1. the only game of "upset" status i can see possible is anyone versus riverdale

because they been counted out as being a contender anymore

but somewhere i read on here that james should be coming back for the tourney,

and if thats true then i think that will catch the first two games riverdale plays off guard

  2. QUOTE(Coniglio @ Apr 29 2007 - 07:11 PM) 826447986And yet we wonder why they're so good.

Maybe we should play whenever on whatever....

ive thought about this for a good 7 minutes

and ive come to the conclusion that to win the world cup ( not the next one, think more long term)

that we should start our younger players playing in asphalt alleyways barefooted,

then we should be able to easily take the Brazilians (or any other nation )on any type of field

  3. QUOTE(KeithHamilton @ Apr 28 2007 - 06:52 AM) 826447373No one gave Oakland a chance against Blackman four years ago when Blackman was the front runner at that time. However, on the last game of the season Blackman had to come from behind to tie Oakland and their tie gave Warren County the regular season district title. Can it happen? Anything is possible when it gets to the end of the season and tournament time.

We will know where everything stands after Tuesday as long as the weather does not prevent any of the games from getting played. I don't know if Tullahoma was having an off game but from what I saw last night, Siegel outplayed them and should have gotten the win.

Could district 7 AAA sweep the Regionals? It is very possible. However, there is a lot to go through before we even get close to that point. The District 7 AAA tournament should be a very competitive tournament this year. The six top teams should make for great games to watch and any of them could step up at tournament time. Lebanon is a threat and should not be overlooked by anyone. They are capable of playing with a lot of emotion and intensity which on the right night could lead to an upset. Even though Riverdale is down this year, never count Coach Arman out at tournament time. He has a way of getting the competitiveness out of his guys at tournament time. When everything is said and done, whoever the top two teams are that come out of District 7 AAA they will have been through some battles to get there. I do not believe this to be true of District 8 AAA from what I have seen. Once you get past Tullahoma and Shelbyville, the rest of the teams are not very strong or competitive. They should not have as hard of a time or as physical of games as the District 7 teams will have. Anyway, let the games begin .....

not to down oakland, but for them to beat us (Blackman) they are going to have to have some amazing endurance because they play 4 games in 4 days and Oakland vs Blackman is the last of those

  4. QUOTE(underrated27 @ Apr 17 2007 - 06:55 AM) 826439205Cookeville at Warren County tonight.... both teams should see where they're at... if you haven't heard Cookeville just came out of that Hendersonville tournament and correct me if I'm wrong beat Germantown 3-1 with 15-20 minutes left (called off bad weather) tied Baylor 1-1 and lost to Houston 2-1, so they've found a groove

Warren County just came off of a win against Riverdale this past Friday, tonight should be a good game. I'll post the score asap if no one else has.

    warren county 3

    Cookeville 4

  5. from my pov

it seems like riverdale has had a hard time adjusting to not having shayne up top

and the unfortunate circumstances with james' injury

I imagine they will work something out soon though, Arman will get it sorted out before to much longer

  6. QUOTE(Whitey @ Apr 4 2007 - 03:19 PM) 826430021We both know that. That is why we said what we did and why we wished that they could have gotten the last 4 minutes in so that it would have counted. But..... thanks anyway.

at first it sounded like you were sayin it still should have counted being that close

but looking at it again i see what your sayin

  7. QUOTE(titan4life01 @ Apr 4 2007 - 01:34 PM) 826429873bristol, the goalkeeper from bga, is as athletic and instinctive as they come.... he's got a huge frame (about 6'5"), and played well (though he wasn't tested very often) in the second half of bga's game against franklin last week.

I was also really impressed with bristol

hes completely shutdown most of our air game

when he went in on the 2nd half (blackman)

  8. QUOTE(RIVDALESOCCRDAD @ Apr 2 2007 - 08:50 PM) 826428597Alex Farley is the backup keeper. He is a sophamore and he has played very well in place of James Holt. He played a great game against Ooltewah and Baylor.

...ah how unfortunate, maybe some nerves will kick in and he wont do so well in his next game /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

    atho

its good that riverdale isnt down and out because of an injury

  9. QUOTE(stonebball0607 @ Apr 2 2007 - 08:07 PM) 826428561Just curious why the stone memorial boys arnt on there. they are 3-0 in district and 4-0 overall.

becuase WHO you play matters just as much as your results

yeah they beat oneida and oliver springs...

but whos ever heard of those teams?

  10. QUOTE(sccr11 @ Mar 30 2007 - 10:33 PM) 826426973The experience and size of Blackman showed. How many seniors did they start? It was the first time that many of BGA's young players had played in a game of that intensity. BGA responded well in the second half and will look forward to a good season as they gain experience. Looking at their schedule, it doesn't get much easier.

    Blackman started rough 7-8 seniors

i haveta say while we did get the upper hand in the first half

BGA stepped up in the second

and i was really impressed with that 2nd half goalie, he's beastly and has quite a future ahead of him

  11. QUOTE(ThomasJ @ Mar 29 2007 - 09:10 PM) 826426244We do something different 3-5-2 A lot of flexability but most have three studs in the back.

    yeah i prefer the 3-5-2

with a strong core midfield it is beastly

it seems to help keep from getting outnumbered anywhere on the field

and if the other team can't control the middle of the field it cuts down on their offensive opportunities

  12. QUOTE(THEWALL07 @ Mar 27 2007 - 11:08 AM) 826423996yes very touching but im going with lebanon in the mix with riverdale and cookeville for number 1!

i heard that riverdales keeper has a shoulder injury and maybe out for a while

    is this true?

    and if so

i imagine that will toss them out of the top two spots

  13. QUOTE(sweep22 @ Mar 25 2007 - 10:58 PM) 826422627cookeville slaughters in this one. they have to much talent in the mid field and up top this year.

Do you guys even think about being realistic in this thing???

    cookevillle tied Hendersonville

    who was beat by LaVergne

    blackamn stomped laVergne

    Im calling Blackman by alot

  14. QUOTE(TNtnns_07 @ Mar 7 2007 - 07:19 PM) 826404009This is 2007, not 2006. And if you read all of my post I said that they have matured alot over the year and play smarter than they did last year. I know this because I did watch them in tournaments and ALL of their starters play on the same club team and have for 8 years. Im just sayin dont count them out of it yet. They will pull some upsets. Mark my words

so that makes TN high the same as like 6 other teams....

and thats not even naming the club team

some club teams ive seen could get stomped by most highschool teams

so unless the club has a good rep

theres little need for making claims before THS beats anyone important

  15. QUOTE(BlackmanSoccerDad @ Mar 4 2007 - 10:35 AM) 826399224We had many chances against Antioch and just couldn't put it in the back of the net. They only had two consecutive chances against us, and Paul Gilbert stuff both, great play by him. I don't think they are as good as they were last year, but I only saw them once last year.'

It was legitmate PK against Smryna. I'll give you the dive against you guys, but boy it was a pretty dive. Only Tyler knows if it was a dive or not. Matt wanted to throw in his two cents and says wheather he made or missed it, the result was the same as last year. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Have your dad call me today.

i thought nick benson put one in on antioch early on?

i could be wrong but i left those scrimmages thinking we won all 4
