most of the damage. He's definitely got skills.

I agree the kid is an awesome talent...He handles the ball well, has a nice stroke..

  9. Mt. Juliet M.S., I agree he is the most developed big man I've seen at this age. He could make a impact on a really good team. The Trojans dont have the guards to really feed him and get him involved..Good teams will just take him away and let the Trojan guards beat them.

I did not think he played for Mt Juliet Middle, I saw them play once and did not see him..I thought it was some where in Lebanon...

  10. Just wanted to know what happened in Clarksville this weekend with the 13s

    1. Clarksville Stars

    2. Tn Thunder

    3. Gym Rats

    4. Clarksville Soldiers

The top two teams qualified for the Div 1 State...The Stars and Thunder, the Stars beat the Thunder in championship today.
