  1. i just bought the new nike vapors (seeing as how i can finally play) and i played three games today and feel as if i have been wearing vapors my whole life, and they even made it so that you do not get blisters (so they say) and i did not get any. They feel almost as if you are barefoot. I LOVE THEM!!

  2. I'd like to see these two replace Bearden and Farragut as Knoxville's #1 match up. If they both keep beating the Ads and the Dogs like the last couple of seasons, I think it will happen.

actually the last two times Bearden and CAK have met, Bearden won.

  3. BGA's #9 is Jason Bristol. He also plays on TNFC 88. He's a very good defender, and he's great in the air.

ha, man has he grown. He used to be a little guy, now he is huge; i didn't even recognize him.

he has been with TNFC for a very long time even when they were called Williamson County (i think)

  4. too bad it wasnt Farragut beating Bearden for the Championship again. oh well. well just couldnt do couldnt finish against henersonville. but i guess atleast the championship came back to west knox. even though it went to bearden. Farragut is still better. oh well though maybe next year.

what??? i will let this post slide because of its sheer randomness and craziness

  5. tin-man, weren't you the one who thought being arrogant was a good trait?

im not for sure, but i think that was you.

R.O.B. for once said something complimentary and rightly so. you're obviously on the CBHS bandwagon which is fine, but the arrogant statement was hilarious. the only person arrogant on that team was the coach. and as you can see, arrogant people get what they deserve(2 straight final berths w/o a ring). i still think CBHS is a great team but BGA(as stated by midtnsportsfan)was the team that perservered.

"good teams find a way to win".....

    well sorta..

i said arrogance is a good trait for sports; and still believe so. It pushes the players to play up to their mouth (or coaches); i personally am under the belief that the coach of CBHS is just that confident in his players that it becomes arrogance. I think that is a great trait, to think that your team is good enough to beat any opponent and then do just that for every game until the very last one of the season. The last game that they played very well and (in my opinion) were unlucky; even so, the game lasted til' a pk shoot-out where they lost.

'on the CBHS bandwagon' whoa!! i said that CBHS would win state after i saw them play Bearden a long long time ago, if anything i started the wagon, so please do not try and pull that little stunt.

I found it sad that CBHS works so hard and cannot produce in the final game for 2 years now.

no one doubted the 'goodness' of BGA.

  6. Tin Man, i heard the same thing this weekend from some players that play on his state ODP team. There could be five in a row at CAK if this is true.

well if Brandon is returning i hope for the best out of other teams defenses and keepers. (not that it will help too much).

  7. well i saw that there was a topic for A/AA so i decided hey, why not one for AAA.

who is going to be strong next year?

i think that Farragut will be very tough with many a great juniors this past season.

how will Science Hill be next year?

and H'ville, how are they going to look?

  8. You sound pretty bitter about the success Brentwood enjoys Mr. Rock.

I wonder if Franklin or Ravenwood or even Centennial would consider their season to be a success if they won the District regular season championship, the District Tournament, the Regional finals, a sectional game and went to the State Tournament? What do you think? or is it only Brentwood that shouldn't consider it successful?

I am not sure what you meant about the "DOESN'T HAVE TO WIN TO ADVANCE" emphasis, are you saying the other team has to win? shouldn't it be that neither team has to win to advance? or does that only apply to Brentwood?

I'd say that a one day trip to the Boro is better than a no day trip to the Boro.

I am pretty sure that Brentwood has never lost to Clarksville but maybe you are right, you usually don't make mistakes on the factual stuff.

Anyway I imagine Bretnwood will do ok next year, at least they give you something to talk about.

i am happy for Brentwood and their success, but if they want more success they need to consistently play harder teams, there is no arguement that can logically say that playing weak teams will help a team win state more than playing strong teams.

Maybe Brentwood should hit up one of those tournaments, Bearden had a really strong tournament this year. A team that made it to state from every division was there. I believe Gtown Houston has a strong tournament every year as well.

I think tournaments are a great idea, not only can you get strong opponents you also get the feel of a true tournament (state) and having to play 3 (or however many) games in a short amount of time.

  9. HEY LIMA, THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY BEFORE YOU SAY IT, TRY TO USE SOME COMMON SENSE, IF YOU HAVE ANY AT ALL, I HEARD IT HELPS!

were you not the one that was talking about Father Ryan and how they have an 'iron curtain' and were going to win state again?

i am not sure, but i believe that was you.

  10. Lion10L, you must have meant the u17 tnfc b/c the u18 will NOT lose at state. i think you're forgetting one small fact......those guys finished 2nd at regionals to the eventual national champion.

ya, as much as i hate saying it, it would have to be one very very very lucky game for anyone in the U18's to beat TNFC. They are very good and have a solid player in every position and when they sub, it is almost as if nothing has changed.

  11. We'll just have to agree to disagree, cause I didn't see enough of Bearden's short spurts to even out possession. But they did win the game, which is MUCH more important.

alright agree to disagree, but why did you repl to that particular poat?

  12. Tin man 5 year or 6 now?

    do what?

    5th year senior?

are you trying to say that i am stupid? because the reason i am a fifth year senior was because of expulsion, not failed classes, i even got money for academics.

(i am assuming that you meant this as my high school years, i see no other explanation)

  13. I was trying to be nice about Bearden, but they were garbage. They couldnt play with Hendersonville so they sat back like the U.S. national team does. Is the U.S. team better than Portugal 02 team, heck no. Bearden was severely outmatched in the final. A Brentwood player said that it was one of their worst games and many players took tests that day at school and were exhausted, plus Brentwood had injuries. I know you are blind because you are from Bearden but they are not good.

Rico did absolutely nothing... everytime he got the ball it was stolen immediately, just as I said before he isnt good. If they didnt sit 9 inside the 18 box, Hendersonville would have scored 5. Hey, but when you arent nearly as good as a team that is all you can do and hope, right? This is how Greece won the European Championships and they didnt even make the World Cup!

Ok, can you tell me one play that H'ville did that was so great? passin the ball is great and all, but last i checked points are not awarded for passes.

Taking a test not very exhausting, i have taken many in my day and have played games right after (like 2 or three hours anyway).

have i said anything about Rico????? about the state tournament at all??

    cause i haven't.

He played good considering he always had a defender on his back every second of every game. With a goal against Brentwood.

i did not know that teams that are not that good win state.

If a team plays one of the worst games they have played in the state tournament, then that is kinda sad, i would think that whoever is playing in the tournament would have a good game.

I am not blind of anything, and that argument is very weak. I have stated that Bearden has played bad when they have played bad. They had more dangerous opportunities than H'ville that night and dominated the offensive side of the game.

  14. Thats one of the dumbest things Ive ever heard. There is a vast difference between having pride and being arrogant. Having pride and playing for the tradition of your school is great, but playing hard so you can be a jerk to the "little" people is not acceptable in any regard.

I do not think that CBHS players play hard just so they can be jerks, that is absurd.

They are arrogant, but they earned that arrogance, and now they have to prove themselves before they are arrogant again. (even though they played a great game).

  15. ok tin-man, no one deserves to be arrogant. in case you didnt know, arrogance isnt exactly a great thing to have. the cbhs coach said the bga offense was "pretty good". scoring 10 goals against 2 teams they only beat 1-0 and 2-1 is outstanding in my book.

A team that has outplayed and beat every team they have come up against deserves to be arrogant, now if they are arrogant today then i can understand it.

They even outplayed BGA, but as we all know outplaying a team does not put points on the board.

i personally get mad when another team is arrogant, but it just makes me work harder. that is why i believe arrogance belongs in sports, for competition.

  16. all arrogance does is put a target on your chest and makes it even sweeter when you beat them

oh and by the way if they are so good y do they keep losing in the finals

i really do not know, they seem to just have terrible terrible luck.

  17. TIN MAN SHUT UP did you even watch the game last night Bearden sat back on their on 18 with their fingers up their butt waiting for pks. Hendersonville dominated the whole time but their shooting was just terrible.

over reaction? are you angry? i just love the caps it really gets your point across

well it sounds like it. Yes, i was there since about 1:30 to watch the CBHS and BGA game. So yes i was there (i was blowing a big red horn alot, maybe you heard it) and i saw what happened, and what i saw was Bearden having many chances and H'ville not having many.

maybe instead of trying to attack me you should try to prove your point with some facts.

Don't hate on tin man, the boys gotta represent.

haha, i have to, its all i can do.

  18. I don't believe anyone "deserves" to be arrogant. Being humble is what makes some athletes even greater, especially in Soccer, which should be a game of class. I don't know whether or not they WERE arrogant, but I know that arrogance does not have a place in Futbol.

i believe arrogance is a big part in any sport, it helps people try harder to uphold that arrogance.

  19. No, i dont think so at all. In the past few years Knoxville has done well in HS 03-04, but Bearden was not the best team this year, not to take away anything from them. I thought they were ok, but not that good. Hendersonville dominated them, but couldnt score. But, that's the way it goes sometimes, the best team doesnt always win it all. Props to Bearden for winning though, all they did was sit back and defend.Knoxville has NOT dominated HS soccer whatsoever ths year.

Club soccer is being almost totally dominated by Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood teams, just look at the list of state champions it is more than 80% nashville area teams across the board boys and girls.

i do believe you have been against Bearden the whole season, anyway Bearden had better chances to score last night, with a ball hitting the cross bar, Rico's break away that he messed up on the dribble and it ended up hitting his heel (haha) and also Rico's header that barely went over the goal.

I do night rememeber any real dangerous plays by H'ville last night. maybe you can point some out because i am drawing a blank

I do know that Tom Webster played many balls back from the goal line, one of which went to a freshmen (Erin Ackinson spelling?) who stroke it well but wide.

so i am pretty sure Bearden did not sit back playing defense when they had many many great chances for a goal.

I am sorry but Brentwood area? brentwood was beaten by BEARDEN by three points. That is a pretty bad beating.

maybe the own soccer in club soccer, but definitely not in high school.
