Let's don't forget that there are a lot of single a teams winning state titles and making it to the playoffs without Skogens. Temple will have a successful football program because there is an unquestionable vision on the part of Scott Chastain to make it happen. Pasture, I guess you are saying now that you were wrong in your assessment since you are saying he should never have been hired after predicting great success based on his "vision" when Temple hired him!

Quickly firing the coach could have been an attempt on the part of the Temple administration to show that they were" in control of the situation". Maybe I was not clear on how I said it but that is what I meant to say. Is anyone else curious as to why xcrusader should be seen as a great and reliable source for the past at Temple when he just joined coacht yesterday? Seems conveinent to put out a particular point of view if you ask me!

The TSSAA will look for a pattern of abuse if it is there and a lack of institutional control (which is probably why the football coach was fired). Stuff that may or may not have happened prior to this year would be the key to serious punishment, although what has been alleged is very serious by itself.

drstats needs to check his information before he makes an assumption that is wrong again! If you look at the TSSAA website and look under cooperative programs, you will see that one does NOT exist between CSAS and Temple for football or anything else. The list shows that Culeoka and Columbia Central have a cooperative agreement for football.

I don't claim to be close to the Temple program. From the tone of your post I would say that it is driving you crazy to consider the possibility that instead of beating up on everyone, you are faced with getting beat by Silverdale, Grace, etc.!

I believe that the miracle transfer quarterback Larson came from the same school as the coach Chip Kell. Coincidence? Questionalble? When exactly did he transfer as a student to Temple?

Well if Temple only had 30 kids at school working out and then they had 50 at spring practice, that sounds like a lot more than 6 or 7 transfers!

The difference is that our transfers sat out to be eligible. Have you ever heard of of Temple transfer sitting out? No, they transfer and play!

I don't feel sorry for Temple. They have never felt sorry for anyone, they sure didn't last year. They will just transfer in some players right before the season starts and still probably be good!

On Temples website they stated that they had 31 players involved in winter workouts. Their coach was quoted on stump on sports that they had 50 or so in spring football! Must of had a lot of "late transfers" right before school was out!!!

Does anyone from Temple know if Marcum will be the coach for this year only? Are they looking for someone permanently right now? Will there even be a team to coach?

Chastain and Kell both coached together last year and this year. If Chastain was breaking a rule (I said if) then would not Kell know about it? I mean he was a high school coach before he came to Temple and if he knew then he would be guilty as well wouldn't he? All speculation of course because no one seems ot know for sure.

I mean Silverdale is just fine without Temple's "interim" coach......it looks better every day in the east!

I am pretty sure that they have several key seniors. I know that the goalie is a senior and I think that their best scorer is a senior. Maybe a couple of other guys too.
