I want to congradulate Fulton on a great year! I know they will be back there next year ready for whoever. I wanted also to comment on the Fulton fans. My mother works the visitor concession stand for Red Bank and she said that Fulton fans were amazing! From the elderly to the children everyone was very polite and respectful! I know that your football team is good, but it is nice to know that it is not just the football team its the fans and the Fulton community! Again I appreciate good sportsmanship and fun high school football, so thanks!

Fulton got 11 players that can play for 4 qts. Does RB have tall receivers ? Fulton seems to have trouble with tall ones. fulton has alot of speed off the corner.
It depends what tall is they have a couple of good looking recievers around 6'1 or 6'2 which is a good size for a high school reciever. I would say including JV they probably have around 60 or so an average number. And I know that Fulton has 11 guys that can play four quarters, my question is in the third and fourth quarter going both ways can they be as affective as the first two. Im not saying they cant do it, I just feel that at some time that will catch up with them in my opinion. There is not a doubt that those 11 will not play their hearts out for 4 quarters but what will they have in the 4th to give.

Again can we not focus on this coming friday the 13th, Red Bank vs. Fulton. Greenville and central have nothing to do with this thread. If you wanna argue grow a pair get each others phone number and call and make a date cause there are a couple people on hrer that sound like a couple of 16 year old chaches! Please respect each others opinion cause everybody has their own, and lets grow up and stick to the Threads title! Thanks!

Now back to Fulton and Red Bank. I think Red Bank will pull it out 28-13. I just think only having 35 guys will get to them at somewhere down the road. Red Bank has some pretty good depth especially at the skill position and I will think it will wear on them. I think it will be a great game the first half and Red Bank will pull away in the second half.

Can we stop talking about all the BS and focus on the game instead. Whether it is being cocky or not it does not matter, the score in the end is all that matters. So stop talkin about the crap and talk about the game. What are the teams strengths, weaknesses, common opponents, ect. Thank you and Go Lioins. Fulton Fans be safe traveling down and lets get ready for a good game!

How could you pick against them! LA will win not a doubt in my mind! It will be a great game and LA is gonna pull it out! Upperman will hit the road and win their sub-state game and who knows maybe meet in the state tourney! I would love to see it!H-O-G E-Y-E HOG EYE HOGEYE TNT! Its gonna be going down all night long! Tim Benford from Chattanooga will be a huge gain for the eagles! He is an amazing athlete and is playing both football and basketball at Tech(atleast his first year). He did great things for Red Bank and broke many school records. He was offered by UTC, Jacksonvville State, Eastern and Western Kentucky and MTSU. He is a solid guy and the biggest competitor that i have ever been around. I look for big things from him as a freshmen either at reciever or if he ends up playing safety! Go Eagles!

I know one date that is on it Oct 17th Rhea Co. at Red Bank.
But I would guess the Region Games will be the same weeks as last year or least the last five games should be in the same order; because they havn't changed in the last few years. Here is what I guess it will look like.

Friday Sept. 5 Chattanooga Central at Chatt Central
Friday Sept. 12 Non Region Game

the first non region game is the team from Branford Canada again, and then the other non region game is Boyd Buc again. so no changes to the schedule

I'm not very familiar with what either team has this year..they must be pretty good to make it to Murf.

red bank is fast not big. they have a post player about 6'5 and thats it but we have athletes that make plays and can jump with the best of them. Tim Benford a senior 6'2 185 ponds is going to Tennessee Tech to play reciever broke most recieving yards in careeer, season most touchdowns in season and career for a reciever. unbelievable competator, with the heart of a lion, i love him!he was offered to play basketball at Tech and at UTC so not bad. Another senior Dominique McDuffie playing safety at App state next year plays down low can jump out of the gym about 6'3. then have other athletes that play football as well senior Kerry Maddox and Jared Mitchell, and Freshmen Kelvin Clay and Nick Ross.

I think if there is not a clear cut winner you have to go to mascots. I might be wrong but i would have to say Red Bank with LIONS(the king of the jungle) and Antioch with Bears will be inn the finals and in the end the lion is too fast for the bear although he is bigger and stronger. I could be wrong but im going with my instincts on this one!( just like Jim Carry in Dumb And Dumber) Its the Lions over the Bears in the Finals!

I agree that Tyrone is a special player and is the main reason Clarksville made it to the state finals last year and the reason they are back. It takes a team to win games, but it takes a leader like Mr. Caldwell to make an average team good or a good team great. Unfortunately for Clarksville, they don't have the horses to stay with teams like Antioch -who by the way- has a very good PG as well. I don't know all the teams, but am familiar with 5 of the PGs and to tell you the truth, they can all play.
Joe Jackson, White Station - May just be the best of them all as only a Sophomore
Tyler Cutter, Siegel - Just as valuable to his team as Caldwell is to his. Supporting cast is young, but very talented and he makes them tick
Upton - Antioch has great talent, but without Kyle, they would not be my favorite to win.
Stephens -Oak Ridge - He and Dowdell make a lethal combination
Caldwell, Clarksville - Enough said. He is the real deal and we all know it.
Can someone fill me in on PGs for Ridgeway, DB abd Red Bank?
Well for Red Bank I would say the best all around guard play would be Tim Benford! He is just a competator. he stopped practice on Friday and said if guys were not practicing to win then go home cause he didn't want them there! I love it! I have talked to many people who say he is one of the top athletes to come through Red Bank some saying second to Gerald Riggs Jr. He was offered b-ball by University of Tennessee at Chattanooga(SoCon) and Tennessee Tech( ohio valley). UTC is a pretty decient b-ball school. Probably not the most talented player there because he plays football to but i would put my money on biggest heart and Competator!

Quality teams...... Farragut, a 19 point loss (first game of the season with 3 football players just joining the team, 2 of them starters), plus DB didn't play very well obviously. Columbia Ga., a 24 point loss (they were the 5th. ranked team in Ga., the same team that beat Antioch by 23) probably better than anyone in Tn. this year. Salem Va., a 14 point loss (the third ranked team in Va.) probably the worst game DB played all year. Bearden, a five point win in the Sub State (Bearden was the 4th. ranked team in AAA. Beat Sullivan East twice in regular season Science Hill 4 times (a feat in itself) and a good Greenville team in the Region. As far as it being weak in this area......It is to a certin extent. But we still have good teams in Science Hill, East, DB. Also we always play in the Arbys Classic in Bristol, one of the top Tournments in the country. The reason Football is weak is because Sevier Co, and Jefferson Co. have been down for a few years. As soon as they return to their old selves the conference will be strong again.
I guess i was looking for more in state schools i dont know anything about this other state schools and i am not real big on rankings so. i would agree that bearden is def. a solid win however it was at home. I don't feel that we were 30 points better than White Co. but we won by that cause the place was rockin and rollin. we will see how it turns out im not putting down DB down in anyway. the are in the state tourney that means the are a very good team. I have no idea the size might be a factor but again we have played big teams before and our athletisism overrides that but iwith this stiff competion i dont know. sounds to me that it will be a good one and i cant wait! good luck to all teams there including DB! but Go LIONS!

Red Bank has been playing pretty good ball lately! those early loses that you all were talking about did come without two key starters. Benford was out till christmas with a football injury and dominique sat out over christmas break. so they lost to oak ridge without both of them and against clarksville benford was ejected on two bogus technical fouls! I feel like it will be a good game there are no common apponents. We hit 15 not 18 threes not a huge diffrence and i belileve white co. hit 9. i don't know that i agree with the fluke win i think it was the fact that we played at home because it helps you out a ton! What all quality teams has DB played this year not taking anything away but they usually go undefeated in football then loose in the second round because theythat area is week so is basketball the same way? o and Benford is playing reciever next year at Tennessee Tech and Dominique Mcduffie is going to App State to play safety!

Red Bank, Oak Ridge, and Clarksville all played in a Christmas Tournament this year at Riverdale. Clarksville beat Memphis Central in the finals, and Oak Ridge beat Red Bank in the consolation.
White Station and Ridgeway will be in opposite brackets because they are from the same region. 2 Mr. Basketball finalists will be there - Jason Jones from Ridgeway and Tyrone Caldwell from Clarksville, Terrico WHite from Craigmont was eliminated.
actually Red Bank also played Clarksville in that same tourney and lost by about 11. It was Tim Benfords third game back from a broken arm from football and he had a heck of a game scoring 20 points in the forst half, and having a solid third quarter before getting ejected for 2 technical fouls which were bogus calls!also dominique Mcduffie didn't play in that tourney. then they lost to oak ridge in which him and Dominique Mcduffie, the two senior stars who are both going to play football in college( benford to Tennessee Tech & Dominique to App. State) did not play. so the team has matured they have had a couple fab freshmen play well. One Nick ross came in the first quarter against White co. in sub state and went 4-4 from 3 point rage in the first quarter ending the night w/ 23 points. not bad for a freshmen. i think its a diffrent team than Christmas just like Clarksvill and Oak Ridge are probably as well. Good luck to all im pulling for my lions cause once your get to Murfresburro who knows whats going to happen!

Well i would have to say miguel sanchez from red bank. He is a d-lineman that has started since his sophmore year on two pretty good red bank teams. 4-4a Region defensive player of the year as a junior. he is about 6'-0" 245, pure thoroughbred! He is quick, strong, great technique, fast! I look for big things from him next year!

well i like to go by what they mean to there team, if they were taken away from thier team, would their team fall off the deep end, and i like to look at stats, i dont like to look at their rankings in the nation, or who they have offers from, i would like to see Tim Benford from Red Bank atleast be invited, he means so much to his team, has put up great numbers, and has just taken over a few games for them this year and carried them on his shoulders, but there are so many great high school players!

well to me it looked like another year of rhea county players or fans getting excited about the game and sayin things they can't back up but thats alright i figured that was goin to be the case anyway, its alright red bank played alittle bit better o lets say a whole lot better than they have all year because great teams know how to step up to the plate in big games, good luck to rhea the rest of the way out and in to the playoffs! GO LIONS!

It's a wonder that you RB fans and players talk like you do and you beat a Clevland team that is obvoius inferer to teams of the past by only a touchdown or a little more. Now with Tracey Sims being out I don't see RB being able to stop RC's line they are too powerful.
first off if you saw the game you would understand that other than the first quarter red bank had control, it was 33-14, then clevland scored late went for two and made it sound closer key word is sound, first quarter was close, and you cant go on how bad a team beats another that does not even matter, red bank 77 brainerd 8, then maryville barely sneaks past maryville in the playoffs,so red bank was better than maryville last year, not quite, if you know about sports then you look not at the score but the game, stats, everything, score determines the outcome of one game and thats it!so yea 36-22 two touchdowns look at more than that next time and be able to back up what you say, good try though!put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it does. Because I know you have watched Rhea but not Red Bank. If you would have gone and watched Red Bank, say the Soddy or Canadian Game or both, you would have seen that they are not as good this year as in the past. Infact I would say the only good lineman on their front 5 is tyler chambers the rest are just average. They are one dimensional all they do is throw the ball to two players maybe 3 if one of the first two is having a bad game, and Ledbetter can't throw deep so why play back. Look at all the pass plays they have ran in the last few years. Most of them are less than a 15 yard throw, but look longer than what they are on paper because of yards after the catch. The running backs do play into the offense but only in short yardage situations or one once they are closer to the endzone. The main component of Red Bank's defense is out. I wasn't surprised to here those first few scores from the Cleveland game last friday because they are not as good as everyone makes them out to be. Oh and I would like to make one thing clear to get this ref thing clear the refs that will be at the game will be from Athens the same that has made bad call after bad call against Rhea. Athens refs don't like us. But being at home will favor us.
yea athens officails are absolutly terriable, two years ago the opening kickoff went in the endzone but they allowed the man to bring it out of the endzone, in high school you cant do that, what about the famous inadverted whistle in 1982 i believe, first offensive play 72 yard touchdown called back cause the ref was fooled red bank loses 14-13, they are horrible its as simple as that!

well if we are going on straight high school careers, i would throw in Gerald Riggs Jr. from Red Bank. He was ranked 1 or 2 back in the nation, and some say he was a better linebacker(michigan & LSU) just to mention a couple! shattered all kinds of chattanooga records and didnt recieve the ball all that much!so if we are going on just high school i would consider him!Eric Westmorland great high school and college career at Tennessee!

Here is the thing. I dont know why both schools are so sure about winning this game! I understand being confident, but there is a differance between confidence and cockiness! I feel confident that if Red Bank comes out and plays like they are capable of on friday they will win. I am just not sure how good Greenville is. I know all Greenville fans are going to say they are great like Red Bank fans will say, but im not sure about their schedule. Chucky Doake? never heard of half the teams they have played. Im not disin those teams but I just feel that it is not a very strong or even good competition! Im not sure because we have not matched up with anyone in that area in a while. We always matched up with the Knox region in West, Maryville, and those schools! They are traditioinally pretty good! I dunno just my thoughts!
