1. Father Ryan got lucky. Siegel will dominate this year. They already have a great head coach but added another coach from a dominant middle school program. The guy is a baseball stud! Good pitching, good fielding, good hitting, great senior leadership...yes they will dominate. Go Stars!!!!

I can't wait to get my lawn mower.

  2. I'm not surprised about them playing good ball right now. Reavis usually finds a way to do well in the district. I wish I could have watched the game last night or been at the game at warren county (late-inning surge by Siegel). I appreciate everyone's updates and would like for more Siegel postings on the details of the games since I won't get to make all the games this year.

  3. QUOTE(steal3rdbase @ Apr 5 2007 - 12:18 AM) 826430410Congratulations to Siegel and Coach Reavis on the sweep of Warren Co. While the talent at Siegel is down this season, it looks like Reavis is making sure he gets the most out of what he has. They are playing good ball right now, and don't be surprised to see them making a run at the district tournament at the end of the season.

    Siegelicious!

  4. Yes, it is nice to hear that Sonny is doing so well. I hope things work out for him. I just hate the fact that Siegel seemed to peak during the preseason and 'layed an egg' the past two games. Hopefully, we can recover and get back to winning! I've seen this team do it before.

    That stinks...

  6. QUOTE(Live4FridayNite615 @ Mar 11 2007 - 12:17 AM) 826407792Yea preseason doesnt mean anything really in the win and lose column I mean they did give up 9 in one inning so.. just like all the home runs hit that game dont count.. its just pre season

So why mention that Smyrna beat Oakland in preseason if it doesn't count and doesn't mean anything. Can't have it both ways...

  7. All: You keep talking while Siegel keeps winning. Undefeated in preseason and I don't see them losing many games this year. Pitching, defense, consistent hitting, great coaching, great parents, great facilities, great feeder program (SMS-Tobitt/Bartlett), etc. When I get back this weekend, I'm going 'fishin'...

  8. QUOTE(davidlimbaugh @ Feb 21 2007 - 09:50 PM) 826383585hmmm hmm...

Riverdale was named best baseball facility in Middle Tennessee this year by the TBCA - I have the plaque already up in the pressbox

and I don't know about the best fans part either?

And last time I looked at MTSU, there were 3 Warriors in the starting lineup on opening day and 0 Patriots. But in fairness

one Pat is getting some pitching time on the hill and 1 outfielder is playing quite a bit and another is out for the year with an injury.

But another Warrior got an at-bat yesterday and another may get some soon....

And forget hot dogs, we have banana pudding and Somboum's EGG ROLLS!!!!

OK. Oakland and Riverdale have more signees. Would you at least give Siegel one thing? How about the 'hottest moms'?

  9. Do the math:

Siegel has the best overall defense.

Siegel has the best 1-2 punch in pitching. They also have great, experienced relievers.

Siegel has a consistent hitting lineup with speed.

Siegel has the best coaching staff (now that Coach White is gone).

    Siegel has the best school.

    Siegel has the best parents.

    Siegel wins the district.
