it might go to chandler farmer from indy... he has eleven shutouts this year, and alot of that is because of him, not just because of a good defense.... jordan leedle is great, no doubt, but he hasn't had as many shots to save as chandler... no knock on indy's defenders, though, because they're really solid back there.
-
three of the top eight teams in AAA are in district eleven (bwood, indy, rwood), bearden is number one, but farragut is down, and south doyle and maryville are only solid, not great.
-
if i am not mistaken, i believe columbia academy's field is an amazon moss/monkey grass hybrid with a 12.5 to 1 ratio... the secret behind their nice field is the soil, though... it's straight out of the indian rainforest, and has plenty of nutrients from the dead sloths that have fertilized it.

QUOTE(woSammoth @ Apr 19 2007 - 08:00 PM) 826441377The USN tournament has supposedly started off strong with wins from a couple teams to my knowledge. I heard that Pigeon Forge defeated Dickson Co. 2-0, and was curious of the thoughts on that game. I also heard that FRA defeated USN 4-2, and was curious as well to the thoughts of that game. Also, Pigeon Forge plays FRA tomorrow if the bracket is correct, two teams that have just won, any thoughts of the two games? Who will win? Both teams ranked in the top 11 of A/AA.
pigeon forge lost to dickson co. 4-1. independence beat antioch 7-0. collierville beat fairview 5-1.

their record is impressive for sure, but i haven't gotten a chance to see them play... could someone who has seen them tell me about them?

y'all played a good game, and we played a bad one, so we deserved to lose... but i think the fact that we had an off game was taken into consideration when these rankings were posted.

QUOTE(EagleSoc6 @ Apr 9 2007 - 09:55 AM) 826432915Independence is also a strong team, we have talented players throughout the field, it will be a good matchup. If both teams play at their best it's going to be really hard to predict a score. Ill just wait till friday and see who plays better on the field.
i agree with eaglesoc6.... both teams have great talent and it will be a hardfought game.... i won't make any predictions, but i can't wait to play.

QUOTE(usasoccer0024 @ Apr 2 2007 - 09:59 PM) 826428601Well i was partially correct at least on the score part. This game was fairly even in the beginning. each team had chances Centennial putting some of the posts and independence played their thru balls to moses. One thing to note is that CHS was missing their starting Forward who was sick and Head coach Sandy Pollack was out of town. I think if these teams meet back up it will be closer than tonight as long as both teams stay healthy. CHS has a hard fight ahead of them but i think they can do it as long as they stick together and keep on keepin on.
funny how you lose the game and THEN the excuses start flying.... "well, coach was out of town...", "tyson was sick..."... whatever, you were off by six on your prediction. and centennial had one ball go off the post the whole game, not "some". chs really didn't have a whole lot of chances to score, and if we (indy) had executed better it would have been 5-0.

QUOTE(usasoccer0024 @ Apr 1 2007 - 06:42 PM) 826427769How can you say thats not worth mentioning. like you just said yourself they only have returning seniors and obviously those seniors aren't whats gonna help independence. They've had three years to work on beating Centennial and haven't done it yet. What would be rhythm? Centennial has played very tough teams so far (BGA and JP2), and done pretty well against them. Who has independence beat this year that is actually a hard team? What a bright idea a stong offensive attack will win the game.
independence might not have beaten centennial yet, but centennial hasn't had to play independence without dc, jason sparks, and harrison cheatham yet either... this is an entirely different centennial team than the one they fielded last year, and the fact that indy hasn't beaten them yet means absolutely nothing. seing as how i play for independence, i'm going to shy away from making a prediction.

QUOTE(MortonC @ Mar 26 2007 - 02:16 PM) 826423114GIRLS GOLF.... Ok all that stuff aside. I think that INDY will come out on top, but they need to bring their "A" game. From what I have seen in the past, INDY can get real lazy midway through the game, and Franklin proved they will not give up against Ravenwood. It depends on which team shows up to play.
just kidding about girls' golf....
-
I think independence is more talented, but when these two teams get together (in football, basketball, soccer, girls' golf, anything), it always comes down to who makes the fewest mistakes, and a little luck. Any predictions?

our (independence's) biggest rival is probably franklin, cuz we beat them once (3-1), tied them once (3-3) and lost to them once (1-3) last season... centennial is close behind...

it's hard to tell whether there were changes from week 0.... were there any (i would assume not since no one has played a regular season game yet)?
-
i think you'll win the district in the regular season but won't make it to the finals of the distric tournament.... overton will upset.
-
independence over fairview 4-0.... 4 goals scored in the first half.
-
watch out for fairview if anyone plays em.... i wouldn't say that they're physical, but they're dirty.
