CSAS travels to Clay County Saturday to take on Sunbright and Clay County. How will these games look? Who wins and why?
CSAS has a lot of guards but lost their MVP (Taylor), leading scorer (Gordon) and two posts from last year. Don't know anything about Sunbright but Clay is usually pretty good.

I am pretty sure they're going to be playing in their own gym. They've won their last 9 or 10 games--played some good teams.
If Clarkrange has an option they do not want to play in Graces gym. It holds about 300!

Quit acting like we're only good at sports because we recruit people out of our area to play. I would love not to use myself as an example because it looks selfish, but since you want everyone to believe we recruit 5 star athletes out of state to come play for us, I feel like using myself as an example will be sufficient for what I want to say. I have lived 10 minutes away from friendship my entire life, I was a 4 year starter in baseball and started all the games my sophomore and senior years of football, I also started 3 games my freshman year of football (missed my junior year due to having Tommy John surgery in the summer). I'm not gonna go into personal accolades or stats, but I wasn't a lousy player. Now to try to say that I was recruited to go to friendship is a joke. I went because my dad wanted a better education and atmosphere than what I would have gotten at Wilson Central. This is the case for most who transfer to friendship. Yes, some do transfer in only to play sports. I'm sure your school has had a few do that in girls since I guess that's all your good at. Friendship doesn't have to go out and recruit people, the sports program does that for itself with the success we have. Very rarely do we have transfers who live in another county come to our school, I'd venture to say 95% of the athletes are from Wilson County. And why do you not see me on the girls forum? Well honestly it's because I don't ever watch the girls play. I can't stand watching 1A girls basketball because I grew up watching MJ girls play because my sister went there and was a 3 year starter for them. After seeing MJ girls basketball for 6 or 7 years, trying to watch 1A girls basketball is like watching 9 and 10 year olds play baseball, pretty dang boring lol. But back to the recruiting thing and the whole thing where you think we're all from different counties, the seniors that played baseball my junior and senior years, all of us but 1 lived within 10 minutes of the school. The best athlete I played with at friendship, Lee Maasen, he lives about a minute away from school. So yeah we definitely recruit nationally lol. And as for the whole unchristian thing, I'm prideful and yes that's a sin so I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I'm also very competitive so it doesn't help that someone from Jackson County, where your guys sports really don't even compete with ours, tries to accuse us of things that aren't true. I'll say it again, I'm sorry if I have hurt your feelings. Now can anyone give me any info on CSAS? I'd like to know about how athletic they are and what type of size they have.
What kind of team is FCS? I know their record is good but what good teams have they beat?

How did the single A basketball in West Tennessee compare this year to past years? I saw where Lake County and Middleton were both in the state tournament this year and wondered how they compared to the good Union City teams, Manassas, Humbolt, Westwood, and teams from other years?
-
I think the teams that would stand in the way of Clarksville Academy going to state would be Perry County, Wayne County, and Summertown.
What do you say the chances are for any of these teams knocking Clarksville Academy out of a chance to repeat?
-
You obviously don't know much about them, they lost one player who averaged about 10 a game,he was a small forward and a shut down defender. They return both guards and are better at handling pressure but a little weaker on defense with the loss of Heath Dyer but you have no idea what you are talking about.
From what I have seen, they don't run a whole lot of offense and are definitely weaker on defense this year. Since you seem to know so much about them, who are the teams that stand in their way of returning to the state tournament? Not saying they won't get there but every team has teams that can beat them on a given night.

There are several very good teams in Region 3-A and 4-A. How will the teams from here match up with the defending state champ?
-
First Signal Mtn. loses to Whitwell. Then they win a game. Then last night!?! What is going on?!?!?!
-
Wow! I knew the Patriots had everyone back but beating Howard is big!
-
What are everyones thoughts on District 5-A this year? CSAS won it last year and has everyone back. Will they win it again? Grace lost a lot of players from last year. Who will be the top teams? Silverdale lost players and our coach.
-
District 6- A is at South Pittsburg and I heard that 5-A has not even met yet to determine a site.

I have seen Boyd struggle so far this season on the hardwood, but now they have their football players out. Will they get any help from any new guys? How does the season look? I know that Grace beat them pretty bad last week.
-
Are there going to be any surprises? I don't know anything about Silverdale since I don't have any connection there any more but would like to know about all the teams in the region for this year. Anybody able to help all of us fans out?

I am just a family member whose kids have been gone for a while....don't know the answer to your question.
-
Another big kid that I am hearing about is Jackson Lenoir at CSAS. I think he is 6'6" or 6'7" and is much improved from last year as a freshman.
-
Wow! Sounds impressive. Who do you think will be your toughest game...certainly not us.
-
The only names I recognize are the returning starters and I was pretty sure they had more than two seniors on the team last year. What are the individual stats of the players you mentioned as having contributed offensively per game that few of us know who they are. Thanks ahead for the info.
-
They lost their point and their post for sure. I think they had a couple of other seniors. Who are the 6 of 8 returning scorers and how many points a game in varsity did they average?
-
Which Grace are you referring to?

I knew that a change was going to happen, but I did not know and dont know who is going to be the new coach. I have heard Alexanders name, but surely someone else will emerge as a leading candidate. Any names out there?

#3 PETERSEN is gonna be the go to guy next year!
To go where?

Wow, I didn't realize TTA did something illegal in the newspaper. Please provide more details. Has the matter gone to court? Will anyone be serving time? Has TSSAA made a statement?
You must have really lost your mind! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Sexton is the only reason they went to the state the last two years. What is there schedule next year? The only way they win 15 is if they RECRUIT like crazy or they play the weakest teams available. Three questions- Who are they playing and who is playing for them and who will be coaching them?
-
Trying to check out whether or not it is true that a coaching change is in store at Temple Academy on both the boys and girls side for basketball. I heard that the boys coach has been applying all over town and that the girls coach would not be back either. Any confirmation to this? I wouldn't blame either of them if they left since it looks like they don't have much coming back next year.

I know Copper beat us and they are having a good year but have they played Boyd or CSAS yet?
