Oliver Springs could definitely use someone around who knows soccer. Unfortunately, the school cares little to none about soccer.

I believe you would be hard pressed to find a student section that does not yell out obsenities so lets not act like Kingston's is so terrible. And besides, their's student sections who have done much worse than that...

Stuff like that can be heard from pretty much any school with a solid student section. They're high school kids. Let them have their fun. O, and both the times I heard them chant that, it was deserved...

Kingston wanted the game more and outworked Rockwood all night. They are the better team and won because of it.

You really can't be all that competitive in high school soccer without a solid base of club players. So club needs to stick around and more people need to get involved in it...

I was one of the few who attended the Scott/Kingston game last year, and it wasn't close. Kingston will beat them again this year.

Catholic is the best A/AA team in the state. The only team who could stop them is CAK...

uve got to be kiddin scott was inside the 20 5 tiems and i think insdie the 15 twice when they did score it got called back because of a penalty. scotts D held kingston to 3rd and long and 4th and long almost everytime and scotts Db's couldnet cover a person all night scott got thereselves beat Kingston is good but scott is just as good!

Scott is nowhere near the team Kingston is. The score Friday showed that.

Yes, I agree. That was a pretty intense entrance. Too bad they don't give points for how you run on the field... Although even with some bonus points Scott still was nowhere near up to the the level of Kingston.

i think scott has a good chance to make the playoffs this year. like bassfishing said, the fulton game left scott with a bunch of injuries. their o-line could be in trouble. i think that they can beat LA and AC if they want to and if they play smart, execute, and play intense then i think they can beat kingston as well. Go Scott

If AC plays well Scott doesn't have much of a chance at them, and they have even less of a chance at Kingston.

i can see how they thought it was humorous.. i bet it made their parents were really proud.. i can see it now.. " Yeah, the guy with no shirt on and a cone over his crouch.. yep, thats my boy.." it brings a tear to my eye..

For all of you people out there that were doubting that we could hang with Kingston,i think you owe the entire town of Rockwood an apology,Kingston came out like they were going to roll all over us,but we came out hit them in the mouth and showed them that were not the same team that they played last year and made them play the entire game.I think that we deserve a little respect,we had a chance to win the game,i mean we were in the Red Zone 4 times but mistakes killed us and we just werent able to punch it in.All of the Kingston players,thats right Kingston,not Roane County High School,sorry but that just aint right,but all of them knew from the first play that we werent a joke and that they were in for a dog fight.Just give Rockwood a little respect for not laying down just because they were predicted to get murdered,so just show a little respect and remember that were not going to lay down for anyone.

You sure did lay down and die in the red zone though...

Before Kingston fans start making place for a state championship in their trophy case they need to take off the rose colored glasses and seriously look at what their team really has accomplished so far this season. They beat SINGLE A Harriman....BIG DEAL! If a triple A school cant beat a single A school then they have a problem! And the win over LA wasnt much to brag about either. Sure LA won the state championship last year but practically the entire team graduated and they LOST to SINGLE A Trousdale county before that! And to add insult to injury for LA, Trousdale lost both of their other games, so LA is really sick. So just how big a win was that? Every Kingston fan I know is predicting a state championship this year based on Kingston's mighty victorys so far! If the Kingston team is listening to that kind of talk, Rockwood may just ruin there little party Friday night. And even if they win, there's Catholic, and Fulton and AE and others lying in the weeds just waiting to take a bite out of the Jackets stinger!

If you're going to look at it that way then who cares if Kingston beats a weak 2A team like uhhh...Rockwood...

We understand several people from the Kingston community commented that they played their best game by far last night. We got rocked by the foreign invasion last night as the Yellow Jackets got six of their seven goals from players in their exchange program. I don't want to be precieved as bitter, we got smoked, but I was proud of the kids. We are out manned in all our games, yet we just plug away. We are like that fighter that keeps getting beat to a pulp, but just refuses to stay down. I guess I managed to jinx our defense by stating they were making real progress (gelling). They are, you just couldn't tell it last night. They are all pretty young 2 Freshmen (goalie, stopper), 2 Sophmores (sweeper, fullback), and 1 Junior (fullback). By the way, I didn't actually think the game was as easy as bballplayer makes it seem. Oneida's scores came the same way Kingston's did, by jumping on defensive lapses. I thought the best two scoring opportunities in the second half were both from Oneida.(backwards kick that landed on the Kingston net froze the Keeper and the breakaway in the final minute that the Kingston keeper made a great play on) Kingston was very good offensively last night. If they keep that up they will score against Catholic. Good luck to the guys by the Lake the rest of the way, unless we see you again!

The Oneida game was deffinitely not the best Kingston has played or can play. Also only three or four of Kingston's goals were scored by their two exchange students...which really should not matter because they are just as much a part of the team as anyone else.
