1. QUOTE(No1ScoresOnMe @ Apr 22 2007 - 06:52 PM) 826442982I agree. Although I didn't quite believe it at first, Wilson Central has beaten a handful of quality teams to prove that their wins weren't just flukes. At some point, you have to stop saying "Hendersonville/Riverdale/Station Camp, etc. lost the game because they messed up" and start saying, "Wilson Central won the game because they earned it."

i thought that wilson central lost to station camp 1-0???

  2. QUOTE(SHS908 @ Apr 21 2007 - 03:34 PM) 826442447I'm not saying they didn't dominate but how many of those 28 shots were actually on goal

yes i guess i didnt mention that, id say close to half were on goal, maybe less. im guessing that u are a smyrna player SHS908? and if im rite, i think this is K. Black??? am i right?

  3. yes the smyrna game was a hard loss for lavergne...lavergne dominated the game clearly, anyone there would agree, lavergne out shot smyrna 28 to 4, so smyrna made 75% of there shots, pretty good stats on that, lavergne just couldnt finish. in my opinion, i would say that lavergne would beat them 9 out of 10 times, lavergne just has a more skilled team...but congrats to smyrna, not taking anything away from them

  4. QUOTE(ChadC @ Apr 1 2007 - 09:53 AM) 826427489It is amazing that you would come on here and sign on trying to get people to talk good about your team by talking bad about your team. Yes you guys are getting better while the cross the street rivals are getting worse. Your coach has done a tremendous job there and he has worked hard. It is time to reap the benefits of his hard work but make no mistake...do not get cocky because that is when you will start to fail once again. Be humble and things will happen. Bottom line, you are good enough to make some noise this year but for pete's sake, do a better job in your english class.

as an actual lavergne player, i assure you that "defaultuser" is not on lavergnes team. so anything mentioned about us bragging or anything like that, disreguard it. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> thanks.

  5. QUOTE(futbolman123 @ Mar 19 2007 - 05:08 PM) 826417799what teams, besides lavergne,hville,and gallatin are in this district???

wilson central, mt. juliet, beech, smyrna

  6. QUOTE(BigG @ Mar 17 2007 - 07:54 PM) 826415611Districts are different across the state, but how most do it is this...

If you come in first place at the end of regular season, you get the top seed in the tournament. Then you play the #8 seed (or the last seed) and might possibly have a bye for the first round. I have a feeling that you all will face Hendersonville again in the district tournament.

It is a great victory for LaVergne, but I would be cautious getting over excited. You have every reason to celebrate, just don't give Hendersonville any extra "incentive" than they already have. Good luck, LaVergne! Hope you have a great season!

Thanks!! i didnt mean to sound like i was over celebrating it. Yes we will more than likely see hendersonville again. Oh and BigG how is brandon doing? I play with him on his club team.

  7. well since alot of the other districts are up, i figured i would see all of the opinions on this one. since the reigning champs

(hendersonville) were finally defeated in a district game for the first time in years, could we see a new district champ this year??

--this might be a dumb question, but at the end of the regular season, before the district tournament, does the team in first place win the district??

  8. QUOTE(futbolman123 @ Mar 17 2007 - 03:47 PM) 826415472for curiosity sake, i called my friend from hville as regards to their field dimensions(not to dispute your word)i was there last year and didnt remember it being small. i was just thinking that hville wouldnt have spent all that money on a first class stadium with a small pitch. the dimensions he gave me (he thinks) is 75 yards wide and 120 long. he told me that lavergnes field was somewhere like 55 yards wide and 100 long but he says he could be wrong(due to hearing it from a player and from a view from the stands.)

anyways who is lavergnes next game against?hvilles?

yes i didnt mean for it to sound like i was saying that hendersonvilles field was too small or anything. im not sure of the measurments of our field, but i just thought ours was bigger, but i could be wrong. and lavergne playes ezell harding in the next match.

  9. QUOTE(futbolman123 @ Mar 17 2007 - 03:22 PM) 826415453talking with a hendersonville parent, they said that the first goal was an iffy pk situation in the first half off of a "handball." they said that the referees were the worst 2(must only have a 2 ref system) they had ever seen. also they said the field was very small which allowed the wolverines to just clear the ball whenever hville tried to force it. he said both goals in the 2nd half shouldnt of been allowed but he didnt tell me why. anyways just a huge upset(could be the biggest of the season.) and congrats to lavergne. id like to see if hville can pull it together and win out through the rest of the season. also, it will be interesting to see how lavergne does with this new sense of confidence after the BIG win. just remember, the 2nd or 3rd game of a season doesnt make or break it.

great point...as a lavergne player i have to agree and disagree on some things. about the field being small, that is def. not the case, because we play our games on the football field, i remember hendersonvilles field being much smaller. but yes the refs werent the greatest, it really was a pk off of a handball. and the reason for hendersonvilles goal was a blown call by a ref, our goalie went to collect a ball beside the goal, a hendersonville player pushed the goalie out of the way, the ref blew his whistle for a foul, which the lavergne players stopped playing, then the hendersonville player turned and scored, the ref counted the goal.

  10. QUOTE(blessedrine @ Mar 17 2007 - 12:02 AM) 826415017Big win for the LaVergne coach. Surprising though, his best player transfered to a school in Kansas. I think his name was Forrest.

haha yeeees good old forrest!! lavergne should have had a shut out really. with about 4 minutes left our goalie made a great save and the ball went to the side of the goal, and then a hendersonville player pushed our goalie out of the way, the ref blew the whistle for a foul, then the hendersonville player turned and shot and scored, all of the lavergne players stopped playing because of the foul call, but the ref counted the goal after the foul. but this is a HUGE win for lavergne. hopefully we earn some respect after this.

  11. QUOTE(mjuhb @ Mar 7 2007 - 10:50 PM) 826404330yes and everyone is equal this year

last year wasn't a good mix of teams because you had the best team in AAA brentwood(at the time)the worst AAA team lebanon plus tullahoma and lavergne stuck in the middle

yes Brentwood pretty much dominated. but i thought for a second we had them on that early goal!!! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> hows the tullahoma boys looking?? did they lose alot of key players?

  12. Lavergne had 4 scrimmages

    Lavergne 1, Brentwood 5

    Lavergne 4, Page 0

    Lavergne 0, Blackman 2

    Lavergne 5, Harpeth 0

mjuhb---im guessing ill see you at the tullahoma tournament again correct? should be a good one

  13. QUOTE(BlackmanSoccerDad @ Mar 4 2007 - 08:32 AM) 826399139These are really not full scrimmages, they are 30 Minute games, back to back, with a break in between your first two games.

    Smyrna 0 - Blackman 1

Should have been two, but and listen to this folks, the referee called back a PK, because the ruling on the field was the goal keeper didn't have control of the ball. PK was taken, bounced off the keeper and the person taking the PK, put back into the net. I will give the referee some credit, he did go to his truck and check the rules and came back and appologized to the boys. I guess that's what scrimmages are all about, it's for the referees too, but I just couldn't believe it.

    CPA 0 - Blackman 2

    Columbia Central 1 - Blackman 2

    Antiock 0 - Blackman 0

how does antioch look this year?? oh and ron, was there another dive for this pk with blackman?? because me and you both know there was one in the Lavergne game!!! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> haha, and its clear on video, too...matts pk was nice though, better than last years when he got stuffed! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
