  1. caver had a really impressive game against ravenwood in the semifinal game, and im sure that if he had played like that all season he would have gotten something. I was a little suprised to see alex barnes getting higher then , carver, kay, and myself. I'm not saying he isn't good goalie just that he didn't seem to have a nearly as much of an impressive season then kay, carver, myself and even jason daniels from MUS. I know that you can't judge a player based solely on stats, but even so he did not even have that great of stats. But I geuss we'll just see next season. What grade is Henry Kay in?

This is strictly my opinion but I think its very bold for Abernathy to rank himself anywhere near Carver Morgan and Henry Kay, much less put himself ahead of Barnes. Barnes was good and will be better next year. Regardless that there is some questioning on whether he is first team all state or not, he's still good and he's better than Abernathy.

  2. MBA will play a solid game, unlike the one before, and win. plus, they have home field advantage..im sayin MBA in a close one...and i'll go out on a limb and say they'll play MUS on saturday for the State Championship.

  3. Does anyone know who plays who in the state tournament? DI and DII would be appeciated. Also, does anyone know if we are playing on field turf or grass?

I think all of the quarterfinal games for D1 will be played at the higher seed's home field, but the semi-final and final games for D1 will be played next weekend on MBA's turf. The match-ups I think are as follows:

    1. MUS vs. 4. Webb

    2. Houston vs. 3 Ravenwood

    1. MBA vs. 4 Father Ryan

    2. McCallie vs. 4. CBHS.

anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

  4. This is true. When playing a team that is of a lesser calibur than your team, many coaches will keep their starters in, and so their stats will greatly increase, which ultimately makes them seem like they are incredible. But on the other hand, teams such as McCallie, when playing a team that is not very good and defeating them to a great extent, will pull out their starters in order for other players to get PT, or playing time if you will. Therefore, the stats make one player seem outstanding when in actuallity he is not as good as the stats make him out to be. So don't judge people by their stats....yeah

Cahill has put up significant stats in the games against quality teams; 5 against Lassiter, 3 and 4 against MUS, and has points in the Ravenwood and Lovett games. So stats may skew some peoples perception of ability, but they can also show who comes to play.
