Very good point Sausy37. I feel like this is probably the strongest team CAK has had in the past years. This is the biggest group of seniors in a while I believe too, isn't that right BigG? We will see what happens in a few days though. Looking forward to the tourney this year. I hope to see CAK and Alcoa in the state finals as it will be a big Knoxville championship game once again.

I don't see CAK going D2 anytime soon, but I definitely could be wrong. Catholic would surprise me if they went D2 also, but you never know.

I definitely second what sausy37 and akula21 stated. At the start of the game I saw Patrick Maloney, Michael Williams, Jack McCoy, Tanner Thompsen, Kinley (sp) all on the field. Then in the second half I saw all of them on the field too plus many more of the same players that started.

Well it looks as if I was right about what I said about 4 D1 prospects helping some. Whoever said I was wrong I guess isn't talking too much anymore. Farragut didn't stand a chance from the beginning of the game. After Bearden's big 3 (Craig Jenkins and Simpson) dominated Farragut's team with the help of Campbell and Parker then it was all over. I'm going to go ahead and say now that Bearden will win state as there is no team that can hang with them in their district. Nice try Farragut, it was fun watching.

All i know is that that the over ranked bulldogs are going to have a rude awakening tomorrow.

You are absolutely insane to believe that Bearden is over ranked. Considering they have atleast 4 D1 prospects on their team and most of them have been playing together all 4 years then I wouldn't call them over ranked. Bearden is going to run Farragut out of the gym tomorrow night. I can't wait to see Nathan Parker throw down some dunks on some of the Farragut players.

Wow, some of these pics on this forum are pretty funny. The CAK and Alcoa threads always seem to be filled with funny pictures. Anyways about the game on Friday, I believe it COULD be the closest game that these teams have ever had against each other. For that to happen, the Warriors will have to play an exceptional game every minute. This is possible and I think that if someone is going to beat the Tornadoes, than it is going to be the Warriors this time. Not saying it is going to happen, but I think this is the best chance. Everyone knows Alcoa is an exceptional team with great talent, just look at the recruits who have left to play in college(Randall Cobb, Kyrus Lanxter, Brandon Warren and others), but I do believe the Warriors could take this one in a close one if they play hard. Can't wait to see a great game! GO WARRIORS!

Weather.com says a 50% chance of showers at 7:00 kickoff and about 59 degrees and a 5 mph wind. Sounds like it may not be perfect but not too bad of weather to play football. It may make it a little less than perfect for the fans! I will have to visit the concession stand early and often. GP fans, what is good at the concession stand? Please tell me they have plenty of coffee and hot chocolate for the kids.

23 is Marcus and I am not sure about how he is doing but I know that Mabry is still out this game with his hip flexor.

CAK will take this one by 14 with a big game from Fromke and Moran.

Be careful when you say "home-cooking" about CAK....they are very sensitive and "undefeated" at home.

 

Those ankle twisters play "very well" at home. You don't want to be called "sore losers" by their fans. At least you didn't have to see an injury list that looked like bad news out of Iraq from CAK.

 

All this potentially did is set up a return match at ALCOA.....that will be ugly!!!

Cak 14 Webb 31 was the final. Good game by both teams. CAK came out hard as they went up 14-0 in the first quarter, but then a few mistakes cost them.

Excellent point "greatscott" by showing all the years at CAK of each starting player. That is really nice "bulldog69" that you would even pay for our team bus gas to come play you. I commend you for that kind offer seriously. You will have to talk to the AD at CAK though to see whether we take you up on that or not though. And no i wasn't in the skybox tonight at the UT game. I was in the stands, but the skyboxes are really nice I will tell you. So if you ever get the chance to go up there, then don't pass it up.

As far as the officials go.....weak and out of position a lot.....would they throw more flags on a visiting team from Middle TN....we'll see.....the truth will be in the offensive line holding calls...plus I rarely see a TSSAA ref get a pass intereference call correct.

 

That poster who played last year and is spouting off....welllll....come to this game. I had Page at home by 17 now I think 7-10pts....if we play hard and disciplined. This will NOT be the same Page team from last year.

 

CAK lost so many All-Americans from last year, I don't see how they can be competitive at the same level.. Granted they have strong athletes......I just want Page to play their game. Daniels is a tough coach when the game is on the line and a master of using the clock.

 

Most of what CAK is going thru this year is what Page had going last year plus a new coach. The second half of the season Page got it turned around.

 

I doubt that the same officials from last year will call the game this year, because the nursing home they come from has a curfew. Take into consideration that dementia may play a factor in whether or not they could find the field.

Sounds like you really do follow your Page team a lot considering you didn't even know where they were playing. Don't be blaming a loss a year ago on officials. That's pathetic. I am still trying to figure out how your "Seniors" who were benched are going to be playing tonight. You said we didn't get to see them last year, but we will this year. Our seniors graduate from our school. You are making it seem like Page's graduation rate is low to me. Is that what you are saying. And as far as getting under everyone's skin, then I am glad you enjoy being a pain in the butt to everyone. Sounds like you have lots of friends to me.

okay maybe my tactics are a little off but i have an extreme confidence in these ladies. as for you govols you had a prediction about cak in the football forum that was a bit off. Remember that this past year I correctly picked the these teams to win it all....the new york giants, the kansas jayhawks in college basketball and just so i had another correct prediction notched in my big confident belt, i even predicted that the celtics would win the nba championship. but govols theres no need to tell me to go to a new place. Im comfortable right where i am.

Congrats man that you picked those teams right. Maybe you should start putting some money on those games and you could win some if you are so good at it. I am glad you are confident in the CAK team but there is no need to be cocky about it.

"Aintnostoppinthishb" you are sounding a little too full of yourself to me. CAK is going to be a great team, but every other team has just a good as chance at the state title to me.

From my point of view, the last cheap shot looked pretty malicious. Our QB was already on the knee, and the O and D lines were just barely going through the motions, understanding that the QB was taking a knee. 10 other players for CAK did what was right...this one hot head just couldn't control his frustration. He's lucky he wasn't ejected as well.

The hit at the end of the game by the linebacker was before the whistle was snapped and the knee was down. The LB was just trying to make a last effort to get the ball back after they lost it at such a rough time in the game. The DB's play for CAK was unacceptable and should've never happened. That is not normal CAK athletics. It was a stupid play by a new starter. Congrats to Boyd and good luck to both teams. Go Warriors!

Should be a good game overall I believe from both teams. Both teams have looked very strong in the tournament which should lead to a great matchup. Hopefully it's not going to be too hot. CAK is sick and tired of losing to Catholic this year so they are going to bring everything they've got. GO WARRIORS!
