1. QUOTE(Mueller @ May 26 2007 - 12:05 AM) 826467336Some other Key players whose teams did well:

    Backstrom - Farragut

    Walker - Bearden

    Reed - Blackman

    Yah- Science Hill

    Sixtos - Independence

    Putman - Cookeville

    Brown - Hendersonville

    Moorad - Ravenwood

    Chumjock - Gallatin

    Dent, Jacobs - Brentwood

Yah of Science hill - should definitely be consider, but don't know if players on teams that didn't make it to state are actually consider by whoever picks the player. But definitely a player with promising talent and the ability to go very far. Ended the season with 23 goals, 13 Assists and put up an entertaining performance even while loosing to a well organized state champs(Farragut) in the sectionals.

  2. Final :

    Science Hill - 2

    Dobyns-Bennett - 0

    Eddie Yah scored both goals.

soccerfan13, I am certain he's got offers from Winthrop University(d1), The Master's College(CA) and is been highly targeted by ETSU to stick around.. I've heard of a bunch of other schools he's connected with, but wouldn't say anything since those info were not from reliable sources and am not sure.

  3. QUOTE(wildcatrowdy @ May 17 2007 - 10:56 AM) 826461043I believe that Eddie Yah is a fictional character. He is a myth. Noone can be THAT good. Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, and Eddie Yah. He has become legendary on CoachT, but has anyone ever seen him play?

Nowhere on Coacht would you find a post this year talking about how good the kid is. The only posts you will find of him will be stats as every other player. Or is it that he had a injury and then came back to score that many goals thats not true to you? lets stay positive on here.

  4. QUOTE(The Tron Special @ May 16 2007 - 05:54 PM) 826460452Well for Farragut Jake Russell (23 goals 12 assists) and Ben Backstrom (20 goals 17 assists) are their two forwards so they have some offensive power

I am more than certain the Knoxville teams have offensive power aswell and I wasn't trying to say they don't, so lets agree it should be interesting on saturday and the Knoxville teams really wouldn't be superior to db and sh, except the respect of bearden being state champs.

  5. DB has some good players and David Geno (14 Goals, 8 Assists), a freshman is probably the best on db's team after their goalie MikeyAlley. Thomas Odom (7 Goals, 4 Assists) is another one of several outstanding players that they have. Things will be interesting, but you just still can't measure their Attacking power to Science Hill. A Kid that Plays foward for Science Hill Alex Weaver(11 Goals, 3 Assists) , a Freshman has done well with Eddie Yah(21 Goals, 13 Assists) with 4 of those 21 goals coming against D-B in their last 2 meetings. As for going against the Knoxville teams, I think looking at the attacking power of these teams, things will get interesting comes saturday.

  6. QUOTE(turbocab @ May 2 2007 - 09:16 AM) 826449770Was this a Oak Ridge/Farragut situation, or is DB just that much better?

Next week district tournament should prove really whats the situation when it matters. It's the first time DB has won a game against Science Hill in the last 4 years so they've definitely gotten better, but science hill really needs to hold it together in the back. Their defence really hasn't been at its best and it's cost them a lot all this season.

I don't understand how Science Hill can be drop from #8 to #20 without loosing any game to a Tennessee team. They tied a good #4 Knox webb team at Webb's home before webb went on to beat #3 Knox West team that beat #3CAK. Science Hill beat a 4A #5 rank Myrtle Beach (SC) team and lost to exceptionally good teams like St Pius X(GA) and state champs from around the country. From the last few weeks to present, Science Hill has been struggling with injuries to key players: Kilgus(head), Matt Runyon, Horton, and Eddie Yah all battling injuries. I don't know how they can be rank that low, but hopefully they are all back and fully fit before they face CBHS in their first game at the Barry Redmond tournament.
