    CPA is a tough defensive team. Here are some thoughts:

     

    1. Cut off the baseline (left of basket) for Hannah T. She doesn't drive well if you "stand on the line"

    2. Front Anna Mitchell in the post. and double her when she gets the ball....she frustrates easily.

    3. Boyd only drives with a spin move... Guard her left hand up the middle.

    4. Play them physically- they hand check...talk to the officials before the game to watch for it.... they will use it till they get called several times.

     

    Some random thoughts from an observer.

     

     

    I have some random thoughts. FRA is the biggest hand checker that I've seen play this year. So if you play them tell the refs before the game as Bigkid2 said. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

    I haven't seen Jo Byrns do anything so I wouldn't talk!!!!

    NCS has lost two players to injuries with only ten to start with and one has had a family member pass away so before you know the facts i would keep your mouth CLOSED!!!!

     

     

    Seriously whats Jo Byrns got to do with anything. As for the facts. You would have to go back to the 80's to find a district championship. Now thats something to brag about.

    We will find out Tue. night.

     

    Just doing a little research on the history of Nashville Christian VS White House Heritage. WHH first yr as a school was 2003.(ouch 70-06)

    I agree the NCS Lady Eagles could upset a few teams this year but they are very young. NCS starts 1 Freshmen (00 Chandler Martin and 2 other freshmen who are twins by the way (24 Ashton and 11 Addsion Dillon-Curtis) get a lot of playing time off the bench. Tori Hulan is a very tough player who can shoot 3's as well as drive to the basket. NCS started 2 Freshmen against East Roberson due to an ankle injury to Natalie Stewart. Worth noting that freshmen G Chandler Martin who is avg's 10 points a game is also tough and has played well. The Lady Eagles are year or two away from having a solid team that could have the potential to win the district.

    you know this weaker crap is getting old first of all the great tssaa puts u in the divisions u dont choose were ur put . second we will see just how weak we are come friday .these boys have worked as hard as anybody out there and it will show come friday get ready to rumble cause u dont no crap about jbs football

     

     

    One thing I know about jbs football. You wasn't winning anything until they came up with the multiplyer and got rid of the CPA's, DCA's of the world. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

    As for the Nashville Christian team, they had higher expectations this year. They gave up some big plays early in the season and were hit by the injury bug and in class A, there is not enough depth in key positions. They are playing hard and have not packed it in for the season. They will come out and play hard this Friday Night.

    Heres how its going to go down McEwen is going to come out and run the ball.when the

    defence has given up all hope their going to run it some more I look for all three RBs to

    Exactly my point out of the so called 10 players from Ensworth elementry/middle school only 5 start and the others do not play at all. So out of 22 starters, 17 of them came from other schools!! Ricky realized he could not win with just Ensworth kids so he had to go out and get others.

     

     

    It doesn't matter where the kids came from. They beat MBA /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    If you want your child to be a Doctor, you could go to Meharry Medical College in Nashville. What if the opportunity presented itself that allowed you to switch to Vanderbilt. Still gonna just be a doctor. I dont know how many times coaches from the private schools I know have been accused of recruting. I think that there is a bigger move on for parents wanting their children to be a champion at a school known for champions. Along the same lines why do parents want their children in the Magnet schools. The perception that this is the better opportunity, to prepare a child for college, weather it be academics or athletics can be the main goal. I can assure you that some of the people mentioned on the 7a thread, don't need to move. There is no financial gain for them, just the perception that their daughter will be better off somewhere other than where they are now. As for community pride...well family is a commitment that comes from both sides. Its easy to guilt people into doing things for you because their your family, (community). But it is a double edge sword, is their a commitment from the school program to make it the best?. The easy decision for players looking to get scholarship offers is to follow a path where players before them have gone on to get scholarships in their sport of choice. Nothing wrong with that. A ball player looking to get a shot at the NFL has a better chance going to Tennessee over other colleges because of Tennessee's track record of turning out NFL players.

    Appreciate that trivia. Didn't know that. I would agree that they aren't Lipscomb, nor Bartlett or even Shelbyville even lately but with being in the top twenty high schools in the number of state titles, thats pretty good and they do have a lot at stake in selecting a great girls basketball coach for the reasons I mentioned. I guess all schools will say that they have a lot at stake in selecting all coaches.

    PS-This poster is not a EH fan but is respectful as to what schools accomplish. Of the three schools involved, Shelbyville is great in Basketball but not in the top 25 and Farragut is great but not in the top 25 and Lipscomb is really great and is 13th in the state and Goodpasture is really great and is 18th in the state so EH at 23 certainly not bad at all so they must have been careful for a long time. As a trivia buff and something that might be interesting to fans, Baylor tops the list as the top school in Tennessee with the most state championships with 97. Brentwood Academy is second with 44. TSSAA is the orginator of these stats at their site.

     

     

    You talk about the mighty Lipscomb. Since the multiplier was installed 3 years ago Lipscomb girls have yet to win at Ezell Harding.     For those who dont know or understand english. 'False Hustle" diving for balls already far out of bounds. Trying to block a shot after the ball is already in the goal. Any movement to draw attention to yourself when you have already been beaten on defense.
