AGREE 100% we miss him greatly! Coach P will never take the falcons or do for the falcons like Barger did! Him and his brother are awesome. I met his brother at my sons playoff game last year. outstanding

Did you tell your son that he shouldn't yell at his father? If kids don't respect their parents it's hard for a coach to get the respect he needs to get them playing as a team. Just an observation!

He was yellling because he got beat by a team like Greenfield and this time lastyear his team was on the way to the 1st round playoffs!! And if I wanted to apply I have enough education to get it i promise. I would rather enforce the law for the stae of Tennessee

Now that Coach P has imbarrased Lake County and Lake County players maybe he will figure out that everybody has figured out how he is and ready for him to get back to his peanut fields! I had to work Friday night and didnt get to make the game but was getting updated and the hole time i really wasnt believing it! But I did when my son called me after the game and yelled at me and said now do you understand why I wanted to quit or go to a different school. THAT IS VERY SAD! They need to start accepting application for a new LC coach!!

Congrats to Greenfield on the win..They were by far the best team tonight..Like Volfan said , could have been worse..Lake Co played terrible but were just outmanned..Lake Co played without several starters tonight...several linemen...Dominique Kimble ,receiver was kicked off the team or maybe quit on his own..not sure..but he wasn't on the team..After I got to Greenfield..Carlos Young ,the other receiver was in a walking boot..heard he may be out for 3 or 4 weeks..if that's the case..will miss several basketball games..I didn't know he was hurt until I got there..So..both receivers were out for this game...Lake Co didn't hardly throw at all..no one to throw to...Then with the score 16-0..Lake Co scored in the second quarter from 5 yard out to make the score 16-6 but Seth Hinson,quarterback for Lake Co, was hurt on the play and didn't play the rest of the way..So..Sam Hays came in the rest of the way and Lake Co was helpless with no passing game at all..And Sam played ok...Bogan was banged up going into the game and didn't play defense until the 2nd quarter..I guess to try to slow Greenfield down...Greenfield was having their way around the ends all night long..I'm not trying to take anything away from Greenfield...didn't lose from officiating....I just wished these guys would have been playing to maybe at least make the game a little interesting..Greenfield would have won anyway..Faster players..receiver looked good..quarterback looked good..all around looked to be a good team..I wish you guys were going to the playoffs...Again..not making excuses..Just wanted Greenfield to know that Lake Co has a better team than what they saw tonight..

I posted on another post yesterday that Lake Co had a receiver that was supposedely off the team or was told to take his uniform off..As for the football coach telling the cheerleaders to go sit in the stands..I don't know if that happened or not..and if it did..maybe he was just trying to say there was nothing to cheer about..If that did happen and again I don't know that it did..I would imagine Tracy Hinson would win that battle..I was at the basketball jamboree Monday and heard that Kimble didn't practice,so he may not be with the team anymore..Lake Co Falconfan answered this question and he knows just about anything associated with the program..He said Bogan was playing..He should know what happened at half time of the game in question..I won't reveal who he is ..other than to say ..he knows some things behind the scenes..

Yeah some of lc players are out of control! they mouth mouth mouth all the time if they would play football like they mouthed we wouldn't be strugglin for a playoff spot!!

I have no opinion on this matter. Or at least I'm apparently not allowed to. And even if I did, it would most likely be taken completely out of context.

I saw Hinson last night at the middle school basketball game..He looked ok ..The coach,from what I hear told our starting receiver to take his pads off..He wasn't at practice yesterday from what I was told last night so I guess he's through..

I dont blame kimble when coach p is telling them at half time that mckenzie is playing like champs and we cant beat them and he tried to take up 4 his team and got quicked of the team! COACH P IS SORRY!!!

Deleted because apparently people can't handle my opinions. I'll shorten my thoughts to say, I support Coach P in everything he does. I support Lake County Football and its players and coaches.

 

And if anyone has a problem with what I say, take it up with me. My opinions are my own, no one else's. Contrary to popular belief, I am actually capable of forming my own opinions.

Big Wes what got deleted? Since you stated your opinion im going to state mine! Im glad that you think he's a good coach but I don't. Im sorry I just don't. My son loves football and has never said anything about quiting ever since he started in 6th grade and this year he come home and said dad can i please quit or transfer to another school! Thats when I knew something wasnt going right in LC football. Alot of the players said he's more worried about the women he's dating then coaching football. He also thinks that he has control over anything that goes on on the football field. If tracey hinson wants her cheerleaders on the field they can be! now that i have stated my opinion im going to say good luck to the Falcons friday!!

There are no internal problems with Lake Co. Bogan will play in the game. A few of the falcons are banged up right now. Not sure of the status of Kimble being on the team or not.He did not practice today. I would not put alot of stock on what you hear about the falcons everything is fine with them as far as internal problems. The falcons have 3 starters out and they have been out since the Bruceton game. None of the three will play this week. The key for LC is to slow down the Greenfield running game.If they can do that then they will be ok.

I guess some people never change! People told coach P at the begging of the season that 1 particular player had a bad attitude and wouldn't be a good influence 4 the team! But he siad he could changer him and turn him around but he is still the same and not leading my son that is a sophmore and needs leadership at all! He should be a leader and not tear the team down by running his mouth. He has been this way ever since him and my son started playing T-ball together. He shouldnt let him come back! Just my opinion

I agree, McKenzie does have a great team on both sides of the ball. Kick off coverage is a little weak for that was our only bright spot all night. Speed kills and the Rebs proved it. It was poor sportsmanship on Mckenzie's coach to keep passing the ball trying to score when they were up 50-0. They had already beat our tails so what was the point? Now our coach didn't even want the cheerleaders on the sideline cheering. He wanted them to get in the stands and cheer. Whoever heard of that. I see he didn't get his way though. Instead of worry about the cheerleaders maybe it would be a good ideal to worry about playing football. The last time we gave up 50 points or more to Mckenzie we did score too and it was 54-53. 50-0 is not Lake County football. When a head coach tells his team at the half that McKenzie was playing like champions and we can't beat them, that's wrong. No motivator. Then when a true born Falcon speaks up for his team and school pride the coach tells him to take off his uniform because he's done for the night is even more wrong. With an attidtude like that coach P no wonder your a looser. Hats off to the Rebs, great speed, sharp QB, and tough defense. Everybody comes to see the offense but defense wins championship and you have both. Good luck in the playoffs.

I agree Coach P has some major issues!! I imagine Mrs.Tracey Hinson defended her cheerleaders well! I bet it would've been funny to see them to at it! Coach needs to sit back and rethink some things if he wants to stick around in Falcon Country!

Lake County Football is went to the dogs this year! Coach P has no discipline on any of the players. I seen images of it at the 1st of the year and thought he would take care of the problem. Obviously he didnt i know there is one player that is a reciever and has a awful criminal back ground that fights or curses a player every play! What is going on? It is very sad that he lets this go on. Then he passes it on 4 and 35 after Seth got sack nemerous times. It is getting awful somebody needs to give this coach some advice. I think all of Coach P supporters are becomin non supporters!

Heard this morning at the coffe shop in Ridgely that several starters quit and got in to it at pratice! Whats going on with this if anybody knows fill me in thanks

Wow. The guy has been on the job for, what, a little over 4 months now, and you're ready to run him off because he wants his team to look like professionals on game day? Maybe if those players that he's "not letting play" had taken care of business in the summer instead of waiting until mid-August to decide they wanted to play, they would be out there right now instead of whining about it on a message board under a not-very-anonymous screen name.

 

Barger was a great coach and did a lot of great things for the Lake County program. But some of y'all are acting like he's the reincarnation of Vince Lombardi or something. At this stage of the game, I don't see how anyone could possibly say that Coach P is any better or any worse than Coach Barger. They have both been great for the program thus far, and that's really all that matters right now.

From what i heard Matt Irwin tried to come back the 1st of June and made several attempts! This is not Matt Irwin its a person that thinks highly of matt and thinks that he could him the team out tremoundsly. He has not done anything to be denied the privelage to play. what he told the coach was that he needed to take a couple of weeks off because of his mom and dad getn a divorce. Kind of bad thats why he can't play. But anyway I talkd to him Friday at the game and he said that he's going to start hitting the weights all winter and have a Explosive year like he should be this year!

coach p will never be the coach coach b was. why would a coach leave 4a in ga and land in tn at a 1a school? was he run off? this move makes no sense knowing lake co lost 12 or 13 seniors. nothing against the fine players we have now but something smells fishy. this 1 horse town must have had something he liked since he is here now. coach p never coached in the nfl. just a rumor. check his past to see whats in the closet and let us know.

I don't beleve it would do any good..Probably is and should be the coach's call..I wish as well as anyone that he was playing and if nothing else the coach give him a chance and really make him work his way back..At the same time..the coach is looking at it probably that he is a returning starter and should have come out in the spring..but..Matt could have been out of town ,working..I don't know the situation there..But even so..most coaches still want you putting time in the weight room or something after work..If Matt were just moving to Lake Co..probably would be allowed to play..The coach probably thinks he was just wanting to skip all the practices and if he didn't care enough to come out with the rest of the returning players..then we ..Lake Co don't need him..It doesn't look good...Not sure he would be able to transfer to those other schools without making a move..He could transfer now without moving..sit out this year and play next year..If he waits until next year,his senior year..I doubt he will be eligible without moving..But..with him not playing this year..he may be eligible since it would be a year gone by with him not playing in his sport..So..he would still be sitting out a year..but I'm not sure if he would have to transfer first..

I just heard that Irwin parents talked to dyersburg coach Bowlin and he said he would be proud to have him on the team and that he would be elgible to play because he has a family member that lives in Dyersburg. Now the question is will Matt leave his home town and his roots to play ball?? im very anxious to see where this is going! Could be a big stink stirred up. I'm assumming you're talking about Matt Irwin,who I believe played at Lake Road in middle school..He's not playing this year..According to Lake Co Falcon..he has never ask about playing..so I really don't know the reason he's not playing.

Yeah im talking about Matt Irwin. Im pretty sure he played for the Black Oak Eagles and was a standout and carried them to the championship both years he was in middle school with the help of the obion central standouts Chase Clanton and Hunter Calhoun. I caught wind in the coffee shop the other morning that hes tried to go back several times and said he would sacrifice and do anything to be back on the team and the coach wouldn't even talk about it! I think its a shame that a kid wants to play ball that bad and the coach won't let him! I also heard that his parents are going to carry it to the board and get something done if not it will be a big possibilty of transfiring to Dyersburg or Union City. I hope to see him in the green and gold because we could use some good talent in the backfield and on the defense. Irwin and Mills anchored it down pretty well last year! lets see what happens
