Been holding off a bit on this one gathering some info on LC. My guess, Greenback leads at half, stretches it by end of 3 and clock will run before the 4th is over. Any of you Greenback folks disagree my cold drink bet is open to all takers.

would have liked to had a cold drink but will have to agree.

I am not a Greenback fan, heck I don't even know where it is. But reading through this single A board made me realize that you and a couple of your buddies are dumber than a box of rocks. Tou are so stupid, you sit on the T.V. and watch the couch.

sit on the TV and watch the couch. LOL  Please tell yo do not  have a patent on that because that is best I have heard since "don't know weather to wind my butt or scratch my watch

Glad he is back. He has been injured a lot during H.S. . Hope he stays healthy all year.

Also noticed that Thaxton was not dressed or even there that I seen.  I was told he was not on the preseason roster.  I figured he would be one of their top receivers this year. He can jump like a deer.

yep  I was there. Loudon is going to throw the ball a lot.  Meigs  to me did not look that good.  But still early and may have not gotten into form  yet.

No sir, I believe the key words are "the use of influence on a student or the parents or guardians of a student". What constitutes influence? Are we speaking of benefits gained by attending said school or could pointing out a schools colors just happen to match the same color as little Johnnys favorite color, maybe that cool turf field is something little Johnny thinks if awesome instead of a muddy grass one, or a particularly cool jumbotron in the end zone? Maybe it's just the cool paint job on the field on Friday nights or the dozens of tailgaters in the parking lot every home game. All these things listed could, in theory, influence a student or parent/guardian to prefer one school or another. I believe the spirit of the rule is influence in the form of benefits either gained or lost based on attending one school over another. For me to speak to a student or their parent about the type of example our HC is to young men or how cool our tailgaters are is, in my mind, sharing positive information about our school not the use of influence. Just my take but I'm pushing Sam's cola in a Coke world anyway.

I usually respect alot of your posts but the comment "im sure everyone is doing their part to see it happen" is down right disrespectful to me,nation, gfd,LK and our other posters not including our staff.I know for a fact our coaches wont even talk to families, they send them straight to the priciple or AD.You guys arent getting the fact we are small and our laundry is aired and these folks know we dont have 60 or even 40 kids on the sidelines and the 5A school 15 miles from here is terrible,4A Seq is 12 miles and terrible,LC 15 miles.Parents want the kids to be successful PERIOD!Folks are coming because they want to be here.It takes more than luring for a family to pull up roots and sell out to move here.I dont blame them its a great small school and a wonderfull community. Its gonna keep happening, like i said we have to own it.But to accuse us of luring because we put a great product on the field and classroom is wrong my friend.

  7. As a member of the press there to take photos for the local new paper I was on the side line within 10 feet of this play. The defenders hand actually touched the face mask as he was trying to defend, Good call. didn't really matter game was already decided.  I have been covering high school spots in Loudon County for the paper since 2005.  A lot of these officials have become very good friends of mine and are very good and honest people. Everybody has a bad day. Many time over the years they there has been questionable calls and a lot of the times during a halftime or time out they come to me and ask if I got a photo of that and did they miss it. If they got it wrong they feel bad about it and if they got it right they just say thank you and they even say thank you if they were wrong because they do not want to be wrong. I tell them all the time that just remember that the naked eye sees 1/50 of a second. My camera sees 1/1000 or more a second, That's 20 times faster depending on the lighting of the stadium. That's why you have replay review in college and pros. The game is so fast now you can't depend on real time to get it perfect.

You are exactly right,if you didnt want or expect this to happen you should have vetoed the school build. All of us that had boys on the team looked forward to the school bringing in more students that might actually be able to play ball.I drove my oldest to Nashville every Sun to play on an elite AAU basketball team and he came off the bench but he needed that competition to get himself better and it helped our high school team in the process. My youngest wanted the competition also but we didnt have what we have now.I asked him this same question his answer was the same as BHs,it would make him work harder. Its not all about championships but it is about winning in all aspects.Getem off the couch and in the weight room if they dont like it and work for it.Get used to it because im sure its just starting.I played ball with all those coaches minus a couple their attitude is right where it should be discipline needs to start at home because its harder and harder to do it outside of it,how many times did you see mine act a fool?Cause they didnt want dad to get that hindend.Too many whinny parents like to tell the coach how to do his job.I wish it was like it used to be and the coach could handle it himself.

Barry Liles was on his way to do good things for LC but wouldnt kiss butt and the LC political train pushed him off the tracks. They are getting what they deserve, the politics in that city has ruined their sports. Some good coaches have been sent packing. In all sports.

totally 100% agree. it's a joke. Has been since I was there in the 70'S.

Id say we will hear some pads pop at this one, always a physical game. I bet if you ask the qb from wb this morning he wouldnt say gb was soft especially after 55 folded him up on first play, that kid was everywhere.  I agree pass defense has room to get better but take away the two pass plays that shouldnt have been completed and the pass interferences wb doesnt have 40 yards of offense with the 11 minutes of possession that they had. GB 3tds over Loudon or more if they shut down loudons qb on the ground. I expect the defensive ends to have a big game and Hanley racking up the tackles on the read option.

    I miss him already. _SAM4706.thumb.jpg.0d314ecd669c7bb6c5081a3582613c40.jpg
